Not going to give a proper scene-by-scene review... but I loved the episode... Logical high voltage drama is back in MEIEJ! So I thought I should write something in honor of that.. 😆

Disclaimer: The review below might offend people though trust me, I do not intend to mean any! This is purely my opinion and the way I see the characters.. you may agree to disagree with me! I do not condone whatever was shown today! If I still love JRM.. it does not mean that following their footsteps I will start slapping women and will start welcoming slaps! 😆 It just shows that I know what I signed up for when I made it a point to get addicted to a dark love story with flawed characters. As everyone who knows me know I am a sucker for grey characters, I do not learn from shows. If I can root for Dexter Morgan and Jaime Lannister... this is nothing... 😆

Oh my.. disclaimer got long! 😆

Before I begin .. I will say... I loved yesterday's episode as well!! I love how MEIEJ kept their parampara... like always... a party which was kept in honor of someone turned out to be a show of humiliation! 😆 MEIEJ is seriously back with a bang! 😆

Anyway moving on... to the main post.. I loved the episode just because it was high on drama factor!

And every character stayed true to their characters!!

Raja's POV:

He was restless ever since the party incident... and then he saw JM crying and begging him to leave her... he couldn't sleep the whole night.. he doesn't know how to console her emotionally... he doesn't know how to deal with her when she is crying.. even as Raju he used to panic whenever JM cried... he doesn't know how to console her... and he cannot let her go... and on top of that he gets a phone call.. rage takes over... where restlessness resided first... he was beating the man who killed his family for no reason at all... venting out his anger and frustration.. as usko toh sirf gun ki boli ati hai... and then JM comes.. and this happens... No I am not justifying him...I am just saying... he is very lost... he may get some clarity when a wilder storm comes... Read: When JM gets hurt!

JM's POV:

I felt very bad for her... she spoke her heart out... she was talking of her feelings.. her pain.. and the man who claims to love her was unable to connect or console her emotionally.. in fact he was busy drooling on her.. ( I was drooling on them.. when they stood by the window! Heheh 😛 ) .. but yeah... she is feeling home sick and alien in the cage he calls home.. she sees her self-proclaimed pagal husband sneaking out at the dead of night with a loaded gun... and she tries to stop him when she sees him beating a man to death... she is already dealing with the fact that he killed AK... and she knows how he gets violent and is always ready to kill people for smallest reasons... so she tries to stop him... only to get slapped in front of everyone...

Now I am really waiting for their confrontation! It is going to be a rocking one! I love high voltage drama and I believe tomorrow JRM going to kill it!

Will say again.. God!! DVD looked droolicious by the window! So gorgeous!!! I loved that scene... not just because I am a DVD fangirl! 😆 But also because it spoke volumes of their relationship! And it shows how much do they need to find a middle ground... as they both are at two very different places... metaphorically of course!

I have to add, the disconnect between Raja and Madhu was so so apparent. It was so sad. I wanted madhu to leave and Raja to stay with his family. I mean, there was this huge pit in my heart, will these two ever be able to get together? Can they ever stay together? And suddenly one felt maybe it was better for them to separate. A huge round of applause to DVD for bringing this across, effectively. Raja was so confused and disturbed. While Madhu was just plain done. No mood to compromise, in fact begging him to let her go.

Soundarya I second you..well said 👏 👍🏼

A big applause for DVD for enacting it well and to the team for bringing out the untouched things in a relation on-screen...JRM love story is unique I can say..

@ankita,leela and maria..awesome reviews

What an incredible and utterly poignant episode.

The scene between Raja and JM was stunning, not just visually, but for the depth of emotion shown on both sides. Raja is truly desperately in love with her, but does not understand her, and cannot let her go. She is tied to him by the bonds of matrimony (and perhaps the residue of the feelings she harbored fro Raju?), but is desperate to escape the violent and claustrophobic world he inhabits. They are at an impasse. Very moving, I felt deeply for both of them.

The aging patriarch rails helplessly, and somewhat ineffectively - people still retain a vestige of respect for him, but he is helpless to stop the tide that is going to overwhelm his household.

Raja finds his parents murderer and gets close to beating the life out of him (understandable.) What I found interesting were not so much Bhanu's expressions (the man is somehow involved in this entire thing) but Dauji's expressions. I feel like the character could go either way at this stage - he could emerge as the villain of the piece, with his son Veer as the unwitting collateral damage in a plan that went wrong; or he could be the helpless innocent father who lost both his son and brother due to Bhanu's plotting. I guess its literally a wait and see...(and I'll be waiting to watch 😃)

The rage and frustration Raja is feeling on multiple fronts has a convenient target - the parents murderer, someone he could freely thrash. He is mindless in, and consumed by his rage. JM's efforts to stop her husband from possibly killing someone are useless - he turns on her. Undoubtedly, he will deeply regret his moment of uncontrolled insanity later, am waiting to see how it is resolved. And as we all know, loose ends are quite satisfactorily at least, to my satisfaction 😃) tied up in MB2.

Kudos to the entire team - brilliant direction and camerawork (that visually stunning scene with DVD); gorgeous acting by DD and VD; the actor playing Dauji was also very good today. Regardless of how the show TRPs fare, I think AS and his team should be proud of the show.

Noticed something very interesting regarding the infamous "slap" scene. Both Raja and his Rani are wearing similar colored outfit signifying that their life story is the same. I'm not supporting Raja's slapping Madhu by any means, but both are suffering in the same pain - of losing their parents who were innocent. I think this feeling will eventually bind them together. They are lonely in their personal world, they are both vulnerable. They need each other's support. Their destinies are sealed with each other. Maybe Raja should let her go, so that she can come back to him on her free will. Waiting for the track to start when Madhu will learn the details of her parent's death and the fact that her father is responsible for bringing her husband's family out of poverty/suppression.

Anyone pls clear my doubt
Why did Raja insult Bhaanu jeeja
Is it because he dared to touch Madhu
Or because he force Madhu to dance?

According to madhu, she have been insulted by forcing to dance in public. But I don't think Raja even considered that forcing to dance part as wrong. Its just a part of their lifestyle

he insulted bec. of both the reasons...bhanu touched Madhu and forced her to dance..i dun think forcing to dance is a part of their culture...otherwise they wouldn't have invited the nachaniyas and asked their ghar ki bahu betis to dance...

Charu,ok forcing to dance may not be their culture but when Raja talked to Tauji abt the incident he didn't even once mention that jeeja force madbu to dance or humiliate her. He was saying jeeja hold my lugaai's hand and he didn't like that. And jaya's character also ignored Bhanu's act saying mazzak ka rishta hai jeeja saali ka. Only Tauji and Madhu felt bad about it. And later in their room when Madhu mention about the insult, Raja was not in a mood to listen to her he was busy admiring her 😛 . What I wants to say is Raja may probably ignored the fact that Jeeja forced Madhu all he registed was Jeeja hold Rani's hand
