As 4 Yudhi - you know he never lies except when he has to kill Drona😆 So, Bheem loved food most not Draupadi😈 and he loved her as much as Hdimba and Valandra and whomever else he married

Oh, perhaps Yudhishtira believed it to be truth ... so when he spoke that, he was speaking truth but perhaps it was wrong entirely 😈😆
I think that Yudhishtira and Draupadi had something going on that Vyas did not wrote about😛😉
I get weird wives from these two as a couple. The samrath and samragyi

Even am suspicious about Dharmaraj and Princess Panchali... cuz firstly Yudhi is the one that provided the suggestion of polyandry when Kunti mispoke. Also, per their rotation rule whose wife was she when he staked her? when he did Raj Sui? Unless those were his years - he obviously thought he had extra haq over her than his brothers😈

I think they both were always being cruel to each other on purpose, for a totally different reason ... Bet yudhi wsnt happy that Drau allowed Subhi to stay with them while Yudhis wife wasnt allowed. So suspicious if you know what i mean.😆😉

Its also conspicuous that Draupadi took care of Yuddhi's booboo even after Bheem and Arjun killed Keechak for her😆

She collected his blood ...
i think i read somewhere that his blood, if fell on earth could destroy the land or something.
And there was Arjunas vow too ...

But Draupadi was quick to take care of his injury even though just somedays ago Yudhi insulted her in that same court too

I'm by no means a fan of Draupadi, but I wonder where did the canard come from that the other Pandava wives weren't allowed in Indraprastha or Hastinapur, particularly b'cos of her?

In some cases, it's easily busted. In a previous Papashon thread about Draupadi, citations were easily provided about how, when the Pandavas went into exile, Dhrishtadyumna came to see them, having collected Draupadi's sons, and similarly, Dhrishtaketu came to see them as well, having collected Nakul's wife. Similarly, in Ashramavatika parva, it's clearly mentioned that all the Pandava wives waited on Gandhari like servants 😡, and they are listed - aside from Kunti & Draupadi, there's Uloopi, Chitrangada, Subhadra, Karenamati and Jarasandha's daughter who was Sahadev's wife.

Aside from that, it is specifically mentioned in Adi Parva that Bhima approached the ruler of Kashi, impressed him w/ his wrestling skills and in return for that entertainment, sought Valandhara's hand. Why would he leave her in Kashi after marrying her, when he'd have to return to Indraprastha? Obviously, he'd have taken her w/ him. He'd have wanted a wife who could serve him when Draupadi wasn't available for him, and he couldn't take Hidimba for reasons described further below.

I do think that Devika's omission in the Ashramavatika parva was inadvertent. As for the omission of Valandhara, there is a very good reason. Bhima hated this arrangement of the Pandava wives serving Gandhari, since he held Dhritarashtra & Gandhari responsible for all the sufferings that the Pandavas had gone thru, including the fact that all their sons were dead. So I think it very likely that he explicitly forbade Valandhara from serving Gandhari, and only serve Kunti. If the husband gave such an order, there was no way it could be overridden - not by Kunti, not by Draupadi, not even by Yudisthir.

The only Pandava wife who never went to either Indraprastha or Hastinapur was Hidimba, since she was a rakshashi, and that too, a former cannibal. So allowing her in was out of the question. But everyone else - including Uloopi - was welcomed to Hastinapur, particularly during and after the Ashwamedha yagna.

The only thing I hold against Draupadi was Subhadra having to go to her as a milkmaid.

vrisj, one confusion though.
Wasn't Chitrangada always in maniour, that was main reason why she was brought up as a man and her son was anoited the ruler of Manipur after her. Her father never wanted her to leave manipur.
other wives I can imagine being with their husbands after the war, to enjoy the fruits of hard labour.

Offtopic: no wonder parikhsit was so spoiled. pandavas had no sons left. So apart from parikshit, no heir, and an army of step mothers, and aunts to spoil him.

No, her father's condition was just that her son should inherit his kingdom, not Arjun's. He made no conditions regarding Chitrangada.

She lived in Manipur all her life. When Babruvahana went to Hastinapur to attend the Ashwamedha yagna, she & Uloopi accompanied him. After the yagna was over, Babruvahana left, leaving them behind w/ Arjun. When the Pandavas decided to retire w/ Draupadi on their swargarohan yatra, Subhadra was made regent of both Parikshit & Vajra, while the other queens - Devika, Valandhara, Karenamati & Sahadev's wife remained w/ them. However, Uloopi returned to her underwater Naga kingdom (am not clear whether the reference meant that she drowned herself) while Chitrangada returned to Babruvahana in Manipura.

Short story: Chitrangada spent her entire life in Manipura, except those 36 years.
