Manan, I seriously doubt the authenticity of Yuyutsu committing suicide, because whether he succeeded the Pandavas or not, suicide was a very very heinous crime back then. And Yuyutsu would have surely known its consequences. So please check your source again.

In Gujarati Wikipedia of Yuyutsu...There is clearly written that he was very great warrior & he told every secrets of Kauravas to Pandavas

But he was Vaishya son so always insulted by Kauravs ...He was only son of Dhrit who was religious & that's why he fought from side of Pandava.

but after war ...Bhima always insulted him...so Yudhishthira gave him Indraprashtha.

But in his mind he thought that after becoming so religious & good man...still he got nothing only insult so he can't live & done suicide 😲😲😲

In Wiki sites anyone can edit anything they want. So can not be trusted unless it is supported by authentic versions. This part about Yuyutsu should be mentioned in other texts too. Since it isn't so can not be trusted.
Even Vidur was a dasi putra, yet he was respected by all. So Bheem insulting Yuyutsu because he was a dasi's son is quite doubtful.

Right, especially when he went out of the way to help pandavs against his own brothers. Yudhisthir gave the entire Indraprasth to him shows that they regarded him highly and respected him and loved him the most. They must feel gratful to him to have done so.

Besides, it was not Pandav brothers nature to regard anyone beneath them. They respected everyone so why wouldn't they respect someone who had helped them.

I mentioned what's written about Yuyutsu in this thread yuyutsu - Sukhda's son, so won't repeat that here. He didn't become king of Indraprastha - it's more likely that he'd have been given Hastinapur, and also, there is nothing written about his death. Notably, there is nothing about either him nor Kripacharya during either Parikshit's or Janamejaya's reign.

Okay, from the WU from today, Drona promises Ashwatthama Panchala. Now, it's known that Drona annexed Northern Panchala from Drupada, but did either he or Ashwatthama rule it? Or did the CVs just make this up?

Incidentally, while what Ashwatthama did after the war was heinous, and he did have a tinge of jealousy against Arjun, he'd always side w/ his father or uncle whenever they scolded the Kauravas for accusing them of partiality towards the Pandavas. There wasn't the blind hatred of the Pandavas until after the killing of Drona.

Vrish, as far as panchala is concerned, Drona gives it back to Draupada (magnanimously ?🤔) .. I think the decision is taken because of Arjun... I very faintly remember reading that Arjun actually has something to do with Drona giving Drapada back his kingdom..
So neither Ashvathama nor Drona rule panchala..more fuel to Ashvathama.. But totally agree. Ashvathama. Never actually went against his father..

When Duryodhan asked Ashwathhama about the Gem on his forehead, he answered, it's because of my past birth's punyas. The Yogis who are at a higher level too has a bright part in their 3rd eye position. It's a result of their meditation. Their mind is much purer then others.
It's not possible to have greed, dissatisfaction of materialistic things in such Yogis. Ashwathhama should be one such soul. His Brhmateja should be able to stop him from doing wrong deeds. The contradiction shown about his character is not convincing.

If he is such a great soul then why he killed 5 sons of Draupadi after war in night when they were sleeping??

This is called injustice & out of rules of religious part & rules of war.Isn't it?

That's why Krishna cursed him.

Please clear this point

^^ What I've mentioned is based on what is shown now in the show, not what he did later on.
His Brhmateja should have stopped him from doing wrong. Yet he made the mistake of burning Draupadi's sons alive. That's why the Gem indicative of his Brhmatej was removed. This means he lost most of his punyas & was cursed to live without it for a very long time.
This shows a pious person, in wrong company can get carried away & make big mistake making him loose everything, he's earned in his various births.

Edited. This makes more sense. His Gem used to protect him from the fear of Snakes etc. His getting carried away to do anything for his friend Duryodhan made himloose his protection.

Ashwatthama had a gem which was similar to Shamantakamani on his forehead which used to protect the wearer from fear of any snakes, ghosts, demigods and demons. So, Ashwatthama was asked to surrender this gem.
