Salma 😊, I can find logic in RK's feelings for Madhu because of what she did for him, despite what he did so wrong to her and her family.

I just do not understand Madhu's reason for falling for RK, is she feeling bad for him because what happened to him in the past, I am as confused as Madhu is regarding why she is feeling like this for RK.

I guess when a girl gets married, this does tend to happen as you have to take care for your hubby and his family.

RK certainly respects Shammo for what he did for Madhu and deep down wishes that his step father was like him or even his own father who left him to fend for himself by committing suicide.

I think in future Shammo will take RK under his wing and fill the hole in his heart when his father died.

Salma, love the points you make.👏
Even if Madhu weren't falling in love against all reason and logicEmbarrassed, she is still a conservative girl who would want to make her marriage work if her husband were at all someone she could accept.😊
Padmini is even more conservative.😛 Neither mother nor daughter would have had a problem accepting far fewer signs of concealed goodness in RK to set aside the animosity of the past.😊
Instead, they have both seen enough to be reassured about his character and hope for the marriage to work out despite how it started and everything that has gone by.Embarrassed
Yes, I too am hoping that not just Shamsher but Padmini too will be the parental figures RK needs.😃
Loved reading your points.👏 Thank you so much for coming and checking on my response and giving a rejoinder here.Embarrassed

She didn't know - she still doesn't - that she's falling in love. It was never a choice, so she has no way to stop.😳

I think Madhu already knows she loves him - I think she realizes it when he wakes up in the hospital, the first time 'Hum hain deewane" female version plays.

It's her love that amazes RK, he maybe attracted to her, find her beautiful, but in the end it's her capacity to love him inspite of everything that touches his core and makes him truly fall for her. That's why the male version is so poignant-
Your love is my obsession - your love fills this void in my heart, isin't it strange that by fulfilling my need to be loved, you make me yearn for more ( Bujhke na bhuje ye pyass hai rabba)

Thanks for the generous compliment, dear.Embarrassed
Madhu probably does know subconsciously that she loves him, but I think consciously she has only realized she can't bear to see him even discomfited, let alone physically or emotionally hurt.😃
More than love, it is the quality of her feelings that may have made an impact on RK. This is a man who prizes loyalty, and her devotion and loyalty to him - especially the proven depth and extent of both - were staggeringly unexpected.Embarrassed
But your points are so damn accurate.⭐️ These characters are so complex that several of us could have slightly differing takes, and the reasoning will end up more intricately interwoven than any one take.
Loved your entire post, especially re. the fittingly apt song.👏

Thoroughly enjoyed reading your lovely post. I always liked the way RK's spelled out his options to Madhu. Initially like you said she had no options but was forced into drinking the home made remedy he made for her this was when he was not crazy about her but he did like her spunk and spirit. This we all know when he says on September 24th "ab tumse khoi bhi baat manvana kitna asan ho gaya haivo pehli wali Madhu uski baat hi kuch aur thie" Later on on 27th September's episode when Madhu says "Yeh baat sahi hai ki mai tumha bilkul nahi pasand karti" he was amazed that she would tell him this to his face that is why he calls her a bahadur laadki and says"aaj thuk tumne jo kiya hai apne aakad say hi kiya hai" I think from then on his respect for her grew. There is no way he is going to send her back to her babul's place permenently as she is the only one he know is decent, loyal, loving and a supportive wife who will give up her life if need be to save him if it comes to that. He knows she is traditional and God fearing and to her leaving him and going back to her parents under any condition is not an option. He has started to care about her a great deal and without his biwi by his side I am sure he too cannot imagine life. In a short time she has become an important part of his life he cannot do without. I totally agree with you I am quoting what you have written Leelaa If RK wants Madhu to do something, he need only show physical or emotional vulnerability or hurt. He would not need to pretend. Just a fractional unveiling of actuality, and she would be putty in his hands. How ironical then that the master-manipulator can't even think of deliberately using so surefire a weapon against the wife whose devotion to him is so clear even when she is displeased or irate. No matter what happens even if the truth is revealed to the world that Mallik is the shooter RK will stand by Madhu and Mallik and he would do this only because he would never want to see her shattered.Like he himself says to Mallik "mei bhi kam papi nahi hoon aap ka mujpar hamla karna, muje marneki koshish karna banta hai" He understands why Mallik did all this because of his love for his daughter. It is way past my bed time so this is all I have to say for now.

Thanks so much, Girija, both for liking my post and for writing at such length in response.😳
I think RK sometimes pretends rather the converse of his actual feelings.😕
He liked Madhu's spirit and courage, and considered her spunky antagonism a challenge, but the end-result each time was always unpleasant for Madhu sooner or later.
But Madhu more pliable and gentle got quite a lot of things her way, and he just gave in.😃
The more courteously she dealt with him rather than being abrasive or strident, the more he was willing to compromise with what she wanted.😊
When Madhu told him that she didn't like him, he could see what she didn't realize - that she no longer disliked him, and it would be very easy to get her sympathy, empathy and liking if he let his shields down even in pretence.😳
But his respect for her is definitely rooted in the fact that she has never struck aagainst him treacherously but rather to his face.😃
Absolutely agree on almost all the points you have made. You write so beautifully.👏 Loved reading your take. Thanks for taking the trouble to write so in-depth a rejoinder.😃

Priya, if I didn't have a self-applicable rule about not changing or adding onto these essay posts once I start a thread on them, I'd be asking your permission to add this point you've brought up to the post since it fits into the track and take of the essay.😃 But since I don't have the gall to modify - especially to add anything😆 - the post, I'll just do a metaphorical <headdesk> instead.😛 But thanks for bringing up such an outstanding point anyway.⭐️👏
*And* thanks so much for liking my analysis.😳 Your take is always so in-depth re. currents and undercurrents. Fantastic.👏

Thanks 😊 Yes Madhu and Padmini are conservative in thinking. If Padmini can still put sindoor for her monster husband, at least RK is way milder then Madhu's dad. That is one of the reasons why both mother and daughter has developed a soft corner for RK, after discovering he is not so bad as he seems.

I have read both of your post, will reply to and will let you know my thoughts.

I totally agree with u what u have written, this was what i wanted to convey, but couldn't find words like u :)

I was thinking about what I actually wanted to say here - when I used the word "Love", it's for a lack of better word and you really nailed it with these words "quality of her feelings" and "especially the proven depth and extent of both - devotion and loyalty ".

I used the word "love" more in the context of Madhu's capacity to love/care for another person ( esp a flawed person like RK ) as a human being and her capacity to empathize and see good in him after everything she has gone through.

I also feel they have not yet acknowledged/realized their love yet, the romantic/passionate kind and you have expressed what i felt so beautifully.

Re. Madhu and Padmini, agreed. Having experience of a live specimen of an actual 'jaanwar' makes it difficult to pretend for long that RK is really anything of the sort.😳😆
Thanks, Salma. Look forward to reading your comments.😊

Beautifully written Leela. I enjoyed reading it.

I always know RK not blaming or forgiving or returning Madhu to Shammu will not have anything to do with how Rishbala'sfeeling towards each other.

It would be he is impressed with Shammu's love for her daughter. RK is a man who has craved for this kind of a relationship from someone near to him. As U said it is not about him not accepting Kuku as his father. It is because he sees the real Kuku and his intentions. He doesn't see any love for him in Kuku Bhatia's eyes. U are right about Radhaji. I wonder what was she thinking when she married Kuku, or what was the circumstances which made her do it.

About Madhu and RK, however much they fight, they has egos, for both of them each other's well being is the priority and they do not keep the anger with them for long. Both of them are similar in that way.

I hope in the coming days, Shammu too start understanding RK like Paddy did. For Paddy she has someone whom she can compare with RK and that is Ballu, and RK seems to be an angel compared with Ballu. Not only that the trust she has for her daughter too was the cause of her change of mind. She knows Madhu will not take a wrong decision. So if Madhu does all that to protect RK, there should be some reason for that. And the machines RK brought from abroad, but not getting any credits was the realization point for Paddy, on what kind of a man RK is. Though both mother and daughter still in a dilemma about RK completely, they both knows RK is not a bad person.

Thanks a ton, Shahi, both for liking my writing, and for writing such a lovely post yourself.😊
Really wish you make separate posts yourself. Your writing is
