'RK-Madhu, jealousy and the latest third angle (jealousy vis-a-vis RK and a third angle vis-a-vis Madhu)'.
Admitting at the outset that I loved Avinesh as 'Kabir' in "Chhal".😳😆 It's a different matter that the story there went way offkilter towards the end.😕But I do *not* want him around the RK-Madhu pairing in any shade, positive or negative. I would also not have wanted any actor I *liked* in such a role vis-a-vis the Kabir-Aditi pairing.
Pairings we love should not have actors we like as third angle. It makes for unpleasantness - because there's no scope for conflict. I want the pairing preserved. The actor can always get another role.
Third angles - at least in Hindi serials - are generally never good for any pairing. However differently or well it's handled, everything soon descends into the absolute realm of cliche. TRPs never permit anything else.
And one keeps reading about jealousy helping RK and Madhu draw closer.
But RK's character does not seem to be the type to draw closer through jealousy or displeasure.
He tends to distance himself if he feels he is being made insecure, whether or not it was intended by the other person.
If he feels the other person is prioritizing someone else, he estranges himself or strikes out to hurt or both.
This is not going to be an ego battle that Madhu will win if she tries to play hard-to-get.
If her attention strays or he starts to feel jealousy, his past experience with Dips will be the spectre at his side eating away at his trust in Madhu.
The more Madhu gives in absolutely to her feelings, the more RK is completely immersed in their relationship.
There are so many points that would be playful or sweetly teasing between a couple in marriage and/or romance, and almost all of those are potential landmines for Madhu in establishing her relationship with RK, given the number of bad memories and absolute erosion of regard for most aspects of marriage and relationships that Radha and Dipali have caused in him.
If RK feels a third angle is making advances towards Madhu (even without her reciprocating), the indeterminate effect it will have on his tenderness towards Madhu is a horrid downside so early in the relationship.
This is not the sort of story in which Madhu would get an ego-boost from her guy going wild with jealousy.
RK's mild version of jealousy was at the party, when he thought Madhu had come to the party at Radha's telling rather than his own.
It reduced Madhu from his 'beautiful wife' that he proudly went around introducing to each guest directly to waitress.
That was his jealousy with his *mother* as the third angle.
I do not want to see what his reaction will be if his jealousy is provoked with a potentially - even remotely - romantic third angle, negative or not, antagonist or not.
Madhu's loyalty and devotion get her the right to bully him, scold him, be irate or tease him.
Madhu as someone else's focus would destroy the growing tenderness of RK's focus on her.
And as someone who was depressed with the waitress stint, I do *not* want to see the hurt she may suffer from any fresh bout of jealousy he may feel about her with another guy in the picture.
This is a relationship in which jealousy is likely to be a corrosive rather than a building agent, and wish to God the CVs had not decided to bring up a third angle when the two basic angles of the relationship are still a long way from being stably bonded to each other.

I loved the way you have analysed here and I must admit I never thought that way but surely whatever CVs do, I am sure the effect wanted would be to bring RK closer to MB but whether they do that in a good way or ina the boring cliched manner..we will know soon enough

@leela, my concern about the third lead is similar to that of yours.
I understand that the CVs are under tremendous pressure to keep the viewers entertained, mantaining the popularity of the show and keep the trps rolling. It is a show that runs 5 days a week, and hence they need to come up with new tracks to keep the viewers glued to the show.Having said that, I feel that the introduction of the third lead at this stage is alittle rushed. Rk and Madhu's lovestory is still at the budding stage ( RK has not even confessed his love for Madhu). They should have worked a little more on their relationship. Also the side chatacters have totally been wasted.Kukku and Sikky's character had lot of potential. Kukku, Sikki and RK's relation have not been explored at all. Kukkuji has been reduced to an extra in the show...even Patil has more dilogues and screenspace than him. After the father and son's grand entry they fizzled to the background.Really sad to see how these actors have been totally wasted. Also there was a lot of potential in Trishna-Madhu-RK relation, which they could have used in the show.It will be interesting to see how the third lead is introduced and his equation with the two main characters. My guess is, he will be the passport to Madhu's entry to the flim industry (he might probably be a dir or producer or both)Lets see how the story unfolds...

cvs failed with trishna, deepali, kukku n sikki characters. for sometime managed with shammu . rishbala doesn't need cupid to bring them closer at this time. but seems cvs r confused abt wat they wrote n continuity of it. failed even at tracks. drag fest since ganapati track . when article of rk confession n marriage came seemed it rushed the rishbala love story. so have to see where the new entry enters n wat his character n this track about.
cvs failed to click other characters n tracks to keep show running. seems they didn't plan for stipulated time, they just want to show run for long so for this rishbala story is getting compromise. so cvs trying all tested formulas to keep show running long.by seeing past records hope this new track clicks n interesting than kitchen politics n rishbala story doesn't get spoiled in btw.. lets see

Leela, You have echoed my heart-felt emotions when it comes to live triangles... For me, they tarnish the beautiful love story of the leads... Its like a daag on their ls...Sigh...I completely agree with every argument you made with regards to RK's character👍🏼I do NOT want to see a jealous RK...👏,etc,etcBut putting all that aside, we must all remember that MEIEJ is Madhu's story, journey to stardom... So every new angle and new plot would have Madhu at the focus...Saree track: Dipz wanted to irk RK... RK was the target, Madhu was the mohraMalik's attack on RK: Again RK was the target but Madhu was the focus/ reason for the attackSo when a new plot is introduced, it should have Madhu in focus...I actually like @Shri's idea or suggestion about Avinesh being RK's personal/professional rival... So using her idea... RK might be the target, but Madhu is the Mohra...So this might be the case of hitting RK where it hurts the most... We saw how he went on a bottle-breaking spree when she questioned his parvarish... We saw how he reacted when those photographs were published... It was a hit in his gut... His father was the only person in his life who could evoke such strong reactions...Madhu is becoming/ has nearly become that person, who when attacked, RK would unleash his junoon and fire...So with Avi's entry, the makers might actually be opening a plethora of layers to RK's character...Coming to the party incident that you mentioned, he was so enraged at the fact that she had placed his mom above him... That again was his junoon... His ishq will always be junoon... You cannot go awww when it comes to his ishq urf junoon...It will be sheer madness on his part... And then there is his song which says "tu hai sirf meri", so whatever happens, he will possesss her through his junooni acts and for everything he does she will accept it coz her song says that "roothi hoon phir bhi raazi"...And then there are other lines in the male version of the song :"Kitni baar hum milke bichde, tu hi jaane rabba""Dooriyan hai kyun darmiyaan"The lines in his song are yet to be played out...I am not saying this might happen ... I was just sharing my thoughts after toying with @Shri's idea and keeping in mind RK's persona...I sincerely wish the writers do not compromise on RK's strong, well-built character at any point in the story... This fear is always there for me, all thanks to the numerous hindi shows i have watched in the past and watching at present...
Excellent Post Leela
I really hope there will not be problems between RK and Madhu at this stage.
RK's and Madhu's relationship is at a Fragile stage and now if someone comes inbetween RK and Madhu, RK will definitely behave indifferently with Madhu.
Madhu has suffered a lot from the begining of her marriage. She has put lot of effort in working out things with RK.
Madhu's hatred against RK changed when RKwas shot and was close to death.
Now Madhu is in love with RK. She is also doing her KC Fast with full faith.
RK is in love with Madhu but still has to admit that he is in love and he really needs to see that he works out his relationship with Madhu in a positive way.
RK may push away Madhu from himself if something happens due to mischief done by a third person.
RK is a very unique person. The way he protects his wife from his family members is Simply Awesome. RK will always protect Madhu from any calamity. If a husband can take such good care of his wife in crisis and happiness the wife need not worry over any Storms coming in their life.
I really hope that CV's don't do any unncessary damage to RK's character.
I don't want to see Madhu suffering again that she lost RK's love or trust at this time.
I want RK's and Madhu's relationship to become more stronger with Love, Respect and Trust towards one another.
