The way she speaks in English, maybe because it's not her first language, I don't know, it sounds rude. The same can be said about Sanaya Irani at times. Although, I loved her as Khushi. But yeah, back to the topic, she needs to can the attitude and stop using informal words during interviews. It sounds very unprofessional. This is coming from a person whose first language is English.

I'm not a basher. I just happened to observe this about her.

To all those Indians who use the word "senti"...it's sentimental and no one here in North America calls it "senti". We say, sentimental.

Thanks.

I think first of all u urself need to check ur atitude ok.And why are u so much bothered how we Indians speak english language.??...I mean cmmon Inidian people speaks English language very cleary and fluently with each word audible😉 unless like others regions where That Typical " Accent" of "ya ya ya" is 🤢..So u better check ur atitude before telling others😉

You guys call crisps 'chips' as confusing as it is us English speaking persons here in the UK don't object to that. FYI I along with many say 'emosh' short for emotional, will definitely be adding senti to my dictionary now. Actors are talking to news reporters not the Queen that they have to perfect their English to such a high standard for a 5 minute interview.

English as a language survived the past centuries becos of its flexibility in borrowing words from other languages. the std english started is not followed evn in britain (celtic regions). thanx to countries like India which has indianised English, nowadays Indian English is accepted as much as Australian english, American English n etc. so if we indians say 'senti' for sentimental its definitely not wrong. what is wrong n or not found in ur dictionary will find place in oxford n cambridge in few years time. that is best part of english language. other languages which persisted in not borrowing are becoming extinct. the following are a few examples of words borrowed from other languages but now has found place in English. this is FYI (i think sitting in western country may be you are not aware of what is happening in other parts of the world)

pundit, guru, dharma, calico (cloth from calicut), pyjama (urdu word), jungle (from sanskrit), chutney, bungalow, mullingatawny (milagu thanni from tamil), catamaran (tamil), shampoo, pariah (tamil), anaconda (tamil/sinhalese), bandanna, dinghi, juggernaut (sanskrit), loot, khaki (persian), shawl, shampoo, thug, verandah, typhoon

most of the words are borrowed from hindi n the rest i have mentioned d language. and these words are now part of english dictionary. don't tell me these words are not part of it. then may be you are reading some abridged version.

these are only some of the words not complete list. and english has borrowed A LOT from french, greek, latin, czeck and many other languages. language is to communicate. we cannot insult people but as long as we are communicating rightly there is nothing wrong in using any words.

i feel there might be cultural differences as u might not be used to our style of interviewing. but pls do not insult our english language. after seeing some school assignments from England n America i can assure you our school students write better. i worked as online tutor so i know what iam talking about.
