And I think the online viewership is increasing for the show na... You also mentioned it in this thread and there was one on the MF about their SR epi raking in so many views within a day or sth of the sort... If more and more people take to online viewing, then TRP's are going to fall naturally

Actually the prev week Sat shaadi special TRP's were 3.1 but on Mon it came down to 2.9...

That might be due to the wonderful way that shaadi was done, with so many interruptions. I was disappointed and fuming . I decided to watch it online on Monday if it is worth and did so.. Playing with the sentiments of viewers by promoting something and showing other thing might in the long run do irreparable damage. Once lost interest in the show one become indifferent.With so many hits for SR episode I wait for TRP since they cheated us with that promo for 2 days.

look at the plot clunk here 🤢 not so long ago, Bhai was on a run and hiding from police, now he's daring RK to call the police to RK mansion otherwise he'll tell the whole world the truth of MK 😲 seriously? he's fighting for his mother's "rights" then he's blackmailing RK that he will reveal MK's secret to the world? so he wants RK and family to accept Meera and SECRETLY let her stay with them , this will give Meera her right..and in front of the world, she can be known as anybody's wife, mother or a mental patient? ..the world should not know abt MK and his dark past? this is his revenge? what BS !

I feel the channel always mistreat MB...even when BV used to b no1 and even now a lot of promos r aired of that show...but hardly any promos of MB...
now the CV's should stop fooling people by showing RM precap and bhai epi bcoz u can't fool people longer...I always felt that bhai should have been shown as antagonist right from the beginning...even now his sob story is not working as his pathetic acting can't hold audience interest...and they can't feel his emotions...

@bold: The clunkiness that bhai brings along with him has reached the saturation point...
there is no logic in his story...This is another reason for low TRP's...bcoz this is not a 3hr BW movie where u can take so much illogical stuff and yet forget it...the track runs for months...

Very, very disappointing news about the upcoming track. No wonder the TRPs are going down.

I am one of those viewers who doesn't watch MEIEJ anymore after the wedding track got over. I started watching MEIEJ as it was touted to be an intense romance set in a filmi backdrop. I'm not interested in stories about lost brothers and mothers, or about gangsters.

Sad for VD and DD.

Thanks ClosetRomantic, Zoya and Charu for the TRP news including the daily breakdown. And thank you everyone else, from page 102 -105 for input on potential reasons for the TRP drop.

TRPs:

So as wedding festivities started wrapping up, MB TRPs went down from 2.9 to 2.5. The show is at #8 position vs. #4 the week prior. However, the relative position was not a big drop - there were two #3s, and two #4's last week - and there was only a marginal difference between the #2 and #7 shows. So this week, the difference between the shows just got a little more pronounced.

See chart below for MB weekly trends:

Note: does not take into consideration impact of adding new markets at various points. Size of these markets, viewing patterns, demographics, and level of digitization etc. of those markets would impact TRPs. Also, hard to judge IPL's exact impact.

While the wedding has had the desired positive impact on TRPs the week prior (when TRPS were 2.9), that impact wasn't sustained beyond Monday, the day of the full 7 pheras wedding.

The overall TRPs for the week demonstrate the effect of the viewership of the combined track. As the new track plays out over the next few weeks, we'll be able to judge what the new "steady state" for TRPs for the show is.

And then a comparison to other top 10 shows. Most of the top shows' TRPs increased compared to the week. MB dropped significantly compared to the previous week. It is now at #8, and shares the position with Sapne Suhane and Veera.

The two charts below show: 1) Top 10 shows TRPs (MB is yellow) and 2) TRP increase/drop for those shows, compared to the week prior. The blue bars on the second chart are the ones that did better, the red are the ones that did worse, and the no bars are the ones that were the same.

PS: all my usual caveats apply - this is a rough analysis etc. etc. Feel free to weigh in and point out the holes (I freely admit there's probably some!)

We are supposed to forget R.K. is a self made man too. Watching it as Madhubala season 2 is good for our peace of mind and health.

This shouldn't b the reason for RK to keep bhai at RK mansion...bcoz first he knows MK...If he trusts MK so much then he shouldn't b worried abt bhai's allegations as he feels his father can do no wrong...so he should believe that bhai doesn't have solid proofs and he's lying ...how could bhai prove it... now he can't approach the law,which RK can...he can't come out publicly and he doesn't have solid proofs...
If they show him accept to bhai's demands then it looks highly illogical...

Me too.Illogical family dramas never interest me. With intense romantic story over I think they try to woo a new set of middle aged viewers with this family drama. Instead of a new cast they fitted SUllu. Who knows like KEKTA shows M.K may turn up from the grave to solve this issue😆/ I won't be surprised with the way this track is handled. Sultan claiming his rights in R.K. mansion. How stupid

I am conflicted between laughing at the new promo and getting scared of it. But I did burst out laughing watching it the first time. It reminded me of those sona-chandi chyawanprash ads.

'Lahoo k do rang', 'chingari'...my reaction a big laugh n den a facepalm...
