Finally my much awaited RK-Sultan's love story kickstarted today😆

And lo, this RK is drunk and is telling Sultan his so-called dukhiyari story... To top it all, he is calling him sadakchaap as well😆

Sultan will think miya-biwi jab shuru hote hain, toh rukne ka naam hi nahi lete!!!! Kaise kaate honge saath mein apne din!!!

Absolutely right! He must be very confused as to whether Madhu was unable to bear RK's bakwaas anymore or RK was more fed up with her constant lectures! Anyway Ram Milaye Jodi, bas mujhe mere Bhujang ke paas le jaao!

The Prologue to Face-Off between RK and Sultan. They meet but RK is not in his senses.

Its downward spiral for RK the way it had been before he met Madhu. It was aimless existence then and now its obsessive interest in Madhu. Will death be a solution to his problems ? Could be. Very Possible. Can he end his life. He can if you ask me. Nothing to lose, nothing to gain there. As simple as that. His mother will be pained. And who else will be pained ? All the others can live. Life is ephemeral and if it doesn't make any sense, we can end it...just that there should be no desire left in us to live, there should be courage to do it...but Nope ...searching for accidental death is not done. RK !!! ...not done...you driving drunk on lone roads at night...not done. Better idea...Take a gun and shoot your brains like Hemingway...or pop a whole bottle of pills like Monroe or drinks like Guru Dutta ...or I don't have suicide ideas. One can just hope to get accidental death like Divya Bharti and Heath Ledger. RK you might just wish it...but real man should be able to explore all possibilities and then end his life...It takes guts if you ask me.

He does understand though...and asks logical questions still...yes what would have been the consequences had he not done drunk driving and had hit Mukund...Interesting though...

The man refuses to stay away from Madhu. He needs to enter her life again and again. And why ? He calls it Destiny. Fate. I liked that. Well lived that much life atleast to understand it. He says, no one comes and goes in and out of life just like that...Fate governs it and everyone needs to adjust their appointment calender. Did Madhu and Padmini get it ? They seemed to need it. But did they understand ? No. That's life ...its difficult to understand.

And the same wise guy on his return path, meets up RK. Destiny right ? He was supposed to meet him. Just that he doesn't know if he is supposed to kill him or drop him at home.

Bermuda Triangle or the Devil's Triangle.

Madhu is already messed up between Sultan and RK. RK is messed up between zombie two eyed man and Madhu. Now Sultan is getting messed up between Madhu and RK. His visit to Madhu was not necessary except the fact that it led him to meet RK. Whose ship is going to sink between the three. Something seriously needs to get capsized in those dangerous currents.

What did I like about today's episode ?

It was gripping drama.
The fear felt by two women when they were plagued by a man over phone. a man whom they knew and then they heard the thumping knock at the door. Loved that fear on their faces. They needed that big time...Hauslon Se Veer hai Jo Dono. A reminder for them that they need to chant that mantra 24x7...unfortunately they forgot.
That RK stopped calling Madhu when he got the hint she will not answer him and instead calls Padmini's phone. Well that shows he was serious about getting the number rather than just keep quiet.

What I did not like about today's episode ?

The Precap...the mother daughter hug and their idealistic sense of Atma Samman and the old mother asking her young daugher...now go and return the money...ja uske mooh maar aa. What is that called..."Aag mein Ghee daalna"
Sultan comes to the Chawl totally unsecured, and no one at the Chawl sees him. Was it 9 PM or 10 PM India time ? Was it midnight ? Still mother-daughter did not have food ? Where is Trishna now ? Conveniently sent off to Timbuctoo ?!!!!

What am I not liking ?

If families members get involved, if external people get involved...where is this going ? Its like the Phase I period. Madhu supported by family fuelled by them...Cannot talk much as it shall become speculation.

Its like Khandaan...and much later the Doordarshan Soap Junoon serial...With mighty starcast such as Mangal Dhillon, Radha Seth, Shashi Puri, Tom Alter, Kitu Gidwaani, Vijayendra Ghatge...you take their name and they were there...and what was ailing then all...JUNOON...never ending...never satisfied...one after the other...UNSTOPPABLE. My brain got messed up in between and I started getting confused, why was X after Y and eventually I bid adieu.

I'm not going to write a complete take. But RK's had a very nice heart to heart with Sultan. That Madhu destroyed him without lifting a finger. It is called killing someone with kindness and poetic justice in the truest sense. RK can only find strangers to connect with since he lost Madhu. Lol! I still didn't get how he could Kya mera pyaar kamzor tha? RK r u taking drug along with booze too. Your love was fake forget weak. Again unless he lost himself in love and after the Ballu incident woke up again. For reasons we have already discussed.

There were two times I felt the pressing weight of danger today - first when the two women alone in the crawl were subjected to repeated harassing phone calls from a drunk RK while there were ominous bangs on the door, and second when Sultan reached for his gun menacingly while a sozzled RK spouted drivel in his back seat. Both scenes were superbly shot and enacted. The first is a reality for so many families, and the second is full of foreboding.

This serial is all about the various avatars of RK really. Madhubala is just a mirror to reflect the fruits of his actions to him. Love him or hate him, you cannot ignore this guy. And the more he talks, the enigmatic he becomes.

Was it the drunk Rishu or the egomaniac RK who realized he loved Madhu today? Will he even remember what he was saying when he sobers up tomorrow? Why does he love Newton Uncle so much - perhaps he majored in Physics in college (would make him the best educated superstar in our country)? Questions, questions, no answers!

I enjoyed the epi though, much more than yesterday's. Shades of fear, anger, frustration written across then faces ofall the characters today. Each one of them is locked in a web of frustration and questions right now, not knowing the way forward - RK, Madhu, Bittuji, Radha, even Padmini. The only person who remains sane is Sultan, whose world is all black and white - its always either his way or the highway. But our brave heroine is messing with his brain already and I won't be surprised if he takes to drink soon, after one of her parenting or anti-goodagiri bhaashans!

Why should she even think along those lines? I see no future and for someone as principled as Madhu, it's an impossible match. Sultan might reform and give up his gangster ways, but he will be locked up for a long time ... so no chance of that happening.

I think Sultan is here to create and then solve differences between Madhu-Rk ... and his tenure will be a big longer, maybe, some months.

Yes, really hard to believe that his role can be anything other than someone who enables the Madhu/RK relationship to move forward. Anything else is unrealistic. Yes, maybe he will fall for her, but it will probably be shown as one-sided only.
