I agree with you about Madhu having to endure a lot of tests. BUT you have to think about how complex RK's character is. He tries to shut down any emotional attachment to people who get close to him because he doesn't want to get hurt again. He's only testing Madhu because he's been betrayed over and over again by the people who he thought loved him but ended up hurting him instead. Plus Deepali-Vamp poisoned RK's mind by telling him how Madhu is using him. So RK has doubts in his mind about his biwi's actions towards him. This is probably why RK is testing Madhu's love for him! So sad but true!
