I read that Subhadra, sister of Krishna and Balram, was an incarnation or a form of Durga? The daughter born from Rohini, was exchanged by Vasudev, Kansas tried to kill her but she appeared as Ma Durga? Are they the same person?
The only indication from the old tv serial was when Subhadra produced a knife in fury on Arjuna( whom she failed to recognise in disguise )as he spoke ill of his own self.

MUST READ.. Logical explanation of Pandavas' birth:
Can Gods really be fathers of mortals? No hope! So, who are the fathers of the Pandavas? Why were they called God-sons? In this article we will venture into those queries. But before that we must keep in mind some points about Vyasa.

1) He plays a dual role - a historic role which includes his role as a historic figure and also a myth-maker, and above all the role of a Kavi' - Kavayo Viduh!'

2) Not a single character mentioned in the epic is without a purpose, or without any link to the central characters.

3) The text' is a network of characters and events, each reflecting others and each existing being reflected by others, like Indra's Net'.

The Pandavas are never for once curious about their fathers! They never for once claim themselves as sons of God. Even Kunti, while turning down Pandu's request for more sons, counts her previous encounters as those with men'. The Pandavas knew who their actual fathers were! They also knew the purpose why the story of their mythical origin was circulated by certain Rishis! The Kauravas too were no buyer of God-father' story. Duryodhana was clearly cynical - (SECTION LXIof UDYOGA PARVA) - "if Agni, or Vayu, or Dharma, or Indra, or the Aswins had ever engaged themselves in works from worldly desire, then the sons of Pritha could never have fallen into distress."

How did the story come to be circulated in Hastinapura?

(Pls continue reading in the link above)

That article is scary...

No, that was not Durga, it was Yogamaya. And it was not Subhadra either. Subhadra was born after Kansa's death, when Vasudev was released from prison, & had a daughter from Rohini.

Durga and Yogamaya are the same. Remember Vishnu telling Yogamaya that she will be called as Durga, Vaishnavi, Bhadrakali, etc in the future?
Subhadra - so she is twelves to fourteen years younger to Krishna?

I have a question regarding Kunti's boon.

Was there any limit to the number of times Kunti could use that mantra? I don't recall reading about it. When Pandu asked her to have a 4th son, she refused, but couldn't she have either gotten another son from Surya (in addition to Karna), or alternately, invoked Vayu or Indra again? That way, she'd still have had babies from just 4 males, and no more.

Question about Madri - once Kunti taught her the mantra, why would she need to teach it again? Madri, after the Ashwins, could have invoked the same devas that Kunti invoked - maybe Surya, Indra & Vayu? Or Agni? Once Kunti taught her the mantra, why would she need Kunti to teach her again?

I was just thinking - Kunti & Madri b/w them too could have had 100 sons had they just kept recalling the same devas 😆

I think the trick was that each god could be called only once. Or maybe Durvasa told so so that Kunti wouldn't do such a thing.😆 Can Durvasa trick her like that?😛

This article spoke my mind!!. I've always felt that a lot of miraculous incidents in MB actually had a hidden reference to some real and believable incident. There ought to be some logical explanations abt such unnatural events. But over thousands of years these 'real' incidents have been modified infinite times and they became over-exaggerated and loaded with unbelievable myths and legends.
The birth of pandavas through Gods has always seemed unrealistic to me and I too had a doubt (as mentioned in the article) that it could be a highly exaggerated hoax abt an otherwise natural birth through human fathers.
I also always had suspicions abt Durvasa's behavior towards Kunti. It is probable that Vyas had referred to him as the Sun God due to his fiery nature, so it is possible that he had exploited the young Kunti, fathered Karn and all the story abt mantra and invoking Gods might have been conjured up by Vyas later on to save her and Pandu's reputation. Same could be a possible reason for referring to Pandavas father's as Gods who actually might have been real men.
Even Gandhari's prolonged pregnancy might be explained as "foetus kept under incubation" and birth of kauravs in pots might refer to test tube babies!
well we can never know what actuall6y had happened🤔. I guess skeptics like me are always trying to find logical explanations abt each and every thing on this planet 😆.

During Arjun's exile from Indraprastha and his companionship of Krishna, they once came to the place where Rama built his setu to Lanka, and Arjun was curious as to why Rama didn't build it w/ arrows 😆 Hanuman appeared there in disguise & told him that it would have easily disintegrated. Arjun retorted that Shri Rama had greater arrows than him, but that even he could bridge the 2 shores. Long story short - at the end, Hanuman agreed to adorn Arjun's banner in war & protect his chariot.

During the Pandava exile, while Bhima was on his way to get a certain type of flower for Draupadi, Hanuman lay in his way, and the 2 had an encounter. Hanuman promised Bhima to magnify his battle cries 100 fold or so.
