N E W U P D A T E
That night, Rishabh was to be late and Madhubala sat all alone in their little abode. Having pampered her body with a good pedicure and manicure, she felt light and happy. Her body had become a lot more strong and healthy. She felt bright and happy. She had 5 scripts in the reading stage and another 3 in the waiting. In short, for the next 5 years, she was going to be loaded with assignments and films. Reaching the zenith of her career had always been her dream...and she was happy that she was taking gradual steps towards it. She was already a Superstar in a short life of 21 years but she wanted to become the next Amitabh Bachchan. Having met him once or twice in her career, she found him extremely magnetic and charismatic personality. He was at the peak of his career in terms of name, fame and money but he was as down to earth as she could have ever imagined anybody to be. "I wanna be like you sir...", she had said in one of her meetings with the Shahenshah of Bollywood. Goosebumps and heartbeats never stopped to rise during his presence. She took out the script which was based on a social issue of inflation and she was being roped in to play the press reporter covering a campaign against the petrol and fuel inflation rates. Her role was much inspired by Kareena's role in Satyagraha, and in fact had the same director/producer and the cast included Amitabh Bachchan as the corrupt Finance Minister. She was eager to read the thing and so her fingers pulled out the script and started to read it.
Once she finished reading it, she sent the message through her PA that she was keen on doing the role. Next, she went inside and started looking through her wardrobe for something nice and sexy. Rishabh was about to get home and her mind was tickling to tease him...and to teach him a lesson for torturing her so much with his anger. She always knew how much she loved him but she was always hesitant in revealing it...thanks to her 'not-so-beautiful' past.

Rishabh entered the house while still on a conference call with Nakul and Anjali. The lights were dim and room was candled over. He cut the call and looked around to check if she was home or not. There in the kitchen he saw her.

She wore a brown simple dress with a collared-neck but her back was something of a beauty. The dress was backless upto the point where her spine ended and below that, it flew out as a skirt. Rishabh gulped as he saw her wet locks and the way she cleared it from her back and collected it on her shoulders on the right. She was lighting the candles while the microwave beeped monotonously. Rishabh kept his bag and books on the rack beside him...carelessly.

He turned and closed the door and bolted it. Now, he was absolutely clueless...what should he do now...what did Madhu expect him to do...was a more probable question ringing in his mind. "Alright! Lets see" he cleared his mind and turned around. With absolutely peace on his face, he walked as if he never saw Madhu or those candles. He walked upto the kitchen and took out water to drink. Nervousness spread over his face as he realised Madhu tracing her fingers up his hands. He finished one glass of water and then the second one with the same speed. By this time, Madhu had reached his collar. Rishabh stopped and the glass slipped from his hands and jingled on the floor. Madhu pulled his collar around so that his face came face to face with hers. Rishabh blinked twice and took a heavy breath. Madhu winked at him and drew him closer using her other hand. Rishabh pulled back his neck to avoid her touch but he realised that his efforts were going in vain. Rishabh bit his entire lip and took it between his teeth...while he started breathing heavily...Madhu chuckled softly which brought back Rishabh to the reality. He stiffened himself and turned his face pale and expressionless.

"Madhubala...please don't!", he held her hand and released it from her collar. Madhu was perplexed and angry. How could have anyone possibly dared to refused Madhubala except for this Alien Kundra. She smirked thinking of the effect she had on Rishabh afterall.

So, Madhubala gave him a little push towards the kitchen work area and he tripped balancing his body on his wrist. Madhu pushed the other side of his body towards the table and then lifted her weight up on her toe and climbed on his feet. She tightened her hands around his waist and kissed his neck. Rishabh closed his eyes and gulped tightly. "Madhubala..." Rishabh tried to reason but she stopped his words with her fingers. He turned his face away but she turned it towards her face again. Rishabh opened her eyes and saw Madhu's eyes glistening with tears. "Madhu" he tried to speak but she held his mouth with her fingers. "Chup karo! Why don't you ever let me speak Alien?" Madhu smiled and bit her lip.

"I hate you...do you get it..I hate you hate you hate you..."

Rishabh sighed. "Let me go then, I already know you do...why do you keep hurting..."

Madhu took his lips into a kiss before he could speak further. She kissed his lips and then his cheeks. Rishabh closed his eyes and slipped his right hand around her waist. Madhu kissed his eyes and then buried her face in his neck.

"My dad told me something... When I was a kid. A day before he left me Rishi, he told me that every good person has a set of angels for him or her. These angels keep coming in your life one after the other and keep you happy and give you love and support. He said that once he will be gone, my sister would be there...and someone else too... He gave me that pendant and told me to never lose the goodness inside me, and this said and done, His Angels would always protect me. Alas! I broke my promise and indulged myself in all this rubbish. I shouldn't have done that...to me and to my sister. He must have taken his angels back to him, because I was bad enough. But you... Rishi I don't understand how you affect me so easily? Your smile, your tears, your laugh affects me so much. I don't understand what's happening to me. I don't know if its love, because this word is nothing more than a void for me, but for sure its something special. I don't want to say "I Love You Rishi..." Because that's what everyone says? Right...but I am Superstar Madhubala!! I can't be like the common people na? I have to be different. You're special Rishi! You're my Dad's Angel he sent to my life..."

She slipped her hands and hugged him tightly, as tightly as could. Rishabh tucked his head into her hair but didnt actually reciprocate the hug. "Ohh and I don't like that Anjali girl!" She sniffed her nose which had turned red. Rishabh bit his lip and smiled softly. "Anjali is beautiful. Typical marriage material." Rishabh told her.

"Is it?? RK! Have you seen me in a lingerie?"

"Have I seen you in what??" RK popped her eyes wide open.

"I am a better marriage material dear Kundra ji!"

"And how is 'that thing you mentioned' proving this?"

"I am the best on bed..."

Rishabh was flushing with sweat. This woman. Shameless and Brainless. He thought. "Madhu...what are you saying?"

"RK! I don't like that Anjali girl!"

"Why Madhu? She's beautiful, she's talented, and moreover every mother would want her as her daughter-in-law"

"Daughter In law? Ohh! So wearing sarees and all those Indian dresses guaranty you a good marriage! What the f**k is that RK!"

"Language Madhu!"

"Whatever RK! I just have to tell you that you can't meet Anjali now!"

"And why should I not?? Even Maa likes her and Nakul too?"

"Maa already likes her? Shit! Now what! Breathe! Madhubala!" , thought Madhubala.

"Madhu...are you listening? I tell you even you will like her?"

"I won't! You get that?? I hate her..."

"How? You haven't even met her once!"

"I know it... And no cross-questions!"

Rishabh rolled his lips inside trying to hide his smile or rather the wide grin.

"Aah! Wait...you did all this to make me realize how much you hate Anjali?"

Madhu started shaking her head, banging it with palms. "No No!! I didn't do this for...no actually...I wanted to tell you...it wasnt about Anjali...actually RK! *pausing* I am sorry RK! I *releasing herself away from his proximity* I am.."

And she ran off outside as fast as she could. Rishabh kept looking in her direction with awe and a BIG dimpled smile on his face.

Later That Night

Rishabh was stirring the coffee and sugar together to make Madhu's regular night coffee with her medicines. He couldn't help but keep smiling remembering how she panicked a few hours back. Almost in that memory, he turned when suddenly his lips got locked into someone's lips. They tasted strawberries and they were soft. He left the coffee mug on the table and opened his eyes into Madhu's face. Their face were sticking to each other as she sucked every part of his face with her lips. Rishabh's palms tensioned and stretched away from their origin. He didnt hold Madhu back because he was choked, in his thoughts, in his emotions and in his actions too. "I love you!" Madhu breathed out heavily. "Madhu..." Rishabh asked shocked though he was somewhere expecting that. "I am Sorry but I LOVE YOU VERY much!", she cried softly while she kept huffing and puffing. Rishabh chuckled, "why are you sorry! Stupid Girl!!" Rishabh cried happily. Years glistened in his eyes as he cupped her face and kissed her passionately. Madhu held his shirt tightly and started unbuttoning it. Rishabh felt her fingers and smiled in his heart. "Tum jhalle ho!" She chuckled still kissing him.

"But Anjali, uska kya! Maa likes her..." Madhu looked worried.

"Obviously marriage will happen then na?"

"You love me RISHU! And you're saying MARRIAGE WILL STILL HAPPEN!"

Madhu popped her eyes wide open. Rishabh raised a single brow looking at her and grinned.
