@bidz; got rid of the quotes cause they were getting too long.

and i can just turn the argument around and ask the same of you: what makes you so sure that this "connection" isn't one-sided, especially if you consider how out of character Madhu's been behaving in recent episodes. and i've never dismissed Sultan's behavior as lustful, it's definitely his child that's the driving force behind these recent feelings; which also doesn't leave me feeling too satisfied with their 'love story'. and lastly, it was a very pleasant experience conversing with you; and agreed again with the disregard to being impolite over petty issues. haven't seen you in the forum before, but now i look forward to meeting you around pal :D

Good Post Ninand...👏. I don't have a problem with Sultan being a gangster... and even he developing any love interest in Madhu is future.. but so far he don't have any such feeling.. he just adore MAdhu bcos she is the one who gave back Aaryan lost Childhood.. she is the one who save his life.. she is the one who dared to ask him to bring some colors to his life too...

But Still i do have some problem with him... bcos in the beginning it was told that Sultan is very well aware about the pain of Betrayal... and he said that in such an angry and frustrated way... As if he really got betrayed by his wife... at the same time its giving a hint like.. his wife passed away in an accident... then how it can be a betrayal... and in yesterday's epi... he got angry with Madhu's comment and destroyed the table... but didn't care about the music lighter... So he saying its his problem when someone hurting Mdhu and he can't see anyone hurting Madhu even if its her hubby is kind of weird... So to some extend his actions are little bit confusing to me...😕

Like you said @pennu, there isn't love between them , not even on his part.. not yet..

But what is there cannot be defined either.. they are not strangers, yet they are not friends.. In terms of definition , they are nothing.

But why does what exists between them need any definition anyway? It doesn't matter what he had or didnt have with his wife..

It cannot and should not be compared with what he has for Madhu. His feelings got a shock and a jerk with everything she did for them..

Such actions invoke a very strong feeling of gratitude and appreciation in a man like him. then what does a man like him do? He can only think of and offer to 'protect' her from any harm. Had RK been a real husband, a protective one, and had he known that, he would not have had to make such proclamation.

But he got the hint that Madhu may be in trouble.

the point is, what he feels for her is strong and binding, because of how it was invoked in him. It doesn't have to be love... if it is, it doesn't have to be returned.. there is no transaction mandated here, no declaration.. then whats the need of definition or comparison..

He admires her.. and he happens to be a man and she a woman.. that is all.

People already seeing a love angle between Madhu and Sultan is confusing me. I haven't seen it so far and I am watching every episode.

For Sultan I think Madhu was just like an angel who came into their life for some time and changed their life in some way. His thinking, how he takes the life. Madhu has make him understand intentionally or unintentionally that there is humanity left in this world still. Madhu gave two beautiful days for Aryan to live his childhood, which makes Sultan too happy after seeing his son happy and enjoying those two days.

He has been repeatedly thanking Madhu and her family for that. We have seen that. He is just trying to return the favour in his own way. And I don;t think love has anything to do with this. Atleast he has not realized it yet even if there is any. So we cannot say whatever he is doing it is because he is falling for her.

He is still missing his wife very much and so far we don;t know what happened to her and looking at what they have shown I kind of feel he blames himself to some extent for what happened to his wife.

I am loving Sultan character and I don't think his character is poorly sketched at all infact I think it is very strong and well sketched so far and maybe better than even RK & Madhu. Those two characters are more difficult to understand now and inconsistent too.

Though I am not rooting Sulbala to happen yet because I feel there is a lot to come about Sultan character in the coming days, nor I am in for Rishbala now after what happened. Just going with the flow.

And people not liking him being a gangster, I wonder if he was introduced as a business tycoon who is a well known producer in BW, how many would have been there to support. I'm sure reaction would be same, because the dislike for the character has nothing to do with Sultan's profession.

It is just that is the only think they can pick about in Sultan character and lot of people are pissed off with the fact even after introducing him as an antagonist he is being shown as a much better person than the hero, with a good heart, decently dressed, hot body, good dialogues, interesting personality, and to make it worse for them more, the actor seems to have had a strong screen presence.

Very nicely put. :-) Sorry aint stalking u, just happened to look up this thread. 😆😆:-) Anyway, just to confirm this, Avi in his interview when he points the gun at RK scene said that he was just doing it for humanity's sake. That he did not yet know if he even ever fall for Mdhu or if Madhu would fall for him. So, as far as the char is concerned, that's what he thinks his motive is, Humanity for some one who has been kind to him,consciously anyway.

And I seriously don't think he is in love with Madhu yet. May be some latent attraction, but it has more to with her personality more than anything else.
It is people on this forum who is seeing things mroe than even the actors who is playing the characters. Even they were not even briefed about any love angle then how can they even portray that. But still people see it, maybe there is much more chemistry between Sultan and Madhu, which even people who are not liking them also cannot ignore.

Did U notice when Madhu was giving the reason to chawl people and at the end she said "kuch soachkar bghwan ne dil banaya hoga na, baavne banai hogi" there Sultan looks at Madhu kind of confused and maybe that is where the realization hits him, there is still humanity left in this world and the person who make him realize that was Madhu. All those days of his life some 20 years or more, he thinks only power can make anyone survive in this world and that is what he has been using to survive. And Madhu kind of changed the way he was seeing the world and its people to some extent. That day he comes to know how Paddy was protected and accepted by the chawl people.
