Episode 583 Discussion: 26th May 2014, Monday

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? šŸ˜‰. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is
  1. It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter.
  2. We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
  3. It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
  4. And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Note for All posting reviews and thoughts over this EDT

Please read the pointers below for posting on EDT.

Extremist thoughts and moralizing thoughts are not welcome over this thread. This is anentertainment show we are watching. The channel calls their programs as entertainment and we are watching the show. Discussions are welcome in light hearted and in realistic manner. Moral policing is not appreciated. Neither is ranting or bashing actors or makers of the show. Please exercise judgment.

Please heed to this as direct request and conditional requirement to participate in this thread.
  1. Page 1 - post only reviews (which can be one liners - if you wish.) Also, please don't clutter up page 1 with multiple posts - give others a chance to post their reviews.
  2. Many reviewers add an "ETA" to their original post, if they want to make an additional point soon after posting.
  3. Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more and the discussion becomes irrelevant to the topic on hand, please take your conversation with your buddies to chat clubs, pm mode etc.
  4. The thread becomes a mess when you give your review and do not REST for sometime until others have posted. Please understand, respites or reviews; once or twice are good for few pages...don't make a regular chat thread with your reiterating /whining / complaining on the same point. For the online readers, the thread becomes unpleasant read. There is a separate Complaints thread in Main Forum
  5. When episodic content is emotional, take a deep breath, give a good lengthy review; that acts as your vent in one single post...and make an exit to calm down your nerves if you still are possessed by only what you've seen.
  6. Regulate the font size and colors. Keep remembering that. It is really not pleasing to see big bolded letters, or multi-colored font for no special reason.
  7. Quoting Policy: refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis. Pick out the parts that you like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post. IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, and multiple quoting makes it very hard to scroll though.
  8. Feel free to post links of other members posts which had been "delightful read" towards analysis of episodic event/s or character analysis.

Notes:

Cheers,
MAS

Awesome. Drama, suspense and Rajbala moments...
  • Heh heh. So Raja tucks a cute li'l gun into JM's waist ok the kamarbandh. 😳 Wants her to think of him. Nice. Of course, one could draw an entirely different interpretation...😲🤣 but I'm not going there..
  • JM showing up, all dressed up and docile, ready to go to the temple. Hmmm. Poor Raja is so thrilled. But JM's docility doesn't extend to allowing him to hold her and lead her out. šŸ˜†. Raja is not particularly bothered. I like the man's confidence. That he's going to win her over. šŸ‘šŸ¼
  • The temple scene was great. Smoky, colorful, dramatic. Predictably, Raja has to leave his weapons behind at the door.
  • Loved loved the couple doing the puja and aarti together 😳
  • What was interesting was - JM doesn't explicitly pray to be rid of Raja per se - it was more about the guns and violence bit.
  • And then Raja prays that he can protect her.
  • Good ol' Bhanu distracts Raja, his Rani is led away by the hired gun, they walk down the stairs (the only slightly discordanat note was how long it took JM to realize that she was going down an abandoned path, but theek hai, cinematic license and all.
  • I did like that Raja immediately looks for JM, and that when confronted with the gun, JM automatically screams for Raja.
  • And...🄳 Raja comes in..šŸ˜Ž. Has some dashing moves to deal with the villain.
  • Aha! So JM did sneak that little gun in. She gets wounded, the small-time sidekick panics and makes a run for it.
  • Now for the peice de resistance - JM strikes which the iron is hot, and asks a distraught Raja to be freed. šŸ‘šŸ¼

  • The Precap: So Raja wants to leave with her? Whither thou goest etc. Dauji pulls out the usual "I will kill myself if you leave" card. On to tomorrow people!

I loved:
  • 101 uses of a kamarbandh...no 1: husband can get to tie it lovingly, ahem ahem😳..no 101: handy to keep a little ladies revolveršŸ‘. You have to give it to Raja for upping the style quotient.šŸ˜Ž
  • Finally Rani comes on time for a family event, wearing the pallu. Looking very pretty with the kamarbandh intact
  • I loved the pooja sequence, well done. I was lost in the scene where they both walk up together for the pooja. DVD looked fabulous and Raja-Rani like a devout couple.
  • Also liked the small interaction between Agni and Tara..
Was not happy:

I do like a heroine who is not too sanskaari, but it was not nice to make a face when Baaiji said 'yeh Baat'. JM has put up with crap from Leelawati, Abhay Kapoor. This is nothing...

Surprisingly flat scene:
  • The actual shoot out sequence seemed to be hurriedly shot. I could'nt catch too much of the dialogues, it seemed to be echoing...gist, JM wants to return to Mumbai.

The highlight of today's episode for me was when the couple walked up the steps to do the pooja and after the pooja how Raja puts kumkum on Madhu's forehead. Every detail was done so well.

i'm glad ke aaj ki date mein, MAdhu was shot..otherwise the way it was going, i thought they will keep alternating b/w dhuan, mandir, pooja, pujari and JM..

the kamarbandh scene, well my friends have described it aptly..@Meenu, u got to get ur dirty mind checked 😳

the mandir scene was quite hilarious. bec. of JM's dialogues, a little bit of it, saved by Raja later on..the dhishum dhishum was cool...VD did some difficult stunts perfectly !! i didn't like the karan arjun style cave..too melodramatic...the aarti was nice though..

pehle toh her prayer, keep me away from bomb, bandook and goli 🤣 later on, she tells Raja, meri dida ne mujhe kabhi thappad bhi nahi maara and uff, aaj mujhe GOLI lag gayi 🤣

so panditji telling JM ke woh toh utha le jayenge Rani ko..(but kahan se? therez a cave inside the cave?) n Rani pleading him to leave her...her hero making an entry on time...n i realized yes, JM otherwise doesnt have any problem with the violence, if it's used to save her..and for the rest, she is ready with her lectures..police bulao and all..

the scene where she holds the gun is a must watch...diwali ki bandook is also scarier than this...but whatever , she got shot and hil dul kar she asked Raja to free her ...

i hope they move to Mumbai now...and they can continue plotting murders there..arre Mumbai mein bhi toh underworld and gundagardi hai..so what?

The whole Mandir thing including that poojari taking madhu to a soon saan tunnel or cave whatever it was was extreme hilarious, it was seems like a low budget movie place with no intensity, and Poojari'r lecture, Madhu screaming Raja Raja, Raja's entry... omg totally Rofl 🤣

Madhu begging... set me free gaana... chalte rahe šŸ˜•

Btw, is Raja can't see no love in Madhu's eyes and one sided like a broken record, saying how much he loves her

Dauji, what an emotional blackmailer... 🄱

i hope they move to Mumbai now...and they can continue plotting murders there..arre Mumbai mein bhi toh underworld and gundagardi hai..so what?

Charu that will be perfect... Raja can make Mumbai safe 🤣

Sorry Leela for not review post on first page. This is just random blabbing.

I watched last few episodes randomly after a gap of almost 3-4 months so excuse me if I don'thave the gist of characters here. RK mansion se bahar nikle toh dekha ki "Guns without any Roses" band is playing in full swing here. The runaway bride is not able to get too far though.

Dudho nahao came literally true in JM's case when she gets to Raja's house eh? I see glimpses of Dipali in Agni here and when I saw that lady Falguni, I thought I am looking at Jaya Bhaduri of Sholay for a moment...Kuch bhi kaho, Bhanu Jija is our true villain after Bhujang Shastri.

"Aare Yaar Raja, Why don't you take the entire khandan to Mumbai for a change? Instead of this dharti pe arthi wali nautanki by Dauji, why not he and Baiji take a mini vacation to Mumbai. Agni aur Tara ki sair ho jayegi, Bhanu jija can replenish/upgrade his guns stock and JM will get a chance to take her SILs in the Mumbai local train. For a change Raja wont have to listen to JM's daily song of "Take me home". Woh Falguni ko bhi saath leke chalo aur Sunny se introduce do. Win-win situation for everyone. What says?

On a serious note, Raja's constant proclamation to JM that "Hum tumse pyaar karten hein" seems to be repetitive which is quite boring and stuck in one place. I think she is dreaming of some kind of fairy tale married life with man of her dreams but in reality has to wear jewelry that comes with "gun included".

I just looked at Colors question to us about what kind of relationship Raja and JM are sharing. I think it is neither cute, nor adorable, nor intense. I don't think there is any relationship sans the legal wedding that took place between them. They haven't had any time to begin developing any relationship yet IMO.

Sorry if this post hurt feelings of anyone who is avidly watching the show. peace...

I really enjoyed the episode tonight. My favorite parts were the couple's pooja part and the last scene! Both DVD did an amazing job in it! Even the fake pandit/kidnapper did a nice job. The story is quite gripping and has me hooked. The supporting cast is also doing a great job and they all are good actors, especially the villains and the dauji. Looking forward to what happens next!!! :)

random musings..
i'll be glad if they give chota jija some dialogues in every epi...he's a good actor..

DD never looked so pathetic in the entire MB series, not even in those behenji anarkalis as she was looking with this chasma and pallu with badly draped saaree..I'm SO glad they will move to Mumbai..
