Hello hello - glad to find all of you here - hopefully you don't report your own chat thread and shut it down because it would be fun to discuss some of this stuff and hopefully gain an understanding. I'm willing to be educated about where you're coming from. I'm really curious - so it would be good if you don't go about abusing the report button :).

So tell me all you awesome girls - why what I wished for Chakku was wrong? I thought she adored RK. So I was wishing for a very pleasant outcome for her. And all the stuff that I wrote - it was stuff that RK has actually done on the show - I didn't make stuff up.

If RK is not good enough for Chakku, why is he good enough for Madhu? Yeh double standards kyon bhai? 😆

Let me clarify that I have nothing against something like this being shown in a fictional show. A screenplay writer should have enough creative licence to push the boundaries for what gets shown - otherwise we'd never move beyond status quo.

However, what does bother me is this: the justifications extended for RK being a violent, abusive man

Some of the stuff that I've read on this forum makes me blood run cold. Never have I seen a bunch of women gather and with great glee go over their enjoyment of the abuse of a woman - and it's very hard not to conclude that the male lead's hotness has a lot to do with it.

What's also baffling is that all of you seem to know that what RK is doing is indefensible. You were so disturbed by what I wrote (in jest) and yet you seem to think that when it concerns someone else, then a different set of standards apply.

This is inconsistent right?

Secondly, try & understand the difference between REAL & REEL. A fight over a fictional character makes u wanna wish such things for a REAL person...wowww !!!!! how JOBLESS can some ppl be...👏...anyways, let RK be with madhu...as for Chakku...please of all the ppl...U r NOT even the last person on this planet who needs to get worried !!!!!!! Kindly mind ur own business.

First things first...learn to differentiate between REEL and REAL.

Secondly and most importantly...IF is for discussing the show and not anyone's life and choices. Chakku has not given anyone of you the permission to discuss her life. Its not open for public discussion. GET THAT CLEAR ONCE AND FOR ALL. You can keep all your well wishes for yourself...Chakku is not in need of any of it.

Those rules really mean very little because for every thread in this forum, the forum rules apply. Which means that anyone who wishes to comment can comment. If you guys do wish to have a bit more privacy (mind you only a bit more because even there these rules apply) you can move this discussion to the Chat Club forum.

I do understand the difference between Real and Reel. I don't understand how someone can be so enamoured of a fictional character as to justify the violence that he's inflicting. Don't tell me that someone who condemns violence against women in real life can be so approving of violence by a fictional character. That kind of cognitive dissonance doesn't really exist.

If you support and try to justify violence by a fictional character, you're probably also thinking that such violence can be justified in real life too.

Firstly, you should have read the rules, that this is a MEMBERS ONLY thread. And still you commented here, which only makes us feel that you are way too obsessed with us and RK. I wish you get well soon.

Secondly, extremist and moral policing thoughts are not welcome on this thread. We watch the show for entertainment and discuss it from entertainment POV only. We are not here to discuss social, moral and ethical issues pertaining to the show.

So, kindly look for other places in the forum where your sermonizing and moralizing thoughts would be welcomed.

As I stated above - I do. I don't know anything about Chakku's personal life or her choices. I merely based my good wishes for her on what she writes in the forum. Based on what she writes, I wrote something for her. Something completely non-abusive, non-threatening and completely consistent with everything she writes in the forum.

I have not tried to dig into her personal life - nor do I wish to.

And again, you cannot prevent me from commenting here. Every thread in the main forum is open to comment by anyone. That's just how it goes - sorry!
