GUZARISH PRT 9

Rk stood there humming to himself a tune.His life was going perfect;The girl whom he loved actually befriended him.She was his pari,the reason he wanted to live.He was sitting on the sofa in the hall and playing fruit ninja in his mobile in a very relaxed manner.It was after years that he felt the need to be himself.He felt his toes getting wet and he spotted the brown mongeral whom they picked up the previous night while returning home.

Rk-"Hey little fella,Whats up? R u hungry?"

The mongrel showed him a puppy face as if telling him that he was bored.

Rk-"Are you waiting for ur mommy?"

The puppy nodded...

Rk-"Shall we call her?"

Rk tried calling madhu's mobile but the call was unanswered.Rk felt a strange feeling of dread seeping up in him.So lost in his thoughts that he did not notice radhaji sitting there and watching him.Radha knew it was the best time to talk about the secret she had hidden for years now.

Ra-"Rishu beta."

Rk looked up at her and he spotted a strange emotion like fear and pain in her eyes.He wondered the reason for it.all these years he saw disappointment and nothing but sadness in her eyes.He waited for her to continue.

Ra-"Rishu i know that you dont even like the sight of me but it is important that I speak to you.When your dad left us I was broken ,it killed me to bits .I know that you would mock at me telling i married again and I was happy,No the truth is I married for you ,it was because you needed a fatherly support in your life.Do you think i married to get another Mangalsutra and sindoor to live my life for myself?No it was only for you..I feel sorry not because of my descision but for you,you had failed to look for yourself.

Rk looked up at her in shock.

R continued-"had you cared for yourself ,you would have looked up to find your mother waiting for you at the same place with open arms;waiting patiently for you.I will continue to wait for you ."

Rk sat there processing everything in slowly.

The set of footsteps at the entrance distracted them.Everyone came down to see it.

Madhu was walking in wiping her tears and yuvraj was trying to talk to her.

Madhu-"I had heard enough from you UD...please leave"

Ud-"No Madhu just listen to me..please.."

Madhu screamed-"Leave I dont want to belive anything you say"

Ud cupped her face forcefully and said-"I know it is hard for you to belive but I Love You madhu ,more than my life,myself.please understand"

Madhu-"You can never love anyone other than yourself Mr.Yuvraj Chauhan or should I say Yuvraj Kundra?"

The silence which followed pierced three hearts at the next instant...

Ud stumbled back as if she whipped him.

Madhu-"What did you think I did not know that you were using me to protect your biological brother and mother.You tricked me into taking up Dasya's case ,not for you but for your family..."

The drop of a phone brought all back. they saw Rk staggering back a bit.He looked pale and ghost like. Even as they watched Radha fainted with a thud.Two voices calling to her like she rememberd years ago.

Rk&Ud-"MA..."
