Dangers Of Showing A Love Story After This

My views on this issue.

We are in a country were rape is a very serious issue at this time. It is not something to be taken very casually even if its fiction. Let's say Raja was drugged that night. Even though I have never heard of a date rape drug that could make someone rape. They are usually used to make the victim unconscious so she cannot resist the rapist. Even he was drunk or angry if once moral conscious is firm there is no way excess alcohol, anger, or manipulation can make someone do something so heinous that it is against their moral conscious. In order to rape the mentality has to be engraved in your mind first, which Raja proved today after his line, "Jab patni se kiya pyar toh kaisa hua bhalatkar."

Regardless of whether or not Raja is at fault or Bhanu we need to seriously consider the fact that Baby Bala has been traumatized for life. From what I have read or heard from friends' people can never come back the same from such experiences. What is also apparent is that Madhu remembers Raja as the face for this traumatizing experience even if he changes later (as the spoiler suggest) on he can never take what he has done to her back. She has been scarred for life and Raja image is engraved in her mind for it. Showing romance after this would underplay the trauma any rape victim goes through. Rape victims try to stay the furthest away from anything that reminds them of that experience. And any type of romantic connection between Madhu and Raja will down play what a traumatizing experience rape can be. I seriously hope that the CVs would consider how pathetic for a lack of a better term a love story would look after this and what type of message it would actually send to young girls and boys watching the show. Rape is a serious issue and its not something to romanticize or take casually at this point.

CVs either haven't thought through the repercussions of such a track or totally lack sensitivity. If they think a love story will be acceptable between this couple after what happened today then they have completely lost it. Even if we give Raja the benefit of doubt and say he is not the culprit, for a girl it will be impossible to forget this incident. Romance and love will be the last thing on her mind.

Very well said! It's the truth! The CVs are threading a very fine line now. They better handle the situation properly. The chances of someone falling in love with their rapist is pretty much negligible.

Way to serve up that truth tea!

Just the mere images of him throwing her on the bed, the words he uttered before and after the incident like it if I am your huspand so the concept of rape shouldn't exist between us and you don't have a choice, even him threatening her to do it merely because she spoke a few words against him is enough for any self-respecting women to never want to be around him again. How can someone erase that from their memory. I don't think anything else even matters but from what I have heard its impossible for Raja not to be the culprit. There is no drug that can make you rape as you yourself mentioned. A love story for me would be impossible at this point.
I hate everything about the current scenario but Junior Madhu for me has been an interesting character thus far. She has broken the trend in Indian serials that only grey shaded men are acceptable. Though I don't see to many grey shades in her, she has only stood up for her beliefs I still think its a rare character. But I would lose all my respect for her if she were to fall for Raja or even forgive his family after they said it was fine for Raja to rape her.

It is so good to read a voice of reason in the fandom especially today. I have banged my head against many many walls to no use because they all find some stupid way to justify Raja's actions.
I agree whether rape happened or not the attempt did so it is the same thing. Madhu is tramutized by the events and Raja's words from earlier continue to play in her head. He told her he loves her, wouldn't force her yet his actions are completely opposite. It's heartbreaking to see that a fandom that is primarily women who find his actions okay to those who believe Madhu deserved what she got.

Any respect I had for the CVs they lost it today. When this promo came I yelled and no one cared, when he strangled her then slapped her; no one cared. For CVs to use such a topic to make a point is disgusting, especially in a country that is ravaged by violence on women. If Raja did rape her, what Madhu is supposed to forgive him and live happily ever after with her rapist? What message are the CVs trying to send?

I so wish I had Abhinav Shukla's number so I could give him a piece of my mind. As a woman I am appalled and as a fan I'm heart broken because I expected so much better from them.

I know how you feel. Here is some advice, reply to a post once and say what you have to say. Then you will be quoted with ways trying to justify why everything you say is wrong and why what they think is right and then they will also ask you silly questions which any logical person would be able to answer on their own. This is the point that you stop replying. You said what you had to say. If you keep reply you will drive yourself crazy. When someone is so set on an opinion it is like talking to a brick wall.

I honestly don't have it in me anymore today. I am outside of India so I read the WU and from 11:30am my time to now 10pm; I have been going back and forth with 2 women who are justify it all. How Madhu thinking of Raja's sweet words instead of her bleeding etc. She was thinking about the words because his actions contradicted them. May be tomorrow I will take up the fight again.

I really want to find a way to talk to someone in India like Abhinav Shukla, wish I could find the number. Put in my blood and sweat in this show after Rishbala died only to get this in return.

I've fought this fight today already luckily I was not the only one in that post who shared that opinion. Rape is rape in real and reel life. There is no way to make it sweet or romanticize it.
I would say don't bother trying to convince them because you will just get frustrated. It makes no sense.

I wish it was in me to sit silently and let thing happen. I am the hell raise kind. Me and a friend came up with organized the whole campaign that bought VD back and another that got us the one promo we have seen in months. So raise hell I will, they will hear me one way or the other. Fans deserved to be told to their faces that the CVs don't give a shit about fans' emotions.
