Because when they first appeared at the court the next morning initially RK was holding her dupatta only then when they squeezed between two cars as they were walking towards the court at the press, Madhu held his hand, then immediately after they came out of the squeeze of the two cars, RK's hand was free of both dupatta and Madhu's hand.

Also when they were standing by the stairs waiting for Padmini, when Padmini was walking towards them and the court they showed a back view of her and RK and Radhaji were on the top step and Madhu, Trish and Shammo were on the bottom steps, then the after scenes of just them RK gritting his teeth they showed RK and Shammo in the front steps and Madhu and the rest of the women behind, which it should have been protecting them from the press and police as they were bringing Padmini.

So the answer is yes he held her hand for a brief period between the two cars as they squeezed through to walk to the court.
