Maria this is such a terrific commencement to the story; exciting, gripping, thought provoking. The way you powerfully opened it with Maya's nightmare represented by fear, your description of her tear stained cheek gave feel she had just been hit by a desert storm. I jut absolutely loved the level of detail you went into painting the atmosphere and Maya's character nuances in this opening chapter, creating a notion of visualise as I read feel; mind blowing specifics you portrayed. The way you established her aspirations and how these made to be halted by pains of the past, yet her determination to strive and dream. Loved the use of dance as an escapism for her. The way you wonderfully described how she becomes one in this art; going from being detached to attached. The scene at the club was so vividly expressed, breathtaking descriptors and how he sees the glow in her juxtaposition with dark dim of Pub and within him...WOW. What really blew me away too was how you wrote about the sunlight, hitting her on the balcony and she feels the hope contrasting this with how he then sees the sun in her as the sign of prosper..Genius Maria. I cant wait for your next update.
