Shringaar Rasa - The BEST SCENE of the DAY
Bittuji - Malik Interaction - the explanation of Who beat Malik. Chief or Bittuji
This scene was much needed closure for Malik beaten by RK fallacy. I had always noted that RK was not the one who ordered Malik to be beaten. He did not even lay his hands on Malik. For him Malik "to be beaten" was never the part of his revenge plan. He repeatedly and very passionately tells Madhu, NOT ONCE BUT THREE TIMES that Malik get beaten up was unintentional and he was not responsible. We have seen this trait time and again that RK does not like to take blame for what he did not plan to be blamed for or for what he did not commit.
However, RK since he asked his men to take care of Malik, he assumed full responsibility of Malik bashing. He feels morally responsible of the whole act. And what''s more beautiful in RK's reaction is, he tries to be light about it in his phone call to Madhu, but after Madhu slapped him, he understands why Madhu slapped him. Then the bully side of attack goes away, and the remorse kicks in. Because per his plan, that should not have happened. And more than Madhu slapping, it is his belief that the girl slapped him for right reasons keeps hurting him. And that leads him to design a revenge proposal which also has some recovery plan for Malik. All that help, RK was not doing for Madhu. He was part correcting himself so that he has his piece of mind and time to focus on things that he wants to focus on. So RK speaks out in the hospital...from him fun/ridicule tone, he accepts before Madhu that his men did that and he is responsible albeit unintentionally. Then he passionately screams out while retaliating to Madhu that he cannot be blamed or judged over what happened to Malik.---in the bottle breaking spree..
So that was RK's story/explanation to Madhubala on "Malik thrashing". The audience heard that. But lot of it was not correct. And therefore today's Bittuji's coming out in the open gives an OFFICIAL CLOSING to THAT STORY for the VIEWERS.
Its a smart move from story writers to have that scene between the two men...Shamsher Malik and Bittuji. Two men...Short men have always higher ego. Bittuji is justified with that kind of vicious response to him being slapped by a taller, muscular man like Shamsher Singh. I really do not care whether writers thought about these psychological elements while writing the fight scene, but I like to see it that way, analyse it that way.
Bittuji remained true to his character today. He loves his Chief, so defends him. He respects his Chief's choice...his Biwi. So he maintains that respect. However he calls her his Bhabhiji. So he shows his hurt. Why did you lie to me that you came for pooja, when you had all this going...because ...because, isn't Bittuji privy to all the matters of his Chief including his feelings around his Biwi. So I liked that caring and admonishing demeanour from Bittuji towards Madhu. In the same token, he is there with her when she wants to go to police station. He cleared everything to Shamsher, he owed that much explanation to Shamsher because of his new found respect for Madhu as his Bhabhiji and his Chief's caring wife. Madhu's family is important to Chief and so it is important even for Bittuji.
