She took one more step back in horror but suddenly stumbled on her back foot. "Madhu!" RK immediately held her in his arms, "What happened Madhu? Are you alright?" Her eyes were constantly stuck at Rohan in affright- who was having a mischievous smirk on his face. Even her bumble couldn't change that expression- as if he knew what was coming to her! RK again asked worriedly, "Madhu, what has happened? Are you fine?" Madhu turned up to RK and then realised the recent happening. She straightened herself, while clutching his shirt tightly in the deep fear, still trembling her mind. RK gently settled her hair in concern. "I... I am... I am OK, RK! I just..." Rohan interrupted, "I guess Mr Kundra... Madhubala Ji didn't... like our meeting!! Am I right... Mrs... Kundra?" RK didn't like his way of talking but at the moment, he was least bothered to react to him; his main concern was his Biwi. His voice was enough to shiver her already fearful mind. His evil smile was was both threatening and disgusting her. She glared at him and replied back to RK while her eyes still at Rohan, "There is nothing like that, RK!!!" She looked up at RK with a faint smile, "I am alright. Woh... Actually... I am... I am not feeling well since morning. Little weakness is there so... my... my head spinned and I... I am fine now, RK! Don't worry!" Her mere stuttering words soothed his pounding heart and he finally sighed in relief, "You scared me, Madhu!" Madhu gently caressed his chest with a bleak smile, "I am fine RK! Relax!" "Have some water... Madhubalaji!" That voice again blew away that flimsy smile from her face. Though her soul was shaking from inside but still she managed to stand firmly in front of her past. "Thanks... But I don't need it!" Rohan again smirked back slightly that was enough to pinch her deeply but she chose to ignore. "RK, I... I need to go back home. Please!" That means a call off to the meeting today! RK looked at Rohan with convincing eyes. "Oh! No problem Mr Kundra. We can have the meeting some other day also... When... Mrs Kundra... is hale and fine!!" replied Rohan. "NO!" interrupted Madhu. "I mean... You carry on the meeting, RK. I will go by myself." "No Madhu. I will come with you. How can you drive in this condition?" snapped RK. "RK please... I am alright now. Let me go and you attend the meeting." After a brief unconvincing gaze, RK caressed her face in concern, "Are you sure?" "Don't worry RK! Ill be fine. I will call you once I reach home. OK! And yes... I'll send back the car too. Bye." She took the car keys and left without giving a single glance to the other person present there. "Both of you care a lot for each other, Mr Kundra!" said Rohan. "Well... This is what a marriage teaches you. Right? By the way, shall we resume our discussion, Mr Ahuja?" And they both went back to their business discourse.

Madhu walked in the Mansion, completely lost in her troubling thoughts, lifelessly. It's been an hour passed since that tragedy happened to her, the terror still persisted on her pale face. Even now, she was struggling to have one normal breath. Life has taken a big turn within an hour. She blankly walked towards the upstairs when Radha's caring voice broke her horrified spell. "Madhu!" She turned to face Radha, trying to calm down her expression. "You came so early Beta!! Did meeting get over so early? Where is Rishu then?" The word "meeting" again terrified her. She stuttered, "Woh... Actually... Ammm... No! Wo... Maa, meeting is still going on. It's just... I... Yes... I... wasn't feeling well there so I... I came back. RK is still in the office." "Not well...?! Madhu, what happened Beta? Do you have fever?" She worriedly checked her forehead. "Maa! Don't worry I am fine. I will be better after some rest." "Oh! I forgot to tell you Madhu, Padminiji had called. She wanted to talk to you." "I'll call her later Maa. I am little tired now. Can I go?" Madhu hesitantly turned to leave when Radha again stopped her, "I'll send Sara to your room within minutes. Spend some time wih her, you'll feel better, Beta!" Madhu nodded and hurriedly went up to her room.

The moment she stepped in, Madhu quickly shut the door and rested her back on it. She had started panting in fear. Finally, the fright inside her, which she was suppressing since hours, started to come out slowly in solitude. All the moments came in front of her frame by frame- her encounter with Rohan, his voice, his smirk, and his wicked eyes. All this again shook her deeply from within. She clenched her hair in dismay and rushed near her bedroom. Fearful droplets started sliding down through her pale eyes. "This... This can't happen... can't happen to me!!! NO!!!" She ran her palm in her hair in frustration and apall. She looked around and saw the water jug near the lamp side. Her actions were not in her control today- her hand were trembling severely, legs shaking and her lips quivering- all in deep fear and disgust. With the same vibrating hands, she tried to pour some water in glass but still some of it spilled out on the table. Madhu quickly gulped in the entire glass. But still, it didn't soothe her pouncing heart. At last, she ran inside the bathroom and opened the shower valve. Madhu closed her eyes and let the water sprinkles to flow down through her body and soul... After a brief moment, she slowly opened her lashes and recalled all her past memories with Rohan ... everything flashed like a movie... which was once a beautiful chapter, today has become a dreadful rim of pages in her life!! The water of her eyes to got mixed with the shower. As the water was dripping down from her body, she was tending to lose her command over her emotions... And finally, she fell down on her knees and cried... cried aloud... cried her heart out... as much as she wanted!!! All she could blurt out was just a question that has already stuck to her life since long- WHY??? And the biggest irony was- she had never got its answer!!! She thumped the floor in defeat and wept.

After few minutes, Madhu came out of the bathroom, wiping herself with the towel; but still drowned in her thoughts. Suddenly, she heard a kiddish chuckle, coming from her bed area. She went there and saw her little angel, sitting on the bed, spreading her legs and her dolls bunch lying in between. Sara looked up at her Mumma and immediately stretched her tiny arms towards her with a huge angelic smile with a chortle. The moment she saw her little girl, Madhu ran and picked her up in her arms and hugged her tightly. She again broke into her emotions and cried. "Why Sara? Why always me?" Since her marriage, Sara was the only person with whom Madhu could share her heart purely- as she had no fear that her feelings would get leaked to somebody ever. She embraced her closer and sobbed, "Whenever... Whenever I felt my life getting sorted, something or the other always messed it up!! Why baby?? Why he is so cruel to me??" She faced Sara who was seriously looking at her now. "Why can't your Mumma be happy?? Why Sara... Tell me no... Why???" Though she was small, she could easily understand her Mumma in pain. Till now, Sara's eyes too got moistened seeing her Mumma's eyes in tears. She softly caressed her wet cheeks with her tiddly palms, wiping them unknowingly and gave her a small angelic smile. Seeing her daughter consoling her, Madhu bosomed her in love and wept. Finally, her turmoil left the cages of her heart and came out. After a few minutes of weeping, Madhu realised, "I can't behave like this in front of her!!" She wiped off her face and fronted Sara. "I am so sorry baby! Mumma won't repeat it again. Sara promise!!" to which Sara replied with a soft giggle. Madhu again hugged her back in bleakness.

In early evening, Madhu was busy in pranking with Sara in the balcony when she heard her room's door been banged opened. It was RK. He rushed in with a worried call, "Madhu!!!" She went inside. He quickly held her by her shoulders, "Madhu! Are you still feeling unwell? Hunnn...??" "Relax... Relax RK!! I am fine now!!" "Then why didn't you call me up hunnn??" asked him surprised. "Throughout the meeting, I waited for your call but you didn't even give me a ring!! What is this Madhu??" Madhu gently caressed his arm and spoke, "I am sorry RK! Actually, I completely forgot about it. I reached and slept..." "Height of carelessness Biwi!!!" He ran his hand through his hair in annoyance. "I said I am sorry Baba!! By the way... why so much concern for me so suddenly Mr Kundra... hunnn???" RK looked at her baffled. She caught me!! "Ammm... Wo... Concern is not for you, Biwi... But for the society!! What would they think, that business tycoon Rishabh Kundra don't even care for his Biwi!! Very bad!! It's not good for me no... Biwi!!" He handled with a teasing smirk. Madhu handed Sara to him with a glare and left from there in fume.

Late night, Sara was sleeping soundly, clutching her Papa's index finger in her little palm, close to her belly. Both the father- daughter duo were in their dreamland but one person was far away from a nap even. Madhu was constantly tossing and turning on her bedside in trouble. Her mind was still stuck to the morning encounter. A mixed emotions of fear and revolt were filling up her heart and mind. She suddenly woke up in horror, looking all around the room in darkness. It terrified her more. She fearfully stepped down from the bed and rushed out to the balcony. It's been around twenty minutes passed and she was still struggling with her unease. "Madhu!!" the voice frightened all of a sudden and she turned back horrified. RK walked towards her, "Madhu! What happened? What are you doing here?? It's 1:00 now!!" His sudden appearance baffled Madhu completely. She stammered to reply, "I... RK... Actually... I was feeling scared so I..." "Scared?! Of what Biwi?" he asked caressing her face in concern. She tightly held his palm, "RK... Wo... I... I saw a nighmare!! It was scary!!" RK smiled and gently pampered her head, "Relax Madhu! Don't worry! I am here no!! Bad dreams can never turn into real... And how come my Biwi got scared hunnn?? In fact, she has the calibre to scare even the ghosts!!" chuckled RK. His words saddened her again, "I am not that strong RK!!" "Then make yourself strong Madhu!! Believe in yourself that you can fight with every wrong... And remember one thing always... You are not alone!!" She looked into his eyes and saw them glittering with an unknown hope- what was it for? She didn't know!! She just smiled back in reply. "Shall we go inside now?? It's late!" And he was about to turn back when she called him, "RK!" RK looked at her questionably and with a deep hesitancy, she uttered, "Can I ask you for something?" "Ahh... With authority... Biwi!!" smiled RK. She looked at him in diffidence and spoke, "Can I... get a... hug??" Her words literally amazed him strongly. "Ammm... Wo... Actually... I am scared... So I..." before she could complete, she found herself in a protective tight embrace. Might be, this is what she had wanted since long!!! A flimsy curve quirked over her lips and she immediately engrossed herself in the clinch, closing her eyes. And as she had wanted, she found an unknown solace in those arms- a warmth of care... a guard from all the odds!! After a while, "Feeling better now, Madhu?" asked RK, still hugging her tightly. Madhu just nodded in consent, not in the mood to leave his embrace, and snuggled more in relief. "By the way Biwi!! If you ever feel any fear... Just imagine my face and your fear will flew away, placing annoyance behind!! It's quite tolerable... Right??" Madhu chuckled softly, hearing it, "Pakka!!" and cuddled more into his arms, hiding her face in his chest. RK gently kissed her hair and strengthened his grip simultaneously. They say, the moon light always soothes the restless hearts with its cold white rays. But when a pair of arms surround you in that light too... the comfort becomes unmatchable then!! And who could understand it well than Madhu... that tight clinch has already calmed down her racing heart and... as RK said, fear was gone now... but a feeling of content took its place now...!!
