I am relieved that Madhu is such a strong character and that she knows how to fight back after such a painful betrayal.

Mukund is an idiot and obviously he does not deserve Madhu.

Hey everyone! Sandal neeche please. I know I know, it has been a long time since I updated but I think you can understand what emotional turmoil everyone went through when our baby Madhubala ended. I want you to relive them through these, a small effort. So here is hopefully a LONG chapter.

Chapter 2

"Hello?"

My breath stopped, whatever I was going to say got stuck in my throat.

"Damn..!!" I realized that I haven't spoken anything

"Wait! Sorry! Hi! I thought that the call ended" The owner of that beautiful voice chuckled.

"Hi! I am sorry, I took forever to pick it up"

"No, it's not like that"

"So, Do I know you?"

"No! Actually I called for the room, the Ad you placed" I don't why but I was getting nervous "Is it still available?" I couldn't find my own voice while saying it.

I heard another soft chuckle.

"Yeah! It is! Why don't you come and check it for yourself?"

"I think that's fine. When do want me to come?"

"Anytime, that's preferable by you"

"Will tomorrow do?"

"Yes"

"Okay, I will be there at 5"

"Sure!"

For a moment I do not knew what to say, Some part of me wanted this conversation to last longer.

"Umm.. Okay see you.. !" This was all I could managed

"See you soon, Bye!" I felt my heart fluttering at this, what's wrong? I can't tell, there was something in this man's voice that made me want to hear it again.

Putting the phone back, I took out a red florescent pen, and marked the address again. Finding the shortest route for it from my mobile app, I sat back happily. As if on cue, my phone rang, slightly startling me. Trishna's beautiful face flashed on the screen.

Yeah Trish! What's up!"

"I saw an available room for rent, It is a bit small but good."

"Actually, Trish I am going to see a place tomorrow, have talked with its owner, but if that doesn't works we will see your place. Okay!"

"Yeah, fine. I hope you get it."

"Yeah and I hope it is in my budget too"

"I hope that too. Cheer up girl! You will find an amazing place"

"I wish that too, Okay Byee, see you at college. Muuaah!"

I woke up with birds, unusually more chirpy today. Either it was them or I was very happy today. I quickly took a shower, and dressed up. After finishing combing my tresses I head out to downstairs to see Mamma on the chair reading the Newspaper, and Papa in the kitchen making breakfast, and me standing confused.

"What's happening?"

"See. He lost the game, so he has to cook food for a week." My Mom, said to me with a smile.

Seeing her smile, I broke out into a smile too, shaking my head I was laughing softly.

"I didn't lose, I just simply let her win"

My parents sometimes can be completely crazy, but that's adorable. They are very open minded and fun-loving not the typical parents next door.

"Yeah I know, You LET me Win! As if you could have won.." My mom muttered sarcastically

"O Don't say like that.." And I tuned out their argument. Sometimes they could be very childish. But that was adorable. Smiling to myself, I softly closed the door behind me. Humming a tune to myself I treaded towards the school, hoping to keep my Happy Spirits alive and that I don't face him AGAIN!

I mentally jumped when the final bell rang. It had been a very hectic day, so many Assignments to do plus the exams were round the corner. I had so much to do and then I also had to check out that place.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Amy making out with some Guy. I turned my head away feeling Gross! I quickly stuffed my pens and Notebook inside the Bag and sprang from my seat. Jumping and sprinting on me towards the Exit. I am usually a little Jumpy and excited. No Surprise!

"Hey Madhu! What about the Room you mentioned?" Trish caught up behind me, over excited.

"I am going to see that 4 today!"

"Great! So if you get this area, can we party at the' Hotel Blues' ?" She exclaimed , holding me by my shoulders.

Hmmm, a Party! It would be great. Moreover getting away from that moron is itself a reason to celebrate. I thought with a wide grin forming on my face.

"A Party sounds good "

"Yaay! Then meet you at 6 there"

"Sure"

And with that we took different directions which headed towards our respective homes. In the way, I saw a young couple by the ice cream stall. The girl was happily slurping on her cone and the boy... the boy was watching her intently. The emotion in his eyes screamed LOVE. Seeing them made me feel giddy, a warm feeling enveloped my heart. I realized that I longed to be in that Girl's place, I wanted someone who would look at me like that, like I am his world, his life. Brushing my thoughts I once again glanced at the couple. The girl was laughing on something the boy said in her ear, and then something made her blush. They looked so happy together that it desperately made her wanting to be loved.

But was it possible to find such Love which makes you so happy? My Love life left me bitter about the word Love. I had no such experience to prove it true. But somewhere in my heart something was saying to me that Love will surely happen. Everyone deserved some love, but would my broken heart will be able to trust again?

"You are Home!" My mother's voice brought me back to real world. Amidst my train of thoughts, I didn't realize that I was Home already.

"Oh. Hey Mom"

"What happened, Sweetie?"

"Nothing Mom, I am cool" I desperately tried

"If you think, you could fool your mom, Ms. Malik! Then I must tell you, you are totally wrong!" Mom declared, with her hands on her hips.

"I.. I was just.. After this Mukund fiasco.. a.. I was just thinking if ever I will get true genuine love? I may be strong and happy being single, but something stings seeing those young couples happy together. I feel something hollow in my heart, Mom!" I could feel my eyes gaining moisture.

"Aww.. Madhu.. Don't cry baby. Listen come here" My Mom hugged me, I felt content, secure and homely.

"Listen dear, It happens. That Mukund was a fool to not realize your worth. I still want to strangle him for hurting you, but remember whatever happens, happens for the best! After every dark night there is a new Dawn, so start fresh, be happy and see things in a new positive light. And for god's sake stop crying" She smiled at me, which instantly made me smile. I loved my Mom.

I softly clicked the door of my room shut. Throwing my bag in some corner, I sprawled on the bed, and went back to lost-in-thoughts-mode. I don't know for how much time I was laying there, hugging Mr. Bo, my favorite Teddy bear, but when I broke out of my reverie I realized it was already 4! I need to get ready, today I had to go to see the potential residence.

I quickly jumped off the bed and raced to the Bathroom and splashed some water on my face, the sensation was Amazing, it freshened my spirits! Quickly wiping off, I changed.

Taking a last glance at the mirror, I rushed out only to bump into someone

"Ow!" I looked up rubbing my forehead Dad! This early..?

"Whats' the hurry Madhu, slow down. Where are you running off to, have you finally decided to marry and elope? You could have told me , I am sure we I would have understood." He said with mock hurt expression, his left hand clutching his heart. I tried not to roll my eyes.

"Papa!" But then I decided to play along, with an evil smile

"Yeah! Yeah I know. But what else could I do, you wouldn't want our marriage. So I am just back here to show some decency and invite you both to the reception" The horrified look that crossed his face was absolutely hilarious. I snuffled a giggle threatening to show on my face.

"What?"

"What what Pops? You just had the taste of your own medicine.." I remarked laughing, he grinned. Then lovingly ruffled my hair and went away, totally forgetting the cause of stopping me.

Buckling myself in, I started the engine and with that began my visit to the potential residence.
