Why would you want there to be an underlying 'good' reason?. That would make it similar to every other show. Boring --dont you think?

As for him accepting God and his mother--- these are beings that he knows should be revered in any social or religious scale and they are suppose to be way above him.-- So no threat to ego. Madhu is just another human like him and therefore has no right to be at par level with him.

As for the damage that Deepali did to his ego in the past--- he doesnt care anymore. It is of no importance to him , or rather her opinion of him is absolutely dismissable compared to his madhu , his love , that he so wants to deny.

Poor confused RK. I love the way this show is shaping up and I love feeling sorry for the leads!

I think ST never promised us the "anti climax" of this big twist..the big twist was of course RK's revenge...n they played it out pretty well..👏

it's plain logic (frm what i understood so far & frm discussing it out with my friends) that along with his king size ego, his problem is that he's not familiar with the concept of "love" ..love for him is betrayal...betrayal by his parents, by Dips..he doesn't believe in love, simple as that..he said the same in the chawl..that love shuv looks good only in movies, it doesn't happen in real life...he wanted to take revenge from Madhu & he did it..in the process, he fell in his own trap he fell in love with Madhu bec. he never came across a person as warm , affectionate & selfless as her in his entire life...someone who's equal to him... i don't know when he realized that he's falling for her...may be that day in the village when she surrendered herself to him...but how can he fall in love with his enemy? the dilemma which he's facing now, he was facing at that time also when he was playing his prem game...that's why everyone here is saying that his ego stops him from accepting that he loves Madhu...he has to let go of his ego if he wants to love Madhu..his ego is his defense mechanism...survival instinct..he will turn weak the moment he lets go off his ego...he doesn't want that to happen..he's battling out his feelings but Madhu's presence is making it worse for him to either let go or accept it...hence he has diverted all his attention to drive Madhu away from him...

as for Dips, why he didn't take revenge from her?? ..well he never forgave her , he gets sadistic pleasure by watching her pathetic state, which she herself chose to be in , by rejecting him 😆 gives him an ego boost...
