Arjun Married Subhadra Krishna's Sister...

Subhadra and Arjuna have an only son, Abhimanyu

He became a valiant warrior.

Later he married Uttara and had a son named Parikshit. Abhimanyu died in the Kurukshetra war.

So Arjun hav only Grandson...

Of the sons, it's not known about
  • Yaudeha - Yudisthir/Devika
  • Sarvaga - Bhima/Valandhara
  • Nirmitra - Nakul/Karenamati
  • Saugada - Sahadev/Vijaya
The above 4 may have not taken part in the war, and thereby survived. Although that would then beg the question - why was one of them - preferably Yaudeha - not made king when Yudisthir decided to retire? Other possibility - they died either in the war, or were killed by Ashwatthama like Draupadi's sons.

All of Draupadi's sons were massacred by Ashwatthama. Ghatotkacha was slain by Karna, Abhimanyu by Dushashan's son, Iravana by Alambusha. Only son of Arjun who survived was Babruvahana, who from a succession standpoint was irrelevant, since Arjun had already pledged him to his FIL Chitravahana. So it's perfectly possible that the Pandavas each had a surviving son, but that raises more questions than it answers.

Ok.
But why wouldnt these sons have taken part in the war?
Were not they old enough?
And if they did take part in the war then they couldnt have survived.
7 people were alive on the pandavas side?
If they were alive, then were they mentioned?

Ashwathama killed all pandavas sons...even the minors who didnt fight the war...Uttara who was pregnant with parikshit suffered miscarriage.
Lord Krishna gave back life to parikshit since technically he was unborn.
So the only surviving descedent of Pandavas was parikshit...
maybe there were other survivors too but they were not in line of succession hence irrelevant.

All of them loved her the same. Bhima was more impulsive and gets stuff done for Draupadi. I think that's why people say Bheema loved her the most. The truth is all 5 loved and respected Draupadi. They valued her opinion on all matters.
I think all 5 loved her and it is difficult to measue love based on certain actions. It is possible that Arjuna was closer to Subhadra. But Draupadi was the main wife for all the other 4 brothers (I have never heard any other love stories) Bheema also married another woman much later.

I'm by no means a fan of Draupadi, but I wonder where did the canard come from that the other Pandava wives weren't allowed in Indraprastha or Hastinapur, particularly b'cos of her?

In some cases, it's easily busted. In a previous Papashon thread about Draupadi, citations were easily provided about how, when the Pandavas went into exile, Dhrishtadyumna came to see them, having collected Draupadi's sons, and similarly, Dhrishtaketu came to see them as well, having collected Nakul's wife. Similarly, in Ashramavatika parva, it's clearly mentioned that all the Pandava wives waited on Gandhari like servants 😡, and they are listed - aside from Kunti & Draupadi, there's Uloopi, Chitrangada, Subhadra, Karenamati and Jarasandha's daughter who was Sahadev's wife.

Aside from that, it is specifically mentioned in Adi Parva that Bhima approached the ruler of Kashi, impressed him w/ his wrestling skills and in return for that entertainment, sought Valandhara's hand. Why would he leave her in Kashi after marrying her, when he'd have to return to Indraprastha? Obviously, he'd have taken her w/ him. He'd have wanted a wife who could serve him when Draupadi wasn't available for him, and he couldn't take Hidimba for reasons described further below.

I do think that Devika's omission in the Ashramavatika parva was inadvertent. As for the omission of Valandhara, there is a very good reason. Bhima hated this arrangement of the Pandava wives serving Gandhari, since he held Dhritarashtra & Gandhari responsible for all the sufferings that the Pandavas had gone thru, including the fact that all their sons were dead. So I think it very likely that he explicitly forbade Valandhara from serving Gandhari, and only serve Kunti. If the husband gave such an order, there was no way it could be overridden - not by Kunti, not by Draupadi, not even by Yudisthir.

The only Pandava wife who never went to either Indraprastha or Hastinapur was Hidimba, since she was a rakshashi, and that too, a former cannibal. So allowing her in was out of the question. But everyone else - including Uloopi - was welcomed to Hastinapur, particularly during and after the Ashwamedha yagna.

The only thing I hold against Draupadi was Subhadra having to go to her as a milkmaid.

I'm glad that you pointed out dat Draupadi was not the one to prevent the other wives from staying at Indraprastha. Bcoz, there are many people, who are under the impression on dat Draupadi did INJUSTICE to other women by not letting them stay at Indraprastha. I think dat the condition she made, was probably that, while she's with a certain husband for one year, wives of that husband cannot be around for dat particular year. Since, she couldn't be with anyone she wanted to at any time, she probably wanted to enjoy exclusivity, at the limited time she got with one husband. But again, dat is my interpretation.
By da way, y do u dislike Draupadi for the milk-maid thing? I think it was Arjun's decision. Maybe, he too felt, dat Draupadi was possessive about him more, than the other brothers. Besides, she was Lord Krishna's sister. Maybe none of them wanted her to have a grudge against the sister of her beloved Sakha. Besides, if I'm not wrong then, the year in which Arjun returned was the one he was to spend with Draupadi. That is y, I think he made the plan of making Subhadra her milk-maid, to make her spare Subhadra from her condition. Again my interpretation.
