As far as I know, Vichitravirya was having some disease or he was very weak or something.. and yes, he was drunk.. but he didn't even leave the palace...I am not sure about the Prishata story...

Pure un-adulterated fiction. Prashasth, the father of Drupada himslef was dethroned for a while and was re instated only with Bhishma / Shantanu's help. It is unthinkable that Prashath or Drupada would behave with Bhishma in the manner shown y'dayAnyway we are not sure which panchal king is this- Prashasth or his son Drupada?

Actually, it was Bhishma who didn't give enough respect I thnk. He used to call her, "Daseyi" or something.. Daseyi means daughter of a Dasa (servant).
