^^ Remember this just so beautiful scene of Superstar Daddy and his Biwi and Beti... where RK was trying to chup karao his Beti... 😳 šŸ˜† and finally she stopped crying when she saw those posters of stars... 😳

So instead of making it Madhu's dream of her daughter being superstar... they should have shown it's RK dream bcoz it was RK's dream... in that scene itself he said his daughter will be a superstar like him... when she stopped crying seeing BW stars... 😳

And instead of butchering our Rishbala again... they should have shown atleast that flashback of original Rishabala... so that we would have cherised their memories again instead of cribbing and ranting like this... 😵

But anyways what we'll get now by cribbing and ranting... when they already did the blunder... šŸ‘ šŸ˜†

I actually do consider his return as adequately with a bang šŸ˜† 🄳 - albeit in terms of his position vis-a-vis the series rather than its fictional stuff -, especially after the way his exit had been without even a courtesy-mention by the channel.
And from the offscreen POV, rather than for the series or fictional aspect, his return still seems to have been an excellent decision.
Despite an official channel listing *still* naming GU as the male lead (that change and the replacing of VD's name was promptly made with that new entry as hoped-for replacement in the male-lead position, but a vice-versa change has not happened even in the past four months), in actual fact and data the series has had only *one* female lead and *one* male lead as leads-cast.

If VD hadn't returned, the series data would have reflected one female lead actress as primary constant, and two male leads as secondary changing.
By his returning, not *only* the female lead but *also* the male lead *and* the lead pairing remained primary and constant throughout the series.

Tracks really don't matter.
When every consecutive track for 17+ months fold, it's not like anyone will remember them beyond the series except vaguely and memorable for bizarre plots, viewership-lack and track-closure.

As for the mess they are showing as of yesterday,
every track from March 2013 onwards has backfired in what the CVs intended and what the result became,
because the mass-audience which remembers serials and characters for the next 10-15 years have usually the opposite reaction to the online and fandoms audiences.

The CVs seem to tailor their tracks and get overconfident or wary depending on whether they see approving or disapproving reactions online, choosing to disregard the phenomenally regressive and opposite reaction of the offline audience even when the TRP proved it week after week.

And female-lead glamour-career track has a formidable record for closing either tracks or - if the track not closed - the serial itself,
even back when female-leads were often shown as successful career-women in serials - in every career except as actress or model, where the fictional career might succeed but the real track/series would flop.

So if they were going to try to touch again on the female-lead becoming actress in this series, it would have to be with the bare minimum expense for anything to do with her as actress or model on a set.

And they were definitively and clearly not interested in showing VD in any charismatic role, where the expense would have been backed as potentially worthwhile, perhaps on a slightly lesser scale than the village-track (which they wasted trying to expect mass-support for JM playing marriage-repudiating confrontational bahu in a mass-targetted track).

The pity is *not* that they are doing the 'film' track in the last few episodes and with presumably bare-bones expense.
It would prudently be worth neither more time nor more money in the same serial's second attempt, unless they were willing to either splurge and burn their own money with no viewership-advantage, or had some sponsors unaware enough to do so instead.

The pity *is* that they have tried to do - yet again - what they tried and failed in *every* attempt at from March 2013 to January 2014 - trying to downgrade the male-lead, who had so inappropriately dared to remain mass-popular, despite every track trying to make him look either bad or weak so that either the other guy would look more impressive or - later - so that the female lead would get the credit for being more impressive, clever and effective (even if they had to make the male-lead conveniently helpless and idiotic in every attempt to make the other guy or the female lead look more competent).
They ended up making the male-lead increasingly more mass-sympathizable, and the other-guy and even the female-lead getting mass-disapprobation to varying degrees in every consecutive backfiring track.

And this time, they have used a 'flashback' stratagem which has been used umpteen times as 'live-playing' of false story rather than as flashback.

Tracks from 2012, 2013 and start of 2014 - which got better mass-viewership and had a *far* more popular lead-couple characterswise, and would therefore be better *remembered* by mass-audience - were contradicted at length
in clearly false details by the female-lead, making her a posthumous liar who is going to have her daughter and son-in-law honour her deception by making the sort of self-glorifying film which would gloss over how her very career - in origin and length - was not even remotely as she so untruely claimed.

They have turned RK into - even posthumously - mass-sympathizable, betrayed by his beloved wife's false story, and then even more by his daughter's and son-in-law's believing her lies against him and presenting that falsehood to the world.

We actually may have the most 'bechaara' mass-sympathizable male-lead *ever* in two decades of dozens of serials on so many channels (several of those now defunct).
Kudos to the CVs for the achievement.

The CVs haven't succeeded in wrecking RK's characterization even this time - online reaction can usually be considered assuredly and lastingly exactly *opposite*
of mass-audience's reaction, and that too to staggering degree.

But they have wrecked whatever vestiges of mass-popularity had been salvaged among the massive nonfandoms mass-audience for the previous Madhu, so that it can be safely considered to be pretty much at the same level of mass-unappreciable as the current Madhu.

So in terms of backfiringly damaging the female-lead's mass-popularity every time they try - miscalculatingly and unsuccessfully - to downgrade the male-lead's, the CVs stellar trackrecord for the past 17+ months is assured of being secure right to the end of the series.

@Najat, i know story & execution is also imp but an actor can take up work after reading the script or the role, which was non existent in MB..so there, VD was def wrong..he went wrong or it was a miscalculation, whatever his reason was, for coming back, i don't know...many ppl. , including me, predicted that it will misfire and it did...I had better expectation from him, that's it...i like DD also but she was also being a stupid to stick to MB for so long, although i admire her professionalism and fondness for MB...the CV's, channel, killed the show completely...i just hope to see DVD on a better channel with a better PH...Amen !

sorry for replying Leela šŸ˜† but it doesnt matter if online audience and TRP audience have opposite tastes..in MB, after Sultan , no track was properly written and post Ria, every track was weekly or daily..they ended before they cud be developed..there was no proper build up , or execution, like it happen in other serials ..this is the problem with ST also..he is repeating the same mistake in RR , and when i visit RR forum, i see the same complaints like that of MB fans..these guys are too arrogant and they dont know how to make serials..period !

I agree. The team seriously needs to learn how to sustain a daily soap. They should in fact be starting finite serials. They are not capable of making daily soaps.
