Part one.
Whew. That was amazing. Simply amazing.
My heart was going through so many emotions and my head was just all over the place with questions and thoughts.
My heart started breaking right from the beginning when I realized Madhu was a cashier. This told me right off that Madhu must have left her home and was trying to take care of herself and child (I was not expecting twins!)
Then the mention of her second job.
Poor Madhu. She did not have her parents, did not finish her education and was alone.
Then enter RK. You set his character perfectly from that scene. And I just hated him. For a tiny second I had hope he was just another buyer but then the hammer drops and - yes sadly RK is the one who got Madhu pregnant and then ran away.
But Madhu was brilliant here. Yes she was shocked, disturbed, emotional but when necessary, Madhu was strong and determined. I just loved her here.
From calling security to kneeing him, I just wanted to hug this girl.
The chawl. Again this scene also showed the kind of life RK is used to and what he (unintentionally) subjected his children to.
I found it interesting that in RK's first interaction with his son, RK felt nothing. I don't mean a 'connection' but I mean, wouldn't any human being feel sad for a child in that situation?
RK only felt emotion when he realized the child was his.
What kind of person is this man? Oh yeah, selfish. I forgot.
The scene with RK and Madhu was emotional! So many feelings from Madhu and from RK.
So RK's parents told him to leave town. They went ahead with the marriage preparations knowing they were going to have their son abandon Madhu? That is disgusting. I am loathing those ppl.
Basically they were telling their son that what he did was fine and he can have sex with anyone. Parents of the year? disgusting.
And RK's friends tell him Madhu is a gold digger. He admits he knows they were wrong but that still did not stop him from leaving her.
Am i supposed to feel sorry for RK? Not happening yet Lazy.
I understand he did not know Madhu was pregnant but that does not excuse his behaviour and it cannot erase everything Madhu has been through.
I am sure Madhu has had to deal with her share of insults for being an unwed mother.
I am proud of the way Madhu dealt with RK. I wanted to throw the man out of the house! How dare he propose! Like Madhu should be grateful. I'd knee him again! Harder.
And by the way, brilliant writing!
