I totally agree that both RK and Sultan are grey characters, both have made mistakes. But RK crosses all bounds. I do find him to be emotionally abusive. At the very least their relationship is toxic. But who knows? If cv's want to redeem him and make Madhu find happiness in this, there is very little that can be done about that.

Mohan Kundra is the only untainted memory with him and he is dearly ATTACHED to his father. Now even that memory is gonna be TAINTED soon. What is RK's fault in all this?
