[Kudos for explaining it so eloquently! Every reaction of Madhu's is so normal but people are equating them to their dislike of the actor not the character. It seems being a rapist ,albeit who's being portrayed by someone's favorite, makes it acceptable to be a rapist. A woman who has been violated the way Madhu has been will really not be able to focus on a baby as an innocent being because it will be a constant reminder of the most horrific incident of her life. And as an educated woman she may feel that she will not be able to love it the way any child deserves to be loved. Normal people do have normal reactions and why is it always expected of a woman to think of everything and everyone before herself?
the actor is responsible , to an extent, for not being able to portray the trauma of a rape victim and a tormented women...the way she behaves, anyone will think that she is nothing less than Raja..jungli janwar...thats another thing...but i disagree with Madhu's reaction is "normal"..bec. she , as a character in the series never made sense...no girl lies to her parents/grandparents/relatives and work for someone , who she knows , her family will never approve of...not just that, she agrees to marry that person...if she was duped into marrying Raja, so was Raja..how is JM the only victim and Raja is not? she fell in love with him and he loved her...she hid the news of her marriage and pathetic life for a long time and the matters got more and more complicated , before she cud be bailed out...if she is modern, strong and intelligent, she shouldn't have challenged Raja to trouble his family, the same way he was doing it , and went back to his house to get raped...how did she think she cud protect herself from Raja and he will not stoop low when she humiliated him and his family in public and private? ...Raja cud have raped her the first night itself..but he slept on the chair or JM slept on the floor..i hope u remember.. he was drugged so i will not put the entire blame on him...in normal circumstances, he wud have never done it...yes, his character was finished for me when he wasnt apologetic for his deed...that was the dead end of MB for me...still, for argument sake, when he brought her back, he cud have tortured her in the worst possible ways...but all that she was doing was vaccumming, cooking , putting oil in dia etc. etc.
plz dont think that i support Raja...i hate him bec. he cant bloody let her go... i don't want any love story between them..i said it already that i'd like to see only one happy ending that is, Raja and Madhu separated or both dying...
