"Secrets are generally terrible. Beauty is not hidden--only ugliness and deformity."( L.M. Montgomery)
Today Meera's going into seizures on seeing her husbands portrait brought forth to Radhaji the enormity of her husband's misdemeanor...
And it's this guilt that makes her reveal the truth before Madhu and accept her being a coward all along...that Radhaji has never been a strong woman, of that we have witnessed many witnesses...her marrying the second time, her enduring her own son's rebuffs and when she learnt about her husband's misdeeds, not making him seek Meera and set things right there and then...Even now seeing Meera's condition not having the courage to admit and accept her...Radhaji, in her own selfishness, wanting to protect her son, lest this truth leaves him crestfallen, want to keep it all a secret at any cost...Radhaji's behavior is credible here...
It's Madhu whose dilemma is something that makes me want to empathize with her...
We might wonder that Madhu who has always supported what's right should not have such dilemma...but herein the situation is different...
Like in Mukund's case, when she had stood up against mighty RK, it was not that difficult for her...as there was no "dual relationship" coming in there...For her Mukund was someone who was the victim and RK responsible for the crime...both were strangers to her...that time it was her righteousness against RK's ego and that was all...
but this time round the conflict is between her own values and her emotions...here if chooses to do what is right, then she hurts the ones most dear to her...and if chooses otherwise then she becomes a partner in guilt and crime...Even more is both she and RK pledging of not hiding anything from each other...
All said and done, I still want to see the righteous Madhu, no matter what...
