And what''s more beautiful in RK's reaction is, he tries to be light about it in his phone call to Madhu, but after Madhu slapped him, he understands why Madhu slapped him. Then the bully side of attack goes away, and the remorse kicks in. Because per his plan, that should not have happened. And more than Madhu slapping, it is his belief that the girl slapped him for right reasons keeps hurting him. And that leads him to design a revenge proposal which also has some recovery plan for Malik. All that help, RK was not doing for Madhu. He was part correcting himself so that he has his piece of mind and time to focus on things that he wants to focus on. So RK speaks out in the hospital...from him fun/ridicule tone, he accepts before Madhu that his men did that and he is responsible albeit unintentionally. Then he passionately screams out while retaliating to Madhu that he cannot be blamed or judged over what happened to Malik.---in the bottle breaking spree..

So that was RK's story/explanation to Madhubala on "Malik thrashing". The audience heard that. But lot of it was not correct. And therefore today's Bittuji's coming out in the open gives an OFFICIAL CLOSING to THAT STORY for the VIEWERS.

SD,
I went back and watched the bottle breaking scene and totally agree with what you said here...
Madhu's slaps could have made RK retrace his actions and see where he went wrong...
Him, defaming a girl led a father to barge in to his set and resulted in violence and that person
almost loosing his life...The RK we now know, who has not only a big ego but,a conscience would
have decided to exert his revenge( for the slaps) this time around in a different way where he would have enough scope to get back at MB but, with a societal license, with her dignity intact and also gives him a way to set right the things that went wayward first time around ...as you said the marriage bargain gave him a way to help Mallik, gave the legal status to the affair that he made up in public and at the same time making it utterly humiliating for Madhu...

But,he again got carried away in his ego game with Madhu when he hits at her dignity as a woman publicly during the party and we all know what his realization of that mistake led to..

It was so good to go back and watch the old scenes...with the revelation and clarity of the
characters we now have, I could clearly understand where those dialogues of Madhu were hitting RK...what made him so mad and how Madhu was shocked to realize for the first time that even this so called Jaanwar pati of hers was getting affected, can feel pain, has emotions...WOW !!...Is it not beautiful when we dissect those old scenes and derive pleasure by digging those hidden meanings all over again...??

SD your whole post today was brilliant and especially the part highlighted above to which Hima had a bang on response. 👏

Priya, welcome to the discussion thread and the MEIEJ forum!!! You'll find many good times to be had here! Loved your analysis as well!!

I've a bit of a headache, there are so many specific things I wanted to respond to that you all have posted/talked about in this thread. I agree wholeheartedly, I adore Bittuji after today, I had already decided this when he apologized to Madhu in the hospital but this just solidified it. I love how he was still on Madhu and Padmani's side (of course if Partner were here she'd point out how there was no other choice for him considering the love story being developed here - currently on the backburner to wrap up this track). Dipzy - have to no words other than to say I agree, today was not the day for RK to blow up at her, that day will be Thursday (or perhaps Friday depending on when the promo scene comes up on Thursday's episode). After the way Dipzy tries to throw Madhu out, RK better have something to say about it.

@bold - I keep going back to watch old scenes now for exactly that reason - with the clarity we have of the characters now and seeing them start falling for each other etc. not only do we understand why RK may have responded the way he did at the time but they had so many little things in those earlier episodes that you can go back and see in a different light now based on what has no happened since. I love it!

Welcome priya, please stay on here, it is a great discussion thread.

And thanks for defending madhu so beautifully, I have a soft spot for her and am always looking to defend her😊, kinks, chinks and all.

Madhu -Malik : Something that madhu said to malik at the chawl on monday struck me then but could'nt dwell on it. She said, he tried not once but twice to kill RK. Which is shocking for her as a daughter and as a wife, because the second time at the hospital, Malik fought with her to try and stab RK. Vinaasha Kaale Viprith Buddhi🤢. And he tried a third time at the pooja(she does'nt even know that bit yet). As a daughter, she can understand the reason behind his anger, and even condone the first time, but he continued even after he knew how affected she was post the first attack. Like yesterday, when Dipali kept taunting Madhu, Malik suddenly turned around in absolute rage at her, the fear in madhu and Padmini's face was telling, they were shocked at the murderous rage in his reaction.

Dipali - RK - I don't recall who mentioned this, but RK/Vivian looked like he had been unwell, maybe that's why the extra drama was warranted in his absence!

Apart from the behind-the-scenes requirement, I still cannot accept RK's relative mildness yesterday. Even granted that he went to bed, thinking all was well in his world..he had closed the case, he had prohibited MAdhu from going home, he was stunned that so much had happened, and the worst had taken place for Madhu in his absence. He has Bittuji to get his information from.😃.

Granted that he has no relationship or normal communication whatsoever with his family. However, he has always got away with his arrogant attitude with them and they are too terrified to protest because they are all basically moochers. He has to turn on his THE RK attitude with Dipali, in front of his mom, Sikky, Kukkuji (though poor kukkuji has hardly had even one proper dialogue in sometime). It is not just that 'madhu is his wife' he also has to impress upon them that Dipali has no rights in his house. She has been running the house since last week. How can he allow that? His BBB of her has to take place in the hall. Enough of their private, cosy conversations in his bedroom😡
I for one, will be disappointed if this does'nt happen tomorrow. If he could also throw a BBB of Maa Turncoat Radhaji, it would be an added bonus😉. Basically BBB everyone who irritated us last week😆

All said and done, I am happy this killer track is closing this week. It has been too stressful with hazaar mini tracks thrown in 😊...I am all set for the next track to begin.

WOWWW!! completely enjoyed everyone's view... I wanted to say so much but after reading all your views.. I have forgotten what I wanted to say..😳

Apollo - wow!! you nailed it dear... It is indifference thus he is keeping Dipz at home and not throwing her out for her acts... He is hoping she will get the message... And yes.. a private person whodoesn'twant his personal life in news... and if he throws his family out, it will be headlines and also the family will take advantage and expose his past to papers.. by keeping them home he is shutting them up.. they can't go to media now..😆

Yes!! Bittu ji was the hero.. I loved his loyalty and his acceptance... superb!!

There was many things I wanted to say... and yes... it was great to finally see RK... I was missing him... :( and yes, he did look unwell.. maybe that might be the reason for his absence... :( :( Please take good care of your health Viv!!!

And yes.. that gooey loook he gave madhuu...it just melted me... wow!! Madhu and RK talk with their eyes... and I just love that about them...and true he never gave her that loook... it was just amazing...

for me that look was like saying... I can't see you in pain.. please listen to me and trust me... and I am here back to save you and be your strength. WOWWW!!!!!

PS: HAPPYY CHILDREN'S DAY!!!!!!!!!🥳

an after thought - I feel after all these RK would want Madhu to be successful and have her own identity. So that no person like Dipz can come and insult her. That chawl low-life and all... it will be for that he would want to shut DIPZ up.. If madhu is successful.. Dipz can't insult her like she does now... I don't understand.. wh Dipz keeps forgetting she too was a low-life-living in chawl before she married Sikky!!😡😡
How RK becamea superstar just to shut everyone up and prove the world wrong... He would want Madhu to be sttrong as well...

And another thing... RK-Madhu remind me of St. Vincent-Evie from "Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas" ... their relation was also very private... and so is RK-Madhus... they ae so different and free when alone and little different when with others... Just love to see these little changes in their behavior...

Great post!!!!

RE the above : I definitely see the shades of St. Vincent and Evie in Madhu and RK especially what you pointed out, and then so many other little things... For example St. Vincent getting injured and being near death's door, Evie caring for him (the most obvious). Not to mention St. Vincent being that terrible villian that made you go, how can this guy be the hero of a love story but then having that ... ahhh that's how moment...

(Devil in Winter is a great book but I think It Happened One Autumn would still be my most favourite in that series.. there was just something about Marcus..)

Coming to the review of the episode: To me the 13 minutes after the 7 minutes count as today's drama

Shringaar Rasa - The BEST SCENE of the DAY
Bittuji - Malik Interaction - the explanation of Who beat Malik. Chief or Bittuji

This scene was much needed closure for Malik beaten by RK fallacy. I had always noted that RK was not the one who ordered Malik to be beaten. He did not even lay his hands on Malik. For him Malik "to be beaten" was never the part of his revenge plan. He repeatedly and very passionately tells Madhu, NOT ONCE BUT THREE TIMES that Malik get beaten up was unintentional and he was not responsible. We have seen this trait time and again that RK does not like to take blame for what he did not plan to be blamed for or for what he did not commit.
However, RK since he asked his men to take care of Malik, he assumed full responsibility of Malik bashing. He feels morally responsible of the whole act. And what''s more beautiful in RK's reaction is, he tries to be light about it in his phone call to Madhu, but after Madhu slapped him, he understands why Madhu slapped him. Its a smart move from story writers to have that scene between the two men...Shamsher Malik and Bittuji. Two men...Short men have always higher ego. Bittuji is justified with that kind of vicious response to him being slapped by a taller, muscular man like Shamsher Singh. I really do not care whether writers thought about these psychological elements while writing the fight scene, but I like to see it that way, analyse it that way.

Bittuji remained true to his character today. He loves his Chief, so defends him. He respects his Chief's choice...his Biwi. So he maintains that respect. However he calls her his Bhabhiji. So he shows his hurt. Why did you lie to me that you came for pooja, when you had all this going...because ...because, isn't Bittuji privy to all the matters of his Chief including his feelings around his Biwi. So I liked that caring and admonishing demeanour from Bittuji towards Madhu. In the same token, he is there with her when she wants to go to police station. He cleared everything to Shamsher, he owed that much explanation to Shamsher because of his new found respect for Madhu as his Bhabhiji and his Chief's caring wife. Madhu's family is important to Chief and so it is important even for Bittuji.

First off, thanks to everyone who liked my post! I'm a total novice when it comes to you guys so I'm always shocked when someone likes what I said. 😳
Like I said before, I think if you remember the dialogue RK said: I don't see these people, it makes the Dips scenes a lot more bearable. For me, RK does not want to a) bring any attention to his private life in front of the media, which if he made a big deal out of what Dips does, and throws her out of the house, would happen, and b) give her more importance and attention than he has to. I think, thus far, he was doing the ignorance thing and it was working- remember that she had been in London so long he had begun to think she would stay there? The only reason she is back and so in his face is because of Madhu. I don't think it was like that before- I get the feeling she had a wait and let him come back into my arms attitude. With Madhu in the picture she's a lot more aggressive. And it's going to take RK a little while to deal with that. Plus, I feel like his private attitude extends towards the Bhatias- he does not consider them family, and as far as he is concerned, they have no business knowing his private affairs- and Dipali is a private affair because of the previous relation between them. Add that to his conservative nature and no wonder he's clinging to ignoring her and verbally thrashing her- there isn't much more he can do. Tell Sikky? What good will that do? All it will do is make Kuku and Radha aware of what's going on- and Radha is never on his side. Sikky can't control his wife. Throw them out of the house? So the media will know everything becasue his family is that shameless that they will use it to their advantage.
No, Dipali will stay because her fight is with Madhu, and Madhu has to be the one to take command and put her in her place. And that will take time because a) Madhu needs to grow as a person and gain confidence in herself , and b) Madhu needs to have confidence in her relationship with RK, which won't come for a while. She knows her feelings for him-but has no clue about his feelings for her. How can she effectively fight Deepali without being secure and grounded? I hope this KC track will begin to show her fighting back in some way though. I don't mind waiting for Deepali to be bought into the mud. I just want them to start showing Madhu on her journey to do so.
