Madhu is not loving him with the hope of love in return, though that's there. She is simply prioritizing him over her family in every situation. Nothing he did counts with her now. That's what makes this story so damn different.😳
In 'Kahiin To Hoga', they had Sujal love like this only *after* his zeal created a storm in Kashish's life.
To see a female lead be shown as that formidably selfless and devoted in love is magnificent.😳 Women have never been shown like this in Hindi serials (at least to my knowledge), where even the gentle qualities burn with the strength of a furnace and are absolutely indomitable.
Revenge (which hopefully will limit itself to being yesterday's fad) would almost assuredly end up overshadowing both the romance and heroine tracks. Revenge tracks nearly always leave everything else behind.
It's a pretty damn huge thing that the story is daring to present Madhu in the strongly selfless mould rather than weakly selfless in TV's traditionally female docility.😊
She is never weak or docile even when she's being quiet. You get the feeling that when she stops enduring, she'll take everyone down.😃 She chooses to endure because she can, though perhaps she should seriously reconsider the virtue of not turning the other cheek when faced with such epitomes of shameless hypocrisy as the Bhatia foursome.
It was always the guys who were given that strongly selfless in love character - where they prioritize the woman they love above everything else, and yet are so formidable that no one would ever think them weak. Sujal was *the* most so of all, but I can't remember a single female character before Madhu having that character to that extent.
There was always the point where they need validation - the man they love must love them, must respect them etc.
It is a magnificent twist that RK - so formidable an opponent, and such an outrageous combination of selflessness and vindictiveness - is the one who needs such validation in the Rishbala relationship. He will need to be sure of Madhu's feelings towards him in order to reciprocate, and even that he may do belatedly.
What Madhu shows the capacity to do is to love without considering conditions or the response or lack thereof, to just consider your own feelings enough.
Sujal once said that love was his obsession because seeing Kashish hurting hurt *him*. So he would do anything to keep Kashish from hurting, simply because *he* didn't want to feel that pain.😳
That is Madhu's love for RK. Logic has been left in the dust.😃
Like Sujal, she still loves her family. But - just like with Sujal - if they get hurt because of the person she loves, she can forgive that person. If the person she loves gets hurt because of them or anyone else, she can't forgive that.
It's frigging awe-inspiring.
