I'm remembering that Ashique pistoli comment to Padmini, he said she sent Sultan (referring to him as a pistol lover...😆). He also knows Padmini would rather have Madhu separate from him. So it seems to me RK fears Padmini will encourage the Sultan relation...and perhaps it seemed to him during holi celebrations Padmini didn't intervene when Madhu was playing holi with Sultan, Sultan also told Madhu with the pistol when he stopped them that her mother was concerned that RK had taken her by force, making it seem to RK that Padmini confessed her fears to Sultan and requested him to go and rescue Madhu.
