Excellent read!! I loved it!!! Thanks for sharing SD!

This is slightly different and I hope it doesn't offend anyone but another video about Indian Dramas. While I don't agree with everything he says (I don't think I've seen enough Indian dramas to be able to make such a decision on their likeness) it's a fun watch.

Warning - some might find it a little juvenille and OTT.

So I went back and watched the scenes. Balraj not only mentions both his first and last name a million times but he also mentions his daughter named Madhubala and a bit about her death PLUS he says that Padmani was his second wife.

I think that because of RK's anger at the time he wasn't as observant as he normally is and while he's got all the pieces of the puzzle right now that incident with that crazy man in the jail cell wasn't big enough to register for him, it was insignificant to his life but something will happen that will trigger those memories. Obviously that won't be until they're ready to bring the Ballu track up. Can you imagine that confrontation when RK realizes that this crazy man is trying to harm his biwi? He wasn't at all cowed by him in the cell, stood toe to toe to him and answered him right back.

Sorry my dear. I don't have any intention to shut others up. But it so happens that I felt guilty for ranting and I wanted to make amend to my behaviour by focussing on what our other lovely friends had to say. So some pent-up thoughts actually surfaced before all of you. Otherwise, the amount of analytical thought I have, it will soon become treatise. You are all saved from that torture because I am myself lazy and won't write until it really gets contextual.
Sach ! this is the truth. 😳

@everyone
real life drama around us actually gives one a keen insight as to what is extreme, what is mild, what is true and what is false. Like so many others, I too have seen and continue to see lot of drama going in real life. Never in the types of feel-good life. And it has always made me happy to ridicule that drama, as then I see so many better things that we have to see. We just need to get away from the daily grind in one or the other way. Laughter and Fun is so much healthier than being morose although seriousness seems to be the prevailing order of the day.

@bold - I don't think that you should ever feel guilty for coming here and saying how you feel at any given time. I always think of this thread as a safe place where we may sometimes disagree about certain things but that just leads to healthy conversation around the subject. Then the next day something happens and we're all on the same page again. I think we all have days like that. I know I love reading your takes/rants/analyses regardless of if I agree with everything you say or not because it always forces me to consider the situation from another point of view thus bettering my understanding of something and making me consider other things.

@real life - I couldn't agree more about laughter and fun while seriousness has its time and place we can never forget the laughter in life and the little things. I saw this image once and it's something that I look at from time to time when I forget what's important. My motto has been for a long time that I get to decide what kind of day I'm going to have, I will only allow myself to determine my mood and not someone else, easier said than done some days but it gets easier the more you try it. I went off on my own little tangent there didn't I? lol

If you ask me, Shamsher as the wonderful father in adopted sense and not in biological bonding sense has already given her a SKEWED outlook on daughter's duties. She is constantly burdening herself with the weight of her gratitude to the man who became her father and in process though wanting to call him papa, calls him MAALIK ; quite different from her mother's MALIK. Its too much of baggage. Its now a good development that Shamsher's flaw will let her shed some of that weight.

Little by little as she gets free-er, we will start to see the true Madhubala. With Trishna around at her home, she became the elder sister around even when she was younger to Trishna. Now RK has no one else than her to pamper. He is no Trishna and no Shamsher where Madhu should feel the weight of gratitude. She is actually much free in RK's place.

@ bold - I couldn't agree more! (Well this whole part is brilliant and I agree with it all but this line stands out in particular)

Sonu and I were talking about old episodes and it always interested me that Madhu was shown never to really have a yearning for more, she's always been content. She was going to marry a man she didn't love because he was the right choice (I saw this as settling for what everyone said was good) but instead now she's in a marriage that is going to have an all consuming passionate love.

Preet,

Hilarious. 🤣When that guy was talking about the innocent heroine, the DIL, I started remembering Pamela and Clarissa. Read this. I wrote it when I was watching HD in earlier part of the year.

Going to go read that now..
ETA : Excellent post! I feel like I have to read those books - they sounds quite interesting.

You should check out JusReign's Save a Brown Child as well, we showed it to my parents when it first came out because my parents were a little hard to reach when they first started watching these channels - we told them we needed to be saved! lol..

His videos are funny, my siblings are always watching them.

So I stole this picture from Bangalores' post "Weekend Portraits" that Partner has posted a link for in this thread (go check it out if you haven't!). Every time I see this scene I can't help but think - Madhu went over to him to make him more comfortable but seriously - look at the angle of his neck/head and how his body is lying on that couch. You cannot tell me that adding that extra pillow made him more comfortable. Of course the man woke up, you've gone and made him all uncomfortable - but... one wonders, was that the plan all along?

And with that I'm calling it a night lol.. I feel like I'm just making post after post here to an empty thread - I would imagine everyone else is sleeping (as they should be) or doing something more productive lol

Madhu's beauty
Btw, I never said it explicitly. Hope we all agree that Madhu's beauty actually is a show-stopper for RK Express. Don't you think so ? Madhu might appear all angry, proud, stubborn, caring and all that before RK, however Rishabh Kundra is not excited with those traits of Madhu. He hardly cares as he has plenty of it in himself. What he likes is how those traits emotionally flare up Madhu and how her beauty comes across to him forcing him to stop in his tracks and just look at her. Basically its likes a bumpy accident to his smooth driving.

That's how he has changed so much in Madhu's company. True to story's plotline, Madhu's beauty captivates him in all senses. The storyline doesn't require Madhu to be intelligent. The plot requirement is for her to be extremely honest and wearing her heart on her sleeve. In process of experience she may stop being so transparent, but her first time reactions are always going to be naive and straight from her heart. And this will gradually lead Rishabh to want her in his life. He is a superstar. He needs to have a gilb tongue to get through his everyday life. It must be such a relief to talk to someone where he doesn't need to act being worried for pitfalls in the process. But her honesty, transparency would never have been enough to attract a man like RK to bond with her and marry her, even if it was a game in the beginning. He needed to be mesmerized by her. And Madhu...she sort of would have been a blonde belle and happily settle down where her mother would have wanted her to settle down, had it not been for RK. The way Madhu was shown enjoying the movie, there is so much of unexplored and unrequited childhood desires in her.

I always wondered what made RK so captivated by MB during their 1st encounter...he,being from the film industry must be used to glamour, glitz and beauty all around...being a super star must be used to people waiting and in attendance...crazy fans jumping out for one glimpse of him so,when this girl who is so very ordinary in her clothing and appearance looks straight in to his eyes with her head held high and her shoulder straight with no sign of getting intimidated by the surroundings, with confidence oozing out he just could not move his eyes away from her...as you so rightly said its her traits that shone through her and enhanced her beauty for him...we also saw how RK was mesmerized by MB on the party night when she finally comes down...she shies away when the lights focus on her...she looked at him vulnerable, nervous, with fear as if she was at his mercy, succumbing to his will, overpowered by him but, wanting his protection...it was so endearing for him...made her even more beautiful...he was again captivated and walks to her in a trance and offers his hand...holds her close and introduces her but,I felt it was as if a horseman would get satisfied after gaining control over a wild horse and proudly introduces his prized possession...he did the same thing but, only until he finds out that it was not wholly his achievement after all and so,again sets out to humiliate her...

Recently he openly stated how Madhu's anger adds a new shade to her cheeks and how he likes it...After Madhu saved his life its her compassion, love, consideration and pain for him (when she hides the fact about her giving blood and all) that shine through her and makes her irresistibly beautiful for him... her naivety and honesty always make him notice her and there after gets encompassed by her.

REd...I loved what you said there...agree...Madhu's innocent, pure heart is very soothing to him..it would always make him want to cherish her even more.

SD, you really are a genius...your insights make so many things clear to us and adds beauty to our viewing...

This dialogue was meant for both Shamsher and Madhu and more so to Madhu. That both should not forget that he still considers Madhu as his. Madhu was quite baffled at the sense of ownership shown by RK to her father and asking him to take care of her, as in let my biwi enjoy her stay here. Just moments (hours ago in RK mansion) she was crying that RK has insulted her dad when Dad wanted to mend relations with him. So RK was indirectly telling Madhu that he has now made up with Shamsher and he has upheld her heart.

I didn't think much from Madhu's side but,you are right...it was a reminder to Madhu also that how ever much she could think of her babul,at the end of the day she is his wife and also that her happiness is important to him...as you guys said he wanted to be in her good books now...so,letting her know that he is making every effort to keep her happy...again shri, great takes as always... loved to read them all...

I am excited to see them miss eachother, find the weirdest reasons to call eachother. I actually want RK to come over the next day and spend time at Madhu's place' I am pretty sure Padmini will be pleased to pamper him and RK to entertain her. May be he stays over the next day to escape Dipali :-P I just want him around when Madhu gets to know the truth.

Well said, i am looking forward to the two day separation. I don't want them to reduce it, especially not because of Dipali's despo act. Madhu is not his bodyguard.
RK can just lock his bedroom door, right??😕...Bittuji, naukar, sasurji, bhabhiji and last but not the least, ironically, BIWI ...walk in and out of his room all day!! I mean, he had to lock the door and stand in front so that she would'nt leave (sari drama?)😆

I want them to call each other all day and all that...hope it happens😊

On this note...until the next episode...

Agree. Every word of it. And @bold, I am all LOL. Until recently they had same kind of treatment with Trishna, Roma and Padmini. They packed off Trishna and Roma ; improved Padmini 😆
Wonder what they have in store for Madhu..

About RK, what he likes about Madhu is not only her beauty but her ability to call spade a spade. Will look into his eyes and say what is right. She is as transparent as a mirror for him to see. Who does not pretend to care but does it out of genuine feeling. Who is loyal to him, when all he deserved from her is hate for how he married her and ruined her's and her family reputation.

RK has started to admire Madhu for those qualities in her. Her ability to feel bad for a person like him.

About Shamsher you can not blame him, why Madhu should not feel grateful for that man, because of him she could come to this world. If it not for him she would have not even been born. He has been a real father to her in all the sense, just for his one mistake and would not even call that one, because that was out of his fatherly concern that made him do all that. Heck even RK also acknowledges this fact and is infact kind of proud for his Madhu to have a father like him. That warning was just, please do not do this thing again, as this will hurt Madhu.

RK needs to make up to Madhu for all the pain and humiliation her put her through and her family. She deserves this much consideration from RK.

RK and Shammo both are good people, but circumstances had made them what they are. Both of them chose the wrong way to deal with the situations in their lives.

Like RK admitted he has wronged them after realizing his mistake, Shammo will also admit he was wrong when RK will take the case back and show Shammo his real side the one that he hides from everyone.

Madhu's subconscious feels something for RK, but her conscious state is no how can I fall for a man like RK, who has been horrible to her family, she feels more horrible for her family then herself.
