RK's Silence

Madhu, Trishna, Padmini, and Bittuji all turned to see RK standing in the doorway to the police station.

RK stared straight at his wife who had tears in her eyes. Though he was heartbroken after seeing her in tears, he pretended to act unaffected by it. He casually walked up to the police officer.

RK: What I say will matter. I choose to drop all charges on Shamsher Malik.

Police Officer: But RK...he tried to take your lif...

RK: I said, drop the charges. I know he tried to kill me, he's my father-in-law, and he has every right. Bail him out. Now.

The police officer didn't think twice, he listened to what RK demanded and told another officer to take Malik out from behind bars. RK turned to stare at his biwi. She was still shocked at what had happened. She couldn't believe that RK had come to bail out Malik. RK continued to stare at her and then he began to walk towards her. He kept walking and then turned his gaze straight ahead while he walked past her. She put her hand on his arm. He stopped walking.

RK looked back and simply removed her hand from his arm.

Madhu: RK...

RK remained silent. Madhu knew he was upset that she hadn't listened to him when he had told her not to go back to her chawl. However, she didn't know that he was also upset that she didn't contact him as soon as she was in trouble.

RK walked out of the police station and Madhu put out her hand as if to grab him. She was just about to run after him when she heard Malik call her name.

She turned around.

Malik: I want to know if you will ever forgive me what I did.

Madhu: As a daughter, I forgive you. But as a wife, I never will be able to.

Madhu looked at her mom and her mom nodded, as if to say, "Go ahead". Madhu ran out of the police station to see RK as Malik watched her with tears in his eyes.

She was too late, she watched as RK's car zoomed off.

She tried to catch a taxi but it took her too long. It was ten minutes after RK left that Madhu caught a taxi. She asked to go to RK's mansion.

(Twenty minutes later.)

Madhu reached RK's mansion and she ran in. Dipali saw her running towards the stairs and she stood in front of her.

Dipali: Where do you think you're going? You're not welcome here anymore.

Madhu: Bhabi, I just want to see RK, once.

Dipali: No one wants you here. Everyone knows your truth.

Madhu: Bhabi...

Dipali: Get out!

Dipali pushed Madhu out.

RK (who was out walking and thinking) just happened to walk in at that moment and he caught Madhu.

Madhu looked at RK and they locked eyes for a moment. Then Madhu saw RK's face beginning to show anger.

RK turned his angry gaze towards Dipali while he still held Madhu.

Madhu kept her eyes on RK while he walked with her back into their house.

RK continued to hold Madhu while he began talking to Dipali.

RK: What do you think you're doing?

Dipali: RK...she was involved with the attac...

RK: I asked, what are you doing?

Dipali: Kicking that chawl worthy girl out of your house.

RK: My house. MY house. With what right were you kicking MY biwi out of MY house?

Dipali: RK...I'm only trying to hel...

RK: Madhu is my BIWI. This is MY house. I choose who stays here and who goes. You have no right to kick her out. It's MY decision. I could just as easily kick you out. But I'm not. So don't you dare think about kicking Madhubala KUNDRA out of Rishabh KUNDRA's house. This is her house more than it's yours. Do you understand BhabiJI?

RK raised an eyebrow and Dipali remained silent. Madhu, who still had RK's arm around her waist, continued to stare at RK. She was shocked at his sudden visible change of heart.

RK tugged at Madhu's waist and they walked up the stairs towards their room together.
