there are no rigid rules for KC, but it depends on person to person...In our families, we perform pooja in the morning, afteroon or evening and after that, have a cup of tea or milk , cold coffee, anything..n break the fast after seeing the moon..n this channi n all is not important, many women break their fast in the absence of their husbands...it's important to fast with a good spirit that's it..fasting is not done to torture yourself...

Loved all your posts👏. As usual, our favourite serial has thrown us off -kilter and we are all trying to regain our balance😆. I think this is truly one of the reasons why the serial has a cult following👏..agree or disagree, the serial cannot be ignored. Each character has its day in the sun when their POV was absolutely right, when looked at within the circle of their own perception. When the character steps out of their own circle, then the lines gets blurred, and we call it grey.
RK - For the first time in his life, his success is haunting him, he cannot afford to lose this battle. As for Madhu, I cannot forget the first time he saw her on screen, he was mesmerised by her on screen presence as an actor, as a creative entity. Now he is realising the limitations of Madhu in that she is just not as creatively inclined. He would like it if she immersed herself completely in her film, was consumed by it, if not for the sublime act of creating art, but because the film is so important for him otherwise. He is not seeing that fire in her, though she is extremely talented, acting is instinctive for her. I was fascinated yesterday when he switched from RK to Karan back to RK, throughout that KC scene. VD 👏.

Coincidentally, I just read a tweet by Pooja Bhatt today...Beyond the 'sell', there is nothing creative about film making. Manic energy gets the job done not small talk. Burn or stay home. Knit instead.

Madhu - What she wants is simple..marriage, babies, home, festivals...nothing more, nothing less. Having said that, her stubbornness in going home for the pooja, reeks of trying to placate Rji..that is it. She could have made a makeshift pooja in the studio for all those women keeping a fast,..Bhavika for eg😆. And done the pooja. She is creative only when it comes to standing her ground with RK, much like a child.

RM- So yesterday, Madhu was trying to make up with RK ,because she got her way, she went for the pooja, made RK break her fast. RK 's actions were understandable because it was like a subtle game she was playing, in response to his game playing. RK understood that, because this was the same woman who almost pulled off a revenge with him. So they are in a way equally matched as a couple. She never gives in to his control tactics.

And truly the honeymoon period is over. They have to cross this huge bridge of understanding, tolerance, to reach a beautiful compromise for life, forever. That is what marriage is all about, right??

SO if she believes in rituals, he can do for her just to make her happy. And if he hates them, Madhu has to work out a way so that she can do what she wants, without forcing him to accept the rituals. That was wrong. Both of them trying to change such basic values in each other will only lead to more conflicts

Drama wise, this kind of constant bickering fuelled by Pabho-Dips- Rji will lead to a separation, maybe temporary. But it is still interesting to watch, it gives some food for thought as well..about the film making line.

Oh. I wasn't here then.. glad to know we think alike. 😳

As I said in your post, Madhu is a victim of reverse psychology. From being the most ideal and perfect wife and daughter in law who was praised day and night, she is now being told that she cannot perform her duties well, not only by RJ but also by RK. On the other hand, Pabho have stopped talking to her about her duties after that nivaran, which is even worse. Then there is that kundali deal she has at the back of her mind.. I don't think she has completely forgotten it.. it will be unlike her and I guess that was one more reason to do KC by hook or by crook. It is not just RK who is going through a lot but Madhu also. As we all know she is stubborn, this reverse psychology tactic is driving her crazy.. I think all this confidence she has in her is just an alternative to "hauslon se veer" energy-driving chant because she is using this confidence to ignore and ultimately defeat any doubts that people suddenly have in her ability.. people who used to praise her day and night.

RK doesn't have a problem in creating a false image of Madhu because he has been this way his entire life, hasn't he? Hiding behind a false image? He knows that you can never please everyone.. he doesn't make that effort and so, he doesn't want Madhu to make any effort to please anyone who demands so much from her and pressurize her emotionally. It was very much like him to think this way. However, it wasn't his call.. so yeah.. he was wrong here.

Soundarya... I love your post. 😳

There is time to charge and time to retreat in any situation. Charging does not guarantee victory and retreat does not signify defeat. Madhu chose not retaliate to her public humiliation by RK. Instead she files that one away for now and goes back to the studio to finish the shooting. She does tweak the scene a little bit to serve dual purpose. According to me, that was the best compromise to finish KC. Scene bhi ho jaye aur madhu ka vrat bhi khul jaye. Madhu did not cry buckets, did try to initially reason with RK but when he point blank refuses to talk, she executes her plan with MC's help. MC's selfishness here in going along with Madhu's plan is to finish the shift without any more packups.

Why do we expect this year's KC to be a feel-good like last one? Last year RK was happy-go-lucky to leisurely manaofy Madhu in style. This year he is under the gun, totally focused on his film and he doesn't have time to do KC-2. He means business and expects the same from Madhu without him having to spell it out for her. All his talk about keeping scores I feel is just his paranoia talking. He is egging Madhu on to leave Biwi ka role not because he is expecting Madhu to take acting full time using this movie as launch pad. His focus is narrow just for his film now. He is just getting paranoid by all the shoot cancels and the delays happening. Being the producer now, he feels the financial loss acutely and is not ready to sustain any more. It is his firm belief that Madhu can't have her cake and eat it too.

Each person handles things uniquely their own way. Just because RK wants to have single minded focus just on films does not mean Madhu should do the same. She is asking him to trust her to do things her way. As long as she completes her scenes, shows up on time why is RK bothered about what her identity is or should be? Who is he to decide that? Madhu alone has the right to decide what her identity is or will be just like RK too has that own right. Time and again Madhu has made it clear to RK, what her stance is. She is not pretending anything. She is getting bewildered why RK is hellbent on molding her into something she is not.

Different points of views and beliefs are good and necessary for any healthy partnership. What is not good is the inability to strike the middle ground. Trying to hammer a square peg into a round hole results either in breaking the hammer or the peg. What is important?hammer or the peg?

Regarding MC - He talks to RK as a director to the producer. He talks to Madhu as director to the actor and that is how it should be. His last negligent comment to Madhu about RK was just careless. Like any outsider who is not privy to RM's equation, he just wonders aloud how can any woman care for RK after what all he did to her publicly. He is just basing his opinion on what he has read/seen so far. He is neither's confidant to make any informed observations, at least not yet.
Yes he has got a tiny dose of Madhu's stubbornness (in getting him as director and putting herself up as RK's heroine) however he has no clue yet as to how crazy this couple really is. 😆

Superbly worded...agree with all..

CR, IMO it's both their idiocies which is running the story...Madhu never came out of her "main pagal hoon" mode, if we analyze her closely...last yr also she went to extreme levels like eating sargi from the dustbin and fasting while she had food poisoning...but they maintained suspense over whether RK will come homer to break the fast or no...so they got high TRPs ...

but I'm liking Karan Anamika's story in parallel to RM's story..RM are expressing through Karan and Anamika..If RK has to cajole his wife, he will do it as Karan and if Madhu had to break her fast, she gets it done through Anamika ..when they will fight, they will talk to each other as KA 😆 their real life will be mingled with their reel life...i find it so interesting, wonder why Madhu isn't liking it ..

Charu, I would not say that it is their idiocies which is running the story but their eccentricities. The difference is very subtle but tells a hero from a zero. Madhu has touched the 'zero' point too many times to accept her as a credible heroine.

Madhu has always been crazy but she has her phases of good crazy and bad crazy. She was very supportive of RK when he got into the mess with the producers , it was the good crazy in her that made her chase MC and take up the heroine's role. But all of the sudden she has now turned into a spoilt brat who is doing her best to increase her husband's problems instead of decreasing them.

Last year's KC was all about her declaring her love for RK. And she had nothing to do except sit at home while doing it. She did it despite the food poisoning because she had a point to prove and also make RK admit that he cared for her despite claiming otherwise. It was a lovers game. This year's KC is not a lovers game. This time RK is a frustrated husband and producer, and Madhu is a spoilt brat wanting to have her cake and eat it too.

I liked Karan-Anamika initially but now they have lost their charm for me. The reel-real life parallel is not working and I blame the poor writing for it.

highly disappointed by the episode..

RK.. no matter what his personal situation is, he has no right to insult his wife (who he claims to love more than himself )🤢in front of all and sundry. there is way to put one's point. I agree with MADHU, that the equation between 2 people who love each other is not about 'hisaab'. he is going overboard with my movie crap.. if he cares for Madhu, why he cant give her a stupid pleasure of opening her fast?

Madhu.. if she was going to be normal with him, showinh him the mehndi and then being so lovey dovey.. what was the point of not talking when RK wanted to talk it out. I dont see the glimpse of a loving wife in all this but a ritual loving pig headed woman was all I saw in this track..

If i want my husband to fulfill a ritual, I would like him to do it with a smile. and its not that she cant make RK do things for her..

MC.. he had no right to talk about RK after hechided him for madhu's unprofessional attitude..

RJ.. she was one of the characters I liked.. but today I hate her as much as I hate Pads..

From TRP perspective, this KC which is usually a happy occasion left a bad taste in everybody's mouth..

For nonTRP people, it was an insult to our sensibilties.. Both madhu n RK sounded stupid and foolish..

<div>CVs.. they give us good scenes and gripping tracks but they cant keep the charm on.. last thursday onwards, it was promising but this KC track was a disaster. After last year's KC, RK couldnt have kept this retarded stanceabout KC.. this is super clunky.. RK who was keeping madhu above his ego suddenly wanted a hisaab.. bullcrap!!.

I am sorry but the upcoming track whatever it is, if based on the last 2 episodes with sudden mutation in 2 crazily in love with each other couple, is going to be a disaster.

Sorry for the rant, but CVs have lost it completely. the TRPs got better after they show RK supporting Madhu promo. this is what audience likes..

not devdas lovesick RKnot this publicly humiliating man in the name of a husband.. this was waay beyondy our favorite kameena RK.. CVs cantkeep abalance

Lovely reveiw kashish
And since its from you
I am sure it has to be unbiased when it comes to RM
I think cvs are confused mass if protoplasm

They have started a track which they themselves don't know how to go ahead in
They don't know what to do
Keep Madhu as Madhu or turn her into anamika

Keep rk as loving caring husband or turn him completely ruthless kameena

As you said they don't know the middle path

Now *he* is given dialogues telling Madhu that RK doesn't care about her?😲

Do
the CVs think mass-audience will have collective convenient amnesia for
which character says what, even though that didn't happen in any of the past several months of previous tracks?

I said earlier that Mehul was a more insidious threat to Madhu than Pabho could ever be.
He has been far more subtle in what he has led RK and Madhu to do, and can always claim later that they shouldn't have listened to him. More worryingly, the couple may never know the slow vitriol that man has seeped into their lives.
He wants her and RK to fulfil his requirements for the film. But he considers only his opinions to have worth, and was contemptuously dismissive of Madhu's own dreams for life.
And yet he has invariably made reactions that reflect poorly on him to RK and Madhu individually each in the absence of the other.
Neither RK nor Madhu know about the man's pushes to each other.
RK does not know how often Mehul pressured Madhu to take on the heroine role by reminding her of RK being in crisis.
Madhu does not know that the Mehul who was today commending her wifely love and talking of her husband's lack of consideration for her had told her husband he would quit as director if Madhu did not completely immerse herself in the film.

What the CVs seem to be doing seems to be the equivalent of shooting oneself in the foot, and then finding an axe and ramming one's shot foot onto the axe.

RK's attitude and harping on about Madhu needing to focus on the career would make sense if the story, the track or even one of the characters expected Madhu to continue in the profession she detests beyond this one film.
His ranting about Madhu forgetting her own nature and becoming a persona she is not - which looks so bizarrely inexplicable in the current shoddily written track - would have made sense if he were forcing Madhu into acting not for just one film but into that career for more and more films.
But in gambling on majboor RK and mahaan Madhu to make the stardom track acceptable to majority-audience, the CVs seem to have written themselves into a deadend alley with no way to make even the remotest sense of any of the reactions they need to carve the future situations.

His being agonized by her pain in any other matter, and yet not considering that she is doing something she detests for him and it's embarrassing for him to expect more from her, is beyond clunky strange.

If she weren't heroine, then in this clunkdonia track, he would supposedly not have the bank loan approved at all.
The very film being in progress at all is supposedly because of her.
Then it follows that it's not losses for when she's not working, but rather all the losses that have been avoided for every amount of time that she has been working.

RK's behaving as if Madhu needs to focus on a career that is not intended to last beyond the current project is beyond inexplicably ludicrous.

And first Ganeshotsav and now karva chauth have been turned into farcical presentations this year, unlike the excellence of last year.

RK *knows* the extent Madhu went to for the ritual last year.
Has she ever done anything since then until now to indicate that her sentiments on that point might perhaps have changed? Definitely not.

And shoots do not qualify as important enough in this series that they can't be cancelled for something so much more important to majority-audience as karva chauth.

If - instead of this dashing back and forth from shoot - Madhu had flatly refused to shoot on that day and said that the fast for her husband's long life was more important to her than missing one day of his film (with or without the suggestion that scenes not featuring her be shot instead for the day), she would have got full support from majority-audience.
Husband's film (even with his and their potential financial ruin) is far less important in on-screen presentations than karva chauth for the repeatedly-almost-dying husband.
Her husband has already almost died more than seven times since their first wedding.
She has more reason to worry for his longevity than most wives might.

This career is Madhu becoming heroine, not a doctor that someone's life might be on the line if she didn't go to work.
If it's a choice between a ritual for the longevity of her frequently-visiting-death husband and the comparative importance of his film, it's a no-contest.
The film - or anything which won't risk someone else's life - can wait as a far less important thing.

And RK and MC have both yelled pack-up in this very film for far more paltry reasons.
So any layperson expected to think one more shoot cancelled would be a big thing would need to have amnesia about the history of pack-ups within this very film's shoots so far.

Don't know if yesterday's and today's episode will get good TRP.
Audience may have remembered last year's belatedly beautifully celebrated karva chauth and watched the karva chauth episodes this year with some hope of a fond repeat after somewhat similar hostile strain between the couple.
Was it awareness that the next episodes would prove to be revealingly disappointing in some facet or the other that led to the precluding of precaps and also resulted in the current MEIEJ promo using scenes from last year's karva chauth?

</font>

Lovely reveiw as usual
What to say
I think everyone has said enough

All I want to add is
Pls we don't expect any great stuff from you dear cvs
But at least it should be palatable

I am so late in writing in that I don't even know if any one will read this comment. ( I had guests staying over the week-end who just left). but absolutely wonderful reviews by all such deep insight in to the mindsets of RK and madhu over all and also with respect with the KC. so just one statement about what pabo commented, she said some thing to the effect that keep heating the iron and then hitting it .. well lady remember, repeated heating of the iron and hitting it makes it stronger and stronger and then it will be a sharp sword that will slice you out of RK's life for good for ever...😃😉.. (or so I wish😊😊)
