loved the discourse of Krishna on futility of fear.

quite a different projection of dhritarashtra - focussing on his abilities than his blindness. its appreciable, but when are they going to disclose his blindness?

no satyavati today?? is her part over??

Let alone focusing on his blindness - even mentioning his blindness seems to be a big no-no so far!! How will they ever handle things in the future???

Or is the audience supposed to actually find out about Dhritarashtra's blindness, only when Gandhari comes to know about it?

Of course, those who do know the story are completely aware of his blindness. But since this version of MB is being made for the 'younger generation'...

Re Satyavati, the story took leap of 25 years yesterday...in this version, is she still alive at the stage?

They are keeping dhrithrashtra's blindness as a twist or more of a OMG moment for viewers who dont know.Waise i think there would be hardly anyone who wouldnt know this.But just trying to make things intresting for viewers who actually dont know.They will show him as a strong and feirce warrior people who dont knwo will be wondering what's wrong with him and then they will reveal depsite being so good he is blind.Just trying to make things intresting

Shani, after the death of Pandu, Satyavati went into vanvas w/ Ambalika & Ambika. But I doubt they'll show that here, given how they have saas-bahufied their relationship 😆

Subal & his wife are awareof Dhritarashtra's blindness. That's why they took Pandu's name &potested for Dhritarashtra. May be Gandhari is unaware of this fact. In the precap, Subala said, he has put his daughter's future in blindness, to save his people.

Okay, just watched the episode now. It was... meh!

Bheeshma's arrival @ Gandhara w/ a huge army was overdramatized. In reality, Bheeshma just made a low key visit to Gandhara and proposed Dhritarashtra's name for Gandhari. Subala was reluctant at first, but agreed in order to get Hastinapur as an ally. Therefore, as substance of this episode goes, it was more or less accurate, which is remarkable for this serial.

We also got to see the real Gandhari b4 the blindfold, so this moment was probably worth cherishing from an actor appreciation standpoint.

I don't see the point of highlighting Dhritarashtra's strength - if he was everything that they're gonna show, he'd have been a better ruler than he was. Given that they are rushing the serial, they really needn't have shown all that stuff today. In fact, if they want to highlight Shakuni's grievances in this serial, what better than to have first shown Pandu being crowned, and then Bheeshma approaching Subala for Dhritarashtra. Also, they are almost doing another KMHK by showing Bheeshma as a fan of Dhritarashtra.

Anyway, I hope to see posted pics of the episodes since Friday in the pictures thread. Anybody?

i think the serial might take a slower pace.. but somehow i loved the fast pace of the first week.
bhishma [ sorry dont know the actors name] is slowly but surely getting into his character.
SRJ no words needed awesome inspite of the fact that he is being bashed for overacting by certain fan following of a different kind.
Drith well looks good and does not look blind lolz.

For me the main point is all the women are given full screen space and their characters given importance, all women had a great role and it is being shown well.
Hope we get to see Shakuni's point of view in MB,,,,,

We may get to see his pov justified too. Regarding the pace, a week before this show started, they were ready with 25 epi. & next 35 needing the finishing touch. We are seeing already shot, edited epi. I doubt there will be any change in them
