I have had one question from the epi which keeps bothering me, even it is a small one. Why does RK carefully wrap Madhu's dupatta ( a sign of protective caring) and then thrust her out of the studio to walk home alone? (taking chance that she might be attacked in the night walking by herself - very unsafe!) It seems as though, on the one hand, he protects her izzat and then, on the other, he puts her out to the wolves.

  1. He asked her to shut up and get out. She refused.
  2. He wanted her out of his sight at any cost.
  3. So he picked up her things lying on the floor, her bag and her dupatta. If he just gives them she will not take it. So he forcibly with lot of momentum thrusts the bag in her hands, covers her hand with dupatta, because he tore it unintentionally and drags her to shut her out of his sight.
  4. Why he is not worried of her being in the dark ? in your words, why left to wolves...Honestly wasn't her anger about his mixed signals ? What right now he had to show concern when he broke her heart so bad ? So he is letting her go like she was ready to go. The power supply was gone within the studio. Bittuji no way could have switched off the light of the streets outside. She could go home easily the way she wanted. Its Mumbai and not Delhi moreover. People can home even at night.
  5. And lastly, RK hitting his hand...was his frustration at his own stupidity and his lack of control on his emotions. Until Madhu said all of that on his face, he himself was not realizing how much unnecessary interest and concern he was showing.

This is all separate from the challenge that he has with Madhu. The above behaviour was not even about the slap.

I loved this poster👏. I also loved this few seconds of glaring eye lock between them. though RK knew he is going to take his revenge for the 5th slap (there should be an emoticon for hitting one's forehead😆),Madhu also knew he was irritated with her, but she scored the night before👏. And then, there is that slight elbow touch😉

Loved this poster Zorica. I am going to be honest and say that it was RK who took the center stage for me in this poster. Can the guy get any more handsome and dashing than this? OK! Please excuse me, I am having a phangurl moment here 😳

Thank you very much for this reply! I do understand what you are saying, but it still seems like a very big risk to me. I see that not every place would be like Delhi (actually, there it is a bit tricky in the daytime bhi ), but still it is hard for me to imagine a man (even RK - he is revengeful, but not a complete blackheart) knowingly putting a woman out into the night to go through the streets alone in the darkness. Even the night Madhu wandered out after he humiliated her so badly - when she wandered alone to the studio - he searched after her frantically, knowing something could happen.

At this point I am having trouble trying to analyse what I am seeing in the epis not because I feel they are just filler or are just so much standard drama - I literally am having difficulty to make sense of the whole of it - like when you cannot perceive an artwork until you back away many paces and see it from a distance. Or perhaps it might be better compared to the scientific theory which, though evidently true, cannot be proven for fifty years until someone makes an auspicious mistake in the laboratory. Then everyone's eyes light up and they say, "Yes! If only we'd had this bit of proof earlier the whole phenomenon would have made perfect sense! " That is what I feel I am missing in understanding the storyline - that one basic piece of evidence that will render the behaviour of the characters understandable. Without it, I always feel slightly trapped in the theatre of the absurd.

@bold

Answer me.

  • Did Madhu expect RK to drop her at home when she stayed in the studio after the pack-up ?
  • If for any reason Madhu was stuck in the studio with RK not being there, would she have not walked home all alone?

You negate the concept of working woman by having a man escort her home. Lot of working woman have to go home all alone after work.

As for RK searching for her at previous time. He had the definite knowledge that he had hurt her so much that she may do anything to herself. And he had every right to search for her.
As for RK leaving her to go now ...That is what Madhu wanted and he gave it to her. And how can he even escort her now ? What right he has ?

Bhakti you just confuse me with your question...I don't know what I am missing.

Thought I would reply to this.
In this Instance she was not alone on the roads , if you have noticed there were other girls walking on the road...it was just that studio lights were off, I guess it was not that late in the night...

Nahi yaara - please don't misunderstand I am not casting any aspersions on working women! I undertand that many women must make their ways alone in the world, both literally and figuratively. I was just saying that, from RK's side, it seemed to me a strange behaviour.

I am not saying Madhu would necessarily have welcomed it.

Just that, trying to put myself into RK's mind, it did not seem consistent to me with his character, capricious as it may be, to put her out there in the darkness and not even try to find out whether she made it home. No...under "normal" circumstances, she would certainly not have expected him to take her home, nor to ensure her safety. But I was not thinking from her point of view, but from his. It is not really a matter of his haq, which he freely relinquished, but of decency, which he seems not to have relinquished, at least entirely.

I am in no way implying that women cannot go home on their own. I am only asking whether a man who would not unwrap a shawl nor tolerate the sounds of weeping would be likely to release an upset and vulnerable person into an uncertain night without a second look.

IMO a man is more honorable when he is honest. RK consciously projected himself as a person capable of hurting Madhu. So he has to keep presenting that facet to her and us, no matter how much it cuts him to not take care of her.

That gesture of him , his hand hitting the door...that was his frustration of him not being able to take care of her, losing the right to take care of her...that gesture was for soft-hearted people like you gentlewoman who expect that trait in their gentleman. See the CVs took care of TRP figures with that gesture of him.

As for me, he would still be known to me as the concerned person in that moment even if he had not punched his hand into the door.

i understand Bhakti what you're trying to say...i have stopped figuring out the why's a long back..bec. in these 2 weeks, we were not presented with satisfactory answers related to RK's behavior..i'll try putting it down

he uses his ex GF Dips(who ditched him) to make his ex biwi jealous (who he took revenge from, for the 4 slaps)...2 days back, he specifically told her that ONLY HE has the right to insult his ex biwi..and it's not that he "plan" dips entry after last night encounter..he planned it on day 1 (head massage day).

he broke her heart in the most cruelest way & was laughing at her plight later on, but got emotional hearing her sobbing in the other room? what a contrast ! 😲 one moment he's planning to humiliate her by making her his duplicate, touching her against her wish, making her wear that dress, the next moment he's melted by her tears , as if he didn't know Madhu will feel bad about it?

last night, when he was breaking the furniture of his room, what was the precise reason? 😆 bec. Madhu slapped him again? bec. he cud not stop showing concern for her? bec. he has no right on her as she said?? bec. he didn't want his feelings to be exposed but he did? bec. he tore off her sleeve & gave her a wrong impression or she got a wrong impression n he was only trying to help her out? bec. Madhu is not quitting? bec. all his attempts to humiliate her turn futile ? ya plain and simple, he was not getting talli 😕

however, him throwing her out of the studio was pretty much natural 😆 that's what she wanted...tht he should leave her alone...
