Arjuna fell in love with many women in his really looong life. Subhadra, Ulupi, Chitrangada. All were his wives and Subhadra was his favorite one.
But Arjuna-Draupadi relationship was on higher frequency, a divine plane. After all, Draupadi was a Krishna too.
Draupadi with Rukmani was a reincarnations of Godess Lakshmi, Draupadi being the embodiment of the very aspect of the Godesses fiery, viciously fierce personality.
This is why Krishna-Draupadi-Arjuna shared such a deep special bond, the three Krishnas have been eternally together for eons and eons, the Reincarnation of Nara-Narayana-Lakshmi.
You would be confused so many times as to which Krishna they are referring in different places in Mahabharata, they could be talking about any of the three but you would be able to tell.
Not to mention, Draupadi was born to marry Arjuna and she stayed with him till the end of time, she was by his side in their happy prosperous days and their saddest days, till their last journey to attain "moksha" or to reunite with Krishna again as Krishna had already left earth some time prior to the Pandavas last journey.
Draupadi was THE Queen of the Pandavas. None of them could marry another woman without the permission of their "Patthrani".
Arjuna lived for a century and more, there wasnt even that much romance in the later days of his life but Draupadi was still there.
When they were exiled, only the eldest Queen was with them.
When Arjuna married Subhadra ( after abducting her on the orders of Krishna) and brought her to the Palace, Arjuna went to see Draupadi first but she would not even look at him, she taunted him and asked him to go away and spend his time with his new wife." She was that righteous and strong.She didnt look upset, she was the very embodiment of a women's anger.
Subhdra, being the good little sister she is, did what she was adviced by Krishna and Fell at Draupadis feet, " Please accept me, I am your mere servant for the rest of my life."
To this Draupadi held Subhadra, made her stand, wiping Subhadras tears and forgetting her anger, smiled at Subhadra. In my grandmas words Draupadi smiled mischievously at Subhadra and said " Pagli, tum kyu aasu baha rahi ho, mera krodh tumpar bilkul bhi nahi hai, Meri Priye Sakha ki bahen to meri hi bahen hai. Tum Dwarka me bhi ek Krishna ki bahen thi aur Indraprasta me bhi ek Krishna ki bahen barnar hi rahogi.Mera krodh to mere pati se hai jo wahi shaant karenge ab"😆
None of the wives except the Queen, were allowed to enter the Main Palace of the Pandavas. And Draupadi only let Subhadra enter the Main Palace.
There was a separate quarter 'Kaksha' for the three Krishnas in which no one else but the first two wives(who were not even there that often)of Krishna Vaasudeva could enter.😆
