I can understand this. Many vows were taken before and after Devavrata.
But there's just one 'Bheeshm' :)

I must say this...I am really missing some of the sweet moments of the old Mahabharat in the current version.
I don't mean to compare, but BR Mahabharat has some lovely casual conversations. For eg...
Arjun rushing to Bheeshma saying 'taat shri' and Bheeshma sweetly explaining to him 'main tumhare taat ka taat hoon, main tumhara pitamah hoon'. Even I have commited such mistakes in childhood...I used to call my grandmother 'bhabhi' because my grandfather's brothers used to call her that. 😆 and I was corrected. Nice natural scene.
The first glimpse of Krishna-Arjun friendship...when Arjun is relaxing, Krishna wakes him up and explains about Subhadra's swayamvar...Arjun says 'yeh bhavan aapka, yes sansaar aapka, main aapka'...(forgot the rest), but how nicely it was shown! very well acted by Nitish Bhardwaj and Feroz Khan.
When Arjun returns after Draupadi swayamvar, he tries to walk in and Bhishma says 'gale nahi lagoge putr'...and Arjun goes 🤗
I love BR Mahabharat for showing us such nice things in the middle of all the complications. Whether all this was there in Vyasa's mahabharat is unknown. but if they wanted to include their own ideas into it, they added nice things.
But now...it's all about the negative aspects...

The current version is for today's generation who are more acceptable towards negativity in people and situations.
Both MB's were good for their time
If old MB would have released now it wouldnt have worked sicne these days people like things to be dramatized more same goes for this MB if it would have relased in earlier times it wouldnt have worked
So both MB's were good for their own times. That is how i see it

the magic of film is that once captured you can watch it numerous times. so for me the old mahabharat is not a closed chapter whenever I feel like watching it I can watch it...

I dont want to compare the new one... because the new one for me is a completely different format..itsv a daily telecasted series..so they will defintely be differences..

evn the actual mahabharat text has many versions...the one by vyasa is most famous but there are other versions naa..

I take the new mahabhart as a different version..

its like two sides of the same coin..

the only version i dont like is ekta kapoor's 🤢 it was fashion show not mahabharat🤢

Recently I read some reviews of Kekta's Mahabharat. All were filled with negativity 😆

It was closed midway na 😆

The actors chosen..my goodness!
People who marry five times in other soaps, how can they be accepted as Mahabharat's characters?
