I don't think he should be trusted yet. Just because we see flaskbacks doesn't say anything. He never said he loves her nor said it to himself. He never apologized because his ego is too large. As Madhu said before "You never know when he is acting and when he is not".

Madhu is not getting any such reason from him as to why he should be forgiven.
