Why Arjuna picked Jayadratha? this is what I think.. Because he knew the actual men behind were Yudishtar his Brother & Drona his Guru.. he respects and loves them both.. Killing them is no question at all..

Killing others may be he felt were difficult, time consuming, or killing them was part of someone else's vow..

So he picked Jayadratha instead to instantly vent his rage.. to his bad luck it did not happen instantly..

@Diala, I think he picked Jaidrath because Jaidrath prevented any of the Pandavs from helping Abhimanyu...if he weren't there, Bhima and others would have protected Abhimanyu

Also, there were six maharathis involved in Abhi's death, so it's easier to target one

Duhasana's son just gave the final deathly blow but the other maharathis had already made Abhi defenseless

The Narayanis only were the Shamshaptakas. The Trigartha princes were killed throughout the war, and Susharma was the last major Kaurava warrior to be slain by Arjun - the same time that Bhima killed Sudarshan & Sahadev Ulooka & Shakuni.

Samsaptakas were actually the Trigarta warriors. The Narayani Sena probably seemed to have joined them to boost the numbers

How is Yudhisthir responsible? He and the Pandavas had full intention to enter Chakravyuha behind Abhimanyu, but Jayadratha blocked them until it was too late. Moreover, Yudhisthir asking Abhimanyu to break the Chakravyuha is not wrong. Once in a war, any warrior is fair game to fight anywhere, and since Abhimanyu was the only person besides Arjuna who knew how to break the Chakravyuha, it was reasonable for Yudhisthir to ask him. They did not expect Abhimanyu to have to fight on his own, as they were planning on following him from behind.

Dronacharya is the main culprit. There is a saying in Mahabharat that after Bhishma died, both sides started fighting with adharma and Dronacharya started it. He killed many normal warriors in an unethical way, and the death of Abhimanyu was orchestrated by him too.

Although it was Dushashan's son who gave Abhimanyu the final death blow, six warriors were involved in stripping him of his weapons so all are blamed for his death. As per war ethics, more than one person cannot engage in fight with one warrior, and since six warriors worked together to break Abhimanyu's bow, chariot and other weapons, they all are blamed for his unethical death though it was Dushashan's son who gave him the final blow.

It was after Abhimanyu's death that the Pandavas too began playing unfairly. Neither side cared much for ethics at that point. They were in it to kill.

It's not right to blame yudi for everything

I think this makes sense. If Arjun was unaware of the murky details of how Abhi was killed inside the Chakravyuh, then the only person he could vent out his anger on was Jaydrath. Also, I think there was also some guilt and anger involved in not killing Jaydrath when the Pandavas had the opportunity.

A great thread dear 😛
I will share which I read from the book 😛
According Guru Dron's plan Arjun will be called to war on the north direction so Lord Krishna & Arjun leaves as it was war rule 😳
Then Guru Dron assembles his team in Chakraviyug😭 Seeing this Yudhishtir asks help from Abimanyu. .. Abimanyu says that he only knows to break Chakraviyug but not to come out... Yudhishtir says Abimanyu to break the Chakraviyug & let them all in then the 4 panda vas will manage ...
The great Abimanyu goes to battle & brokes the Chakraviyug , when the 4 Pandavas try to follow them they are stopped by Jayathradan. .. 😭
The great warrior Abimanyu goes alone and kills millions if soldiers then all Duryidhan his brothers and some others around him ... first they hit Abimanyu on head with a wheel ... In tired & pain he faints ... using this the Kauravas 7 of them kill the innocent great soul ...

Note - That day Jayathradan could stop the pandavas that day as Lord Shiva gave Jayathradan a wish that 1 day he could control Pandavas...

I tried my best to help 😳
