Thanks for reccing 'Yajnaseni'. I wanted to know about a book which would be from Draupadi's perspective but which wont be distortion like 'The Palace of Illusions' was. Even I dont care for the Karna-Draupadi angle, thats a third thind common between us.😉

Hi Devashree. Thanks for the warm welcome. "Yajnaseni' is a good read- it's English translation (because the original is in Oriya) is not the best piece of writing but the emotional details and Draupadi's feelings are better conveyed in this book. POI is written by a great writer and is a very well written book but it's very Karan centric. I know in certain parts of India that's a acceptable version of the story..

The more I read about Draupadi, the more I respect this woman...

Even though I have seen all the episodes, I agree, since Draupadi's entry the story has become more interesting. I love the fact the makers are paying attention to Draupadi's POV in this show

Agree with all your points! Yes! Yajnaseni and Palace of Illusion, both are engaging reads, i loved them even though there is a lot of fiction, imagination and personal opinion in both, especially in POI but they are novels, so it is inevitable.

And Arjuna: the saga.

Hi Medha. Thanks for the warm welcome. I have enjoyed both books too and even though they are fictional, who is to say what Draupadi actually felt? It's interesting to get inside the head of such a unique character

How is Govinda and Arjuna? Is it more about 'Gita' or does it highlight their friendship aspect more?

Anyways, I too agree with most of all your points however I would like to add

1. Costumes are by Oscar winner (India's few) Bhanu Athaiya.

2. the SFX are better IMO than in BRC's MB

3. I too did not like the Karan-Draupadi angle in POI; I felt the author's biasness towards Karan over Arjun was perhaps the reason for this.

Hi gossiogirl21...another QH fan? I was a QH fan too (once upon a time😉)

I agree, I'd rather just focus on the pluses of this show. It's easy to find faults, but this team has worked really hard and are now even working harder since the show went on air 6 days a week...

BRC MB was a classic and I agree, no one can remake it like he did but this new version has it's own charm..

hi welcome to the forum.this is the best show on star plus. I agree with u on almost all points.the best thing is the focus on grey. My fav character is krishna in mb & performance wise most of the actors r doing a great job.yeah i luv draupadi 2.puja is doing a fab job.right nw puja & krishna r my fav actors in the show.

Hi Megha...looks like I have 'seen' you elsewhere (in another forum)

Pooja has certainly grown on me...i wasn't impressed initially but she is very good at emoting with her eyes and now I look forward to her scenes as much as Krishna's

Amongst the women, I liked the actor who played Satyavati- she was a great actress too

I agree...my sisters and our dear friend have been going gaga over the fact that this MB has such hot actors compared to the uncle jis in BRC's MB; altho I think uncle N was an excellent Krishna

Arjun is the best but Yudi number 2; esp after the awesomeness displayed in yesterday;s episode.

I think my opinion of the character overshadows my opinion of the actor playing Karan.

P.S IMO strictly based on looks, the cutest Krishna till date has to be Vishal Karwal in DBSK; alas that show ended and Imagine closed down and VK has no interest in mytho shows and SRJ's towering personality matches the role so here we are.
