RE the above : I definitely see the shades of St. Vincent and Evie in Madhu and RK especially what you pointed out, and then so many other little things... For example St. Vincent getting injured and being near death's door, Evie caring for him (the most obvious). Not to mention St. Vincent being that terrible villian that made you go, how can this guy be the hero of a love story but then having that ... ahhh that's how moment...
(Devil in Winter is a great book but I think It Happened One Autumn would still be my most favourite in that series.. there was just something about Marcus..)
Thanks Preet!!! Oh yes... there is definitely many things we can see in them that are similar to Evie and Vincent... I will re-read this book soon now... I am just in love with their lovestory
Devil in Winter is my favorite.. It happened one Autumn is 2nd best in the series for me. I just could not tolerate Lilian much... But yes, Marcus...*sighs* he was just mesmerizing.. But still St. Vincent is my favorite... Even when he was vile seducer. I fell for him...☺️
@bold: I remember all these scenes and his quirky sense of humor...
Upon learning that Evie had gone without
breakfast or lunch, Sebastian had a supper tray sent upstairs, accompanied by a terse note.
My lady,
This tray will be returned for my inspection within the hour. If everything on it is not eaten, I will
personally force-feed it to you.
Bon appetit,
S.
These little things with that note... wow!! he was just superb!!!
"Mysteries of attraction could not always be explained through logic. Sometimes the fractures in two separate souls became the very hinges that held them together."
This quote defines Madhu-Rk 's relation as well as it did for Vincent and Evie...
