Back 2 epi - did B say MataSatyavati told him to get Yuddhi crowned via Vidur? SAY WHAT? Satyavati is still alive?😲 I know she went off for Sanyas...still? N y vartalaap with Vidur not B himself?

i think satyavati told that to vidur when she went to pick up pandavas from the forest and found pandu had died.She was disspointed in Dhrit and his sons after Dhrit called her a fisherwoman or soemthing.Then she had asked vidur to ensure yudi gets crowned as king and i think vidur would have told the same to Bheeshm

Ahh but after you have lost yourself, you can't have property ... you're finished. Even if women were not considered to be property, Yuddhi had no right over her after he lost himself not to mention the fact that he himself did not have the full right over his brothers, his kingdom, let alone his wife.

Himself - He doesn't have a claim over himself even ... as the eldest brother, he was responsible for everyone...

His brothers - they were younger to Yuddhi, so you would think that he has a right, but don't they belong to their respective wives too, don't they belong to their mother and father, etc.

His kingdom - Indraprasth may have had Yuddhi as it's ruler, but it wasn't founded by only Yuddhi. It took the hard work of the other 4 brothers too. And you can't have a kingdom without having a population, thus Indraprasth belonged to the citizens as much as it belonged to Yuddhi as much as it belonged to the other Pandavas and Draupadi

His wife - this is an easy one. Even if Yuddhi and Draupadi were "going" for that year, this still doesn't give him a right to stake her.

But I don't think I've heard anyone speak DURING the dice game either (except Vidura... damn that guy has guts ... ). Maybe a few lazy "stop this duryodhana.. stop this oh king" ... king / duryodhan: shut up ... everyone: ok boss...

Now going back to Draupadi and to emphasize my point. The entire point of the dice game was to make Yuddhi a slave because a slave has no rights. Even if Dury frees Yuddhi later on, Yuddhi would have no claim to the kingdom either. He would have to start from the ground floor. Even Nala (of Nala and Damayanti) had that much self-restraint to not stake himself nor his wife!

But after writing the above stuff, I guess we can blame it on Yuddhi's addiction ... but that doesn't free anyone else in the court room for what happened before and during and after. Only Vidura was the cool one ... they should have forced him to be a King or given him a special position to override the king when needed because having a blind king as a ruler is pretty stupid.

Shyam - me thinks you are over your Yuddhi affair🤣🤣 Really feel for Yuddhi. He was WRONG in everyway in those moments and it tainted all that he was - ruler, brother, husband, dhama ka prateek. He should have stuck to bhalla practice

Vidura was almost flawless. His only misstep was not instructing Pandavas to return asap to HP after varnavath. They should have returned and tossed Dury & Co on their butts

Maybe he thought with time, he with Pandavas would make IP stronger than HP and defeat HP thus bringing HP under IP and then Dharm is established all over HP, the entire kingdom😛

Also, when they say HP, don't they mean the entire kingdom ? In the map that they show at times doesn't it say in bold HP ?
