Seeing Madhu was going to blast him . He quickly said
"I can explain ! "
" U better have a damn good reason for making me wait for this long. " Madhu warned him
" I do have " RK said
"Fine first come inside " Madhu opened the door for him and walked off with RK following her .
"Arree..Rishu .it's been a long time since u came home " Padmini said surprised and happy by his sudden visit.
"Hello Sweetheart how's u " RK came forward and gave her a warm hug followed by a kiss on her cheek.
" uff.. badmash " padmini slightly slapped him on his cheek while RK chuckled.
" Anyways u asked how come i,m here. i,m here as me and chubs are dance partners for our upcoming annual music function. so, we are going to practice every day from now on till function " RK explained her with a small smile. RK was always kind of a bit close to Madhu's mother. Afterall she is so lovely and full of life as well as quite cheerful . So unlike madhu. Madhu is just a quite person. Always busy with her books & dance
"Ahh..that's nice " padmini replied smiling.
Madhu who was a silent spectator to their convo suddenly
"Ahem Ahem ..can i have a little attention ? Mama u go & watch your serial while we'll go to my room" Madhu said wanting to disperse her mother who was showing so much love on RK especially when she was hell frustrated with his attitude.
"Shall We " asked madhu raising her eyebrow
"After you " RK mouthed to her slyly smirking
Reaching her room madhu closed the door
"So , would you care to explain ? " madhu asked straightforwardly
"Don't give that Smile ! I,m not gonna forgive u this time without a good reason" Madhu stated clearly glaring at him
"Well after i reached home i was so tired that i went straight to my room & switched off my phone , then i slept off and after i woke up i ... " RK started off telling his all day routine.
"Give me a damn reason. Stop eating around bush " Madhu cut him off and said pissed.
"Well I was telling that only if u listened it carefully " RK rolled his eyes at her
"fine !Continue .." Madhu said feeling flustered
"As i said i switched off my phone before going to bed so maybe when u called me to give me a wake up alarm , my phone would have been switched off at that time reason i didn't attend your calls. ! after i woke up .mom told me u called her , i checked the time & realized i was quite late " RKsaid cheekily grinning at her
"hmm..why u switched off your phone ? " Madhu asked the exact point which RK wanted to avoid .
He just shrugged
"What?!" Madhu shrugged her shoulders imitating RK asking him to tell her the reason !
" U know madhu ! " Rk replied irked as he looked away."u should know it then ! Com'mon you're my Bestie " RK said frustrated
" Well then .. is it Deepali again ? " Madhu asked carefully as RK was already frustrated
"Obviously !" RK replied with anger enveloping him again at the mention of Deepali
"U know what RK . U may mind it but let me say it ..U R yourself confused " Madhu said in a calm manner
" what do u mean ? RK replied thoroughly confused
Seeing his cute confused expressions Madhu fell for him all over again !
"One should never start a relation with a person u don't love " Madhu explained sitting on her bed .
When Rk thinked deeply on it He looked at her
when madhu continued it
"Look what i,m saying is if you are in a relationship with her , u should bother about her a little more than your friends. She is your girlfriend for god's sake !! Madhu replied exasperatedly
"It's not just about friends chubs . It's about my bestfriend ! My only bestfriend " RKtried to make her understand his point
"And your bestfriend is a girl ! When you tend to give too much of attention.to your girl Bestfriend then obviously any girlfriend would be insecure . You are just not understanding Deepali's point of view. " Madhu explained him more calmly
"And you are not understanding my point of view " RK said irritated at himself
"Everytime chubs Every DAMN time , whenever we make some plans for ourselves she just eats my ear off with her nonsense , I took it Once Twice Thrice but damn if i,m gonna let her talk like that about u every time .." RK saidgetting angry at thinking how when he reached home Deepali had called him and asked him to back out from music Annual function . And when RK asked the reason she simplysaid that she is his girlfriend and she can't see him dance with anyone like that And when Rk started arguing that he wasn't going to dance with just any girl It was going to be Madhu.The argumentgot more heated & in her anger Deepali said things about madhu .After hearing it he had felt so disgusted about her that he had just switch off his phones and had gone to bed.
The last coherent thought which occurred to him before sleep took over him was that He was not going to be with her anymore
" So what are u gonna do now ? I suggest that u make her understand that every person has his/her own value in your life .Just like i can't be in her place likewise she can't be in my place.That's it " Madhu said making it sound simple thing
"Really ? But then I suggest that i should just part my ways. " RK said smirking
Madhu gaped at him
After a minute or so she broke out of daze
"U mean... Breakup?? " Madhu said still shocked that RK could brake his relation with a girl whom he had a crush on since they were in 10th standard. For what?? For Her ? Just For her? seriously ?
"Yeah " RK replied shrugging as he sat on her bed next to her .
"But then , u always used to say that u can never stay single ? Are u going to find a girlfriend ?? nooo pleaseee.. u would make me run behind" Madhu Replied worriedly thinking that RK would ask her to help him .He always use to do that whenever he used to find any girl appealing he use to eat her brains with his 'Help me chubs.. what are friends for .if u won't help me who will ? ' types of lectures . But this time .she can't do so. Before she wasn't aware of her feelings just that she use to feel jealous but still used to help him for their friendship's sake. But now ..? No she can't do that. She imagined herself convincing a girl to be with RK then Rk in bed with that girl .Madhu shuddered at her own Imagination . Sighing looking at RK she found mischievousness in his eyes . Madhu frowned .Definitely something that would trouble madhu was was going on in his head.
"What?! " Madhu asks in a low dangerous tone Warning him to throw whatever thought he has in his mind in the dustbin !
"U will not have to run behind any girl this time" RK said smiling ever so sweetly at Madhu.
"RK "Madhu said trying to decipher the meaning of what he was saying
"Come to the Point." Madhu said gritting her teeth
"Sweetheart . My darling . My Madhu .. " RK said each word with a distinct pause still sweetly smiling at her.
Madhu was shocked beyond anything .Madhu ??? When the hell did he ever called her Madhu.? In their fights too he always used to call her Chubs. Then Madhu ? How?? and did he just said My Madhu????? What the Hell does that mean?????
"why don't we two get in a relation with each other" Madhu'seyespopped out of her socket . Has he gone mad ?
Madhu gaped at him as her mouth formed an * O * Shape.
"U know friends with benefits." Saying that he Winked at her while she continued to gape at him
