Rishabh and Sultan were having coffee at the Roots restaurant. It was a weekday so completely deserted. Sultan had Amit's letter in his hand which Rishabh had brought for him to read. After a long silence between them, Rishabh spoke up, "He didn't even wait for me." "He did not kill himself, Rishu," said Sultan. Rishabh shot up a look at Sultan. "Don't blame yourself. It was an accident. The eye witnesses told that suddenly a dog had jumped into the road in front of his car. As it was raining heavily and he was under the influence of alcohol, he could not control the car, and in order to save the dog he swerved to the right, hitting the pillar with huge momentum," said Sultan, with his eyes fixed on the letter. Rishabh closed his eyes as yet another pain started flowing in and he murmured, "He did not deserve this, he did not deserve this." Again silence filled in between. "I wish we had never met her," muttered Rishabh. "What do you mean?" asked Sultan agitatedly. "I have known Amit from the age of four. We never had a problem with anything, not even a toy. We shared Ma's love as true siblings. And then she came in our life, unannounced, and ruined it forever," blurted Rishabh. Sultan stared at him in disbelief. "Do you really think Madhu was the reason behind all this? She met both of you at the same time. Then you went away and she came closer to Amit and fell in love. And the day she got married she was pushed away by Amit, without having any idea about the reason. Today the whole world knows her as Amit's widow, who did not even love her for a single moment in her married life!!" blurted Sultan. "Because Amit also felt the same pain as me. An outsider creeping in our life, trying to shape it up according to her need, and pulling us apart. It's sad, but true that she had made Amit's life unbearable by clinging on to him, and because of her only I did not feel like coming back!!" shouted Rishabh, as he stood up. "Are you trying to bury your guilt conscious by proving Madhu guilty?" asked Sultan. "Sultan!!" barked Rishabh. "Don't shout Rishabh. You are not going to prove anything by raising your voice!! Even if for a moment, you did feel left alone when you saw Amit and Madhu together. And then you started hating Madhu. Not because she chose Amit over you, but because she started becoming important in Amit's life." "Agar sab tujhe pata tha, then why did you tell Amit that I did not stay for his marriage because I fancied Madhu?" shouted Rishabh. "And why didn't you stay back and get over your insecurities when you knew Amit would be upset seeing you gone?" replied Sultan with equal rage. Right then Sultan's phone started ringing. Rishabh gave him a scornful look and headed towards the exit. "Yes Trishna, what? Madhu's in hospital? We are coming right now," said Sultan and seeing Rishabh going out he followed him. "Rishabh, wait. Madhu fainted, Trishna took her to the hospital. We have to go there right now." Rishabh turned back, he was shivering in fury. "Enough Rishu, please don't do this, for aunty's sake. She should not know about all this mess," pleaded Sultan. Rishabh silently followed him to the car.

"Madhu's BP is extremely low. Doctor asked for some blood tests. We are waiting for the results," said Trishna as she saw Sultan and Rishabh. As they were talking, the doctor approached and said, "Ma'am, could you please come with me? We have some more tests to be done." Trishna followed her immediately. Sultan and Rishabh waited for a couple of hours more in the waiting area. In between Radha had called Rishabh thrice, asking about Madhu's condition. Neither Rishabh nor Sultan spoke to each other during this time, as the ugly spat between them had exhumed a lot of unspoken words.

"Trishna, how's Madhu? When will she be released?" asked Sultan as he saw Trishna approaching with the doctor. "Sultan, Rishabh, there's a good news. Madhu is pregnant!!" exclaimed Trishna with sheer joy. Both Rishabh and Sultan stared at her in utter disbelief.
