Good question when you ask when Yamaraj had been born as Vidura how he could appear to Yudhistira in enchanted lake?

I can only make some theories in this case. I will start my answer with a question. Is there any instance when Agni or Vayu were never cursed. There could be some instance when Agni or Vayu could be cursed. Yet there is no moment when we could have no fire or wind. This means even as original AgniDeva or VayuDeva are cursed someone who is assistant of each of them could be deputed as AgniDeva or VayuDeva. And of course, this gives the answer because there needs one YamaDeva every moment because the absence of YamaDeva on any moment has not stopped the function done by Yama which is continuous and never stops. Therefore when original Yama is cursed, his assistant is made Yama which is just my own theory.

Interestingly when Indra went into hiding in Manasa Sarovar lake after being shamed by killing Vritra, Nahusha became Indra. Is it this way someone was made Yama at that time?

Yes...I have also heard this theory for Purana.

How can someone live till 1000 years??

Some says...Indra is name of status not nameof person so after leaving of 1 person new Indra will come.

Not only Indra for any another Rishis,Devas...also Please some one discuss more on this topic as it is more interesting

@maha2us Nice Theory, although I have a different one. By the devas, we refer to those beings who control the forces of nature. Correct? SO, we technically cannot bind them with curses, same as we cannot bind the nature. SO, when Mandavya Munivar cursed Yama, Yama had to accept, but that doesn't mean he himself has to take incarnation. The curse was that since Yama had done an injustice, he had to suffer injustice himself. It did not refer to his whole being as being stipulated to human birth (as per my knowledge). So Yama would have taken an amsavatara ie. a mere essence of his powers would have incarnated as Vidura, not the whole. You getting me? @Vrish, hope you too getting me.😊

Actually, for each and every Manvantara there is an Indra. I think we discussed this in the DKDM Doubts Thread 1. Let me check it and get back to you.

The shape is more or less similar, but much of Gujarat - the Kutch area - was actually part of the sea. Today, it's swampland, but at that time, it was a part of the ocean.

Incidentally, the map they show in the serial is completely worthless.

What is name of Dasi mother of Vidur?

Sukta dasi of Gandhari is mother of Yuyutsu??They have not shown his birth.

When will Satyawati die?? 30 Episodes are completed she is still in the show..!!

And i read that she would go in forest with Ambika-Ambalika.Is this right?😊

Yeah, she retires with A and A, but that happens before the birth of the Pandavas or any thing, I think just after the marriage of Pandu and Madri.

In the original, Yuyutsu's mom is unnamed and a vaishya. The serial is crazy.

Satyavati, Ambalika & Ambika retired to the forests after the death of Pandu, on the advice of Vyasa, who didn't wish them to be distraught over the impeding conflict b/w the Pandavas & the Kauravas.
