This is about some of the labels all of the characters in our show have stuck on them..starting madhu to be a damsel in distress or abla naari from rk being the gulshan grover type villain . 😎😆
Just wanted to say my two cents about it. About the damsels marrying disaster causers...it is an endless debate. people love to either sympathise with the "damsel" , or love to understand the "disastrous causer" ...i have different theory. as usual. before coming to the masochism part , what happened to shows of feminism in the form of shows like bairi piya? it was a beautiful show but they just had to make the unjust thakur the hero later on , and i wonder why. Lol. Because everybody has hopes to see the light inside a body of apparent endless darkness and disgust? Which brings me to the question ; aren't these terms just labels , that also judgmental labels? What if the "damsel" is actually the spine of her family , but just cause her heart is the most visible asset about her character and it is incredibly vulnerable , she is conveniently a damsel? All of us are helpless at one point, even Trishnaa was , and RK always was, but just cause rk's grey shades are a sign of his death of innocence and Trishnaa is a grey character ; both are not "damsels" , but Madhu is because she is apparently good hearted and helpless like everyone is? Before labeling characters , aren't we supposed to understand the characters , forget about the concept of the show. Same with RK.. he is extraneously dominating but much more vulnerable and helpless than Madhu ever was , and yet he is the disaster causer? Get this straight. In every good girl and bad boy story , the good girl is actually grey with her own flaws , and her own flows of faults which is absolutely understandable , as she is human , not a friggin doll , and behind every "bad boy" , there is a very broken , emotional and vulnerable person crying inside that apparent mask of heartlessness every single day , make it seconds. Why do they attract? Cause the greyness in good girls become activated in the presence of "bad boys" , and if the attraction factor is activated , the vulnerable side of bad boys get revealed in front of the "good girl" as well . RishBaala are a classic example of that . In the beginning , Madhu used to become this tigress , with grey shades of temper and aggressive spontaneity , and RK's emotional side only was revealed to Madhu. It always fits . Labels are easy. Strip them and look deep into them , and there is so much more than the label that everyone sees them to be. Sorry for my usual bhaashan. :D
RK AND MADHU have been labelled in this forum and debated against each other as characters probably ever since they were introduced for the reason i attempted to finally break that , even if i know it won't succeed but still . 😆 The thing is both are not perfect because both are humans , but whatever they are , they are meant for each other . And that is all that matters :) Edited by Escape.My.Love. - 12 years ago
