@Shri
I think when RK saw Madhu the first time on the balcony he realized he had found his true muse and he didnt need to search anymore. lol great take though I loved it.

Soundarya,

Thank you so much. Your validation towards my 2nd take over the episode, now puts everything in perspective. Then the creatives may slowly start taking the story towards what it was to be originally.

I am now home. Had my dinner and now online. The entire time of my commute home, I was getting so thrilled at what I discovered today...the artist RK. You know what towards that tug at my heart, I rate this episode A. I am tempted to give A+, but NO, there is a drama is continuing into Monday...who knows what holds us for on that day.

I discovered two things in the episode:
1) RK the man -
In the earlier episodes, as the sculptor, he seemed formidable man with talents but then that hate passion for Madhu was there and also in the bike scene, he was super arrogant. So he seemed a man of the other world. But today, it was like I was seeing a man, happy in his creative energy and shows us how goes deep into things like why you see a man from the sieve in a KC - the woman's festival. Who would have thought RK knows that !

2) Rishbala - Love or Passion
I was very much confused watching them, whether I was seeing love or passion. When it was becoming love and when it becoming passion, we never know, as if it is interspersed throughout their interaction. It was like Madhu holds up herself like Love but sees him with eyes full of Passion. And RK holds up like Passion but there is lot of Love in his eyes when he looks at her (here in the studio...not to be confused with his home).

And lastly, thank you your response on Episode 140 thread towards my rituals...fighting when forced to follow...where you explained through your husband and your coordination around it. I don't believe any ritual where a Pandit is involved as I do not feel that the Pandit is going to take me closer to God. Instead, I would like to invoke God in my own way. That;s my belief and hence against established religion's ritualistic traditions. Earlier in life had fights with Mom...now all's that ended. 😊

Now I am gonna read all the reviews.

@Peach - You said "The kiss is not going to happen because most probably my hero would arrive to interrupt them".

I am assuming that you are talking about Bittuji here 😆. I don't know about that because Bittuji seems to be a quick learner and has already learned how to interpret his Chief's looks. So, even if he happens to be there accidentally which I doubt he will be, he will choose to go on another search looking for another lamp post but definitely will not interrupt them 😃.

@bhakti
Do you believe that RK is playing a game with Madhu and this was an act in the literal sense.

Wah SD - I have just finished reading your second installment (below...as i have reserved too soon!😆) and I just loved all your thoughts there. It got me thinking a lot about the many different facets people have, so much so that their public and private presentations of self are often quite different. In fact, there are so many shades to each person that when we know someone, even ourselves, I sometimes wonder if we ever really know the whole truth.

It is perfectly believable to me that RK could have all these different facets. I wouldn't even ascribe the cause to his many wounds necessarily, although they certainly add texture to the tabula of his personality. But it goes to reason that he would show one aspect at the studio, where his creative comfort level is at its zenith, and an entirely different one at home, where he has his hackles raised at all times. Yes, he exerts power in both arenas, but in the first it is the power of the god in his creative element, in the second it is the power of the righteously angry breadwinner. The first allows for emotional scope, the second only for emotional diminishment.

I think there is a certain reflexivity on the part of the creatives in their portrayal of RK. It is interesting to have writers writing about the very industry in which they find themselves enmeshed. Some of RK's angst may be a cry from their own hearts, just filtered through an ideal. Madhu, while also textured and layered, is a more typical soap character, I think. It will be interesting to see what they give her once she too is involved in the industry.

On the same note, I think RK's bipolarity is an interesting twist on the part of the creatives, as it is a famously common condition among the artistically talented. I felt such sympathy for your sister as you described her - the exhaustion her deep creativity had caused her. I do not have the good fortune to be gifted with that level of artistic insight, but have certainly known some whose brilliant creations are matched only by their stunning swings of mood. They are both admirable and piteous - qualities which I think could easily be said to describe RK.

As to the epi (I know I will get eggs and tomatoes for straying so far above - sorry ladies!) I wonder if it wasn't these facets of Rk which caused the CV's to place his KC apology at the studio. It is a liminal space for this story, both symbolically and actually apart from reality. Anything can happen there, so it is freeing for those who are entangled on the outside. I thought they were clever to have it be so ambiguous - even here in the thread there is indecision about whether this was a romantic coup or a manipulative stratagem. For those who love the love track, it was such a relief. For those who perhaps have the slightly more cynical eye, it was an interesting twist. I thought that was a nice blend.

Well...hope you don't mind my ramblings everyone! I am a little sleep deprived!😕😆

Thanks so much, SD, for PMs. So much appreciated!😊

Bhakti,

👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
That's how much I liked your post. Now you have nicely worded what I was feeling when thinking on my discoveries towards the episode.

It was not a ramble...very succintly you covered everything, Look at my bolded lines. Simply super. While I was emotionally feeling all that, I had not yet decided to word them. But you did, which means second validation for today. So I was not delusional at all.

That's why one should watch episode in savouring fashion and not in consuming manner. We are able to feel the creative energy more. I don't know why but i was like...no forget the rishbala romance, just watch them and see what you find there...and so I watched in mute, not wanting to listen...and it worked.

Excellent analysis and add on towards my ramble. Yes, I had rambled, not you. Thank you.

I agree with the muse analogy you guys are making too...it's part of that obsessive trait he has...he has been obsessed with her for good or bad since the moment he's met her.

What we saw today was a very different side of RK...an RK in love but still showing his affection in his own RK-ish ways...

I think one of the things that made the most impact on me today was how they highlighted that wondrous quality of cinema...at it's very basic, it's supposed to transport you into another land...especially Hindi cinema is all about the larger than life sets, the flowers, the stars, the twinkling lights...the way they put in an old transistor playing an old black and white movie song...they brought this old world charm to it all...THAT atmosphere was beautifully created today to make the scene visually very appealing too along with all the good dialogue and direction.

In that sense, only this show has that luxury to use all these elements like this and get away with it cuz it FITS the story...the character background...in most other shows, it wouldn't work and would be out of place...but here they've got that entire basis...the grandiose film set, the eccentric movie star, the props, the dialogues...and today it all fit the story and scene very well.

I was expecting someone to point why sudden shift of furious RK to sane RK ?? But, I guess I am the only one walking with the forced development of another KC despite the romanticism shown.

If possible, can someone read my review on Page 2, hoping to fill the gap I felt today in the plot.

I felt that too that's why my basic take today was omg what just happened no one explained why RK got so romantic all the sudden while he has been trying his best to distance himself from her in the past few weeks. What got into him all the sudden? So far they have had a perfect slow pace in the development but this was just out of the blue????

I think the only thing they are being ambiguous about currently is whether RK himself is aware of the fact that he's in love or not...I didn't find anything manipulative about what he did today at all...yes he has not declared his love for her...but his actions have always expressed his feelings more than his words...he is a man who struggles with conveying his genuine feelings through words...he was unable to say a sorry today despite trying twice...the most you could get out of him was a please.

What he did with creating that ambience today, the lights, the theatrics of doing a KC RK-style...again that's part of his personality...he wanted to do something to make it up to her but he did it in his own style...in the way and setting he's most comfortable with...in a studio with the props of the film world.

I think currently RK is pretty much getting carried away in his own feelings without consciously realizing to what extent...and that is what the precap will be a result of too as far as I can see but obviously he'll stop at the last minute and probably get spooked by just how carried away he got...thus paving way for his realization and eventual confession to her.
