Kash, here Madhu is probably reminded of what RK once said to her when Sultan had pointed his gun in the middle of the road. RK had asked what would have happened had Sultan fired the gun? Her fear for RK's life came to the fore when faced again with a similar situation. She was very determined to stand in front of RK to protect him at all costs even though RK wanted her to move out of the way. Her sermon mixed with reality check was a means to avoid any calamity.
More importantly, liked RK's maturity and grace in handling a tough situation. RK yielded where necessary and showed a strong stance with respect to Madhu. Anything less, viewers would not accept.
