but that epic is indian how come other country"s texts more ancient than india's and india's relation with south-east asia started in buddha's time and cultural connection strengthened from mauryan period and later few indian prince went there and established kingdom

In indo mb, gandhari was in love with pandu and didnt want to marry dhrit.
So she was extremely jealous and tried killing kunti when she was pregnant.
It was gandhari who poisoned her sons mind since childhood and accidently killed someone thinking of her as kunti and bathed in thar persons blood.
Also arjuna,yudhi,bheem were pandus biological sons and the gods were spirit fathers.And kunti was a disciple of durvasa who was the biological father of karna.
Arjunas given name was permadi.

Jhum di some indonesian narratives are of 4th century with some more added in the 11th century.
Unlike like the original indian thing it has not been edited and added since then that many times.

Then to add to overall confusion, some variations in North India add the story of Barbareek/Khatu Shyam. Its like a maze within a maze...
